Love the bow and curly green hair combo!
She looks beautiful! And the line around the eye makes the eyes really pop out! And the hair! How does one do pony hair that nice?
Ooh, I'm in love with her hair! I don't think I've seen a tail done like that before.
love her glam eye makeup and colors!
OMGS! She's so sweet and old fashioned and 50s! I adore her! Waaaant!
Prettty
I love the short do! You don't see that enough in customs ^_^

Thank you all for all the nice compliments  it means a lot :3    ;)

Seconded on her hairstyling being adorable.

I think you did an amazing job of balancing all those strong citrus colors. That can be pretty challenging. :)

With the caveat that I don't know too much about customization myself, some of the linework looks a bit shaky, especially around the eyes. You might need a thinner brush and to work more slowly. I also wouldn't outline the symbol in stark black since it throws off the sweet, colorful appearance imo, but that's just me. This is such a super cute custom overall!

It is true  i need to take my time on the linework and get more focused on it
and it does look way too harsh.. the sark outline
oh well, we live and we learn  :art:
Thank you so much for being blunt with me but still enjoying her  :deathhug:

Well... for anyone interested in an update.

I have left a terse negative on the seller's feedback. I then opened a case after sitting there and thinking on it a moment. I probably should have contacted the seller first. My inexperienced bad  -_-

Unfortunately most of the ponies are in crap condition - hair cuts a plenty and several are damaged beyond repair by way of chew marks (actually splitting the vinyl). I could see a couple of chews in the pics (and I thought all those ponies had been retained by the seller), but there are lots of hair cuts and damage that was not obvious or mentioned in the description, which was along the lines of 'some ponies in better condition than others'. I am especially pissed to find Baby Lucky Leaf's horn missing entirely.

I have opened a case based on item not as described, asking for some form of reimbursement. I feel a bit sick doing it, actually. I hate this sort of thing and dread what response I'll get.

I have never opened a case like this on ebay before. If I am not happy with their response do I just let ebay decide? Who ends up out of pocket if the seller refunds something but not enough? Does ebay fork out the rest?

Sorry for the questions   If I can draw from anyone's past experience that would be helpful xx

...damn

Pony Corral / Re: Is this a common factory error?
« on: March 13, 2017, 05:13:44 PM »
It may have been smudged by the machine when it was stamped on or being moved for the flocking, to me it looks more like a second, lighter stamped next to the clearer one

Seems to be the same to me too. I wouldnt bother about it too much, just a factory error by the looks of it :P

Sometimes employees walk off with merchandise but that's pretty rare (and a huge risk for said employee).  It's most common that the factory owner is selling the stock behind the backs of their contractors, either directly online to to a third party who lists them.

Not surprising they're getting them at the factory and selling them for less than Hasbro's retail - I mean there's a huge markup on almost all products when you look at how much big companies pay the factories to make their stuff compared to what the end user shells out for them.  Between companies like Hasbro and retailers (let's say, Toys R' Us) there's often a doubling of price.  Between Hasbro and the factories, probably an even bigger jump.  So factories sell stuff on the side because the profit they get is much better than the per unit cost for the legitimate contracts.  Even if they get half of what Hasbro's charging, it only cost them pennies on the dollar to make.

As for the missing zap codes, only conjecture but maybe it's to pass them off as 'flawed merchandise' if there was ever an inquiry, as I'm sure whatever contract Hasbro has specifies that all the retail-bound ponies have to meet a specific design sheet.  If they were made before and design specs. changed, why wouldn't they just run them through the extra step to pad-print the missing marks?  Much easier than running a full new batch of ponies.

Really liked your posts on the matter, although I had suspected about this, your arguments are more solid and well constructed than my own conjectures. But yeah, with my little knowlegde about how things work, I bluntly believe that that is indeed what happens. Its a reality - they need profit, and why not. I think it's very easy to understand and pretty plausible with the given life patterns of nowadays. Sadly we dont live in the pony world...
