I'd love pictures if anyone has them.

Dumb question for an Animal Crossing newbie:

What if I want my town/island to remain relatively small with a relatively small population?  I just don't want it to get to the point it's like a job to play, like Farmville on Facebook got.  :p
Hmm I don't think there's much you HAVE to do? Even if you have a fair amount of animals, you aren't obligated to take care of them or talk to them or anything. They wander around anyway, so you sort of stumble across them as you play for fun.
The only things that you might feel obligated to do are to participate in the seasonal events (very rare and holidays only), watering wilted flowers (random and usually not overwhelming, dependant on how many flowers you plant), and plucking weeds. In New Leaf, you always had 2-3 weeds a day, I'm sure there will be a set number of them.

Thank you!

I need to find these... but it seems like only Amazon carries them???
The website for them says no place locally for me has them :/

I have a local store that sells them.  I can pick them up, provided they are still in stock.  They are $10 each, and shipping I know isn't cheap anymore.

If you would want me to get any for you, let me know!  Feel free to message me.

I traded in my 2ds xl and used the money to preorder New Horizons.   It will be my first Animal Crossing game.  Everything I have seen looks cute and relaxing.  I am thinking I will love the game!

Glad you found what you needed for Charcolt!  I have been busy and didn't get time to check.

I'll see what I can find for series 2 Breakout Beasts!

What code did you have?

He looks great!  I love the eagle heads in the Breakout Beasts line.

I haven't seen the series 2 Crystal Creatures yet either.   Hopefully soon!

I've watched a few videos on YouTube and the game looks like it will be adorable.  :)

Is it a relaxing game?  The music (if it was from the game in the videos) sounds calming.

I'm looking forward to trying Animal Crossing for the first time!

It's good for playing at night to fall asleep! Not in a bad way obviously, but yes, it's very calming!

Sounds perfect!

Definitely interested.   I do wish you could play as an animal character instead of human though.

I'll see what I can find on those codes!  Usually I find them in YouTube videos.

PS - Looks like series 3 hase numbers like 71TC ?  At least that is what I am finding.

Edited to add:

These images are NOT mine, I found them online.  The codes match the ones I have seen in YouTube opening videos.

Series 4 BB codes:

Hope this helps!

I meant to mention that I do generally prefer the more elegant sculpts on the CC's.  I just wanted at least a few of the BB's as well.  The eagle head is really nice!  I am looking for an old series 2 BB, but I am probably going to have to eBay him. (And pay double price.)

So, to someone who loves Pokemon and Mario (and I loved Spyro back in the day!) would you recommend this game?

Any particular reviews I should read?

I'm considering this and/or Breath of the Wild to expand my games.  (As literally I only have Pokemon Shield right now for my Switch Lite.)

I'd love to know more!  <3
