I don't like horses and it isn't the horses fault, it's mine. When I was a child (think 4ish), we use to go to a church that had a horse pasture behind it. The nursery worker was asleep, so I slipped out to the horse pasture, went in... got kicked, broke my elbow. Wasn't the horses fault, but it scarred me. I keep my distance.

Girl, I feel you. I adopted an Australian cattle dog in January who is also overweight (not by THAT much though). I'm in a FB group for the breed and everyone else's dogs are running around like loons, lean and slick and here I am, with my dog who looks like an uncooked sausage roll when she's laying down.
We switched her to a food with pumpkin in it, 2 cups a day, but since she doesn't like to move much (she's supposedly 5 years old) the weight isn't coming off too quickly. But, she's happy with her life, so I'm happy with her.
Green beans are a great snack! Carrots too, but Butters turns her nose up at them. She's spoiled.

Thanks everyone!! I still get in a funk sometimes, but my son is pretty compassionate, so he snuggles me or tells me a joke or tells me how pretty I look, normally whenever I just wake up with raccoon eyes and the worst morning breath ever. And if Jordie suspects that I'm down, the next time he sees me, he'll have tea and caramels for me. (He spoils me WAY too much!) I know a lot of you remember me from my topics in WYP about my ex and my baby. I know I've been very quiet in the past few months, so I thought I'd give everyone an update! I'm still dealing with the aftermath of my last problem, but I'm coping very well. Back in December, I actually ran across my ex in a public place and did myself proud by looking past him and kept walking. (And then had a panic attack once I was by myself and scared my son to death.) My son still misses him and I wish I could help him with that. He's also now in therapy to talk about it and to learn how to cope with him just leaving like he did. I do have two giant updates for you guys! 1. Also in December, I happened to meet a guy. So far, he's been AMAZING. I've never met a guy like him before. He's the exact opposite of anyone I've ever dated. (And that is a good thing!) He's so supportive and understanding. And he makes a huge effort to be there for us. Let me introduce y'all to Jordie! visitors can't see pics , please register or login2. I have one more person to introduce to y'all! In January, I rescued a 5 year old Australian cattle dog! I'm happier than I've been in the past 8 years. It's fantastic!
