Can't say it bothers me anymore. I love my G1s and the symbols on both sides, but having it on just the one side doesn't really bug me anymore.

I think previously my main annoyance was having to face a pony a certain way because it had the symbol on just one side. But now I'm not fussed, I'm too tired to let small details bug me anymore.

The Dollhouse / Re: Your own quirks when you buy dolls
« on: May 17, 2014, 05:19:13 AM »
My quirk is that I'm a random collector lol, there is a shop we go to that sells second hand comics, dvds, books action figures etc (and some brand new things like Simpsons Monopoly, star wars monopoly type games). Its a bit like a cross between the comic store in Big Bang Theory and a charity shop  :) I loves it.

I get any Wonder Woman figures there and have added Lara Croft to that. Some comics and random bits and bobs. It's great to get stuff from a random shop (they have dr who figures too but I refuse to start another collection).

I get my zelfs (don't have many) from the shop, my blind bags mostly from the shop.

My She Ra dolls are ebay/amazon and my MH and EAH are either Argos in person, TRU online or ebay/amazon online.

And of course I browse charity shops :) sometimes I start new collections by accident because I just think 'ooooooh i want that its awesome' and then i have three lol

The Dollhouse / Anybody selling darah herron she-ra action figures?
« on: May 15, 2014, 01:44:03 PM »
I was going to put UK only but to hell with it. Does anyone by any chance have some of the Darah Herron She Ra action figures for sale, you know the ones beefy looking things with squashy faces mostly all with the same facial expression :)

I'm not making them sound good lol but they are what i'm looking for, I don't mind grubby ones as long as they have intact bodies and not a lot of hair loss. I would also like good condition ones too. Can't afford MOC/MOB. But am casting my net out there to add to my tiny collection of three. Also interested in the animals ie Swiftwind.

Many thanks to anyone who replies

I Madeline Hatter, Apple White, Cerise Hood, Cupid and Blondie signature dolls.

I got Blondie because she looks like Alice in Wonderland (to me) and I love Cupid, I prefer her EAH version to the MH version to be honest. I think she looks better but that's just me, her accessories are certainly better.

I plan on getting Raven at some point but am more focused on MH at the moment (two new I Love Fashion dolls to get)

I often stab myself with needles when i'm rehairing...I might be making an easter pony for my goddaughter but haven't done any rehairing since before Christmas. Might just buy and easter egg in case it becomes a disaster.

:bunny: here's a bunny to cheer you up :)

Pony Corral / Re: Year of the Horse character discussion; Wind Whistler
« on: January 06, 2014, 10:40:56 PM »
I was fond of her, I remember her most from MLP the Movie, Mish mash Melee and the Golden Horseshoes. I never had her in my childhood collection, when I tried to re-enact scenes with her in I would pretend Braided Beauty was Wind Whistler.

She was slightly pretentious, but I didn't mind so much, it was interesting to have polar opposites of each other with ponies like WW and Fizzy, as well as Shady and Gusty.

I have her in my collection now (somewhere in a box) I'm hoping to get an upgrade sometime for one that has pink hair instead of faded white

I do it all the time  I shouldn't really and I have to reign it in a bit this year because we are saving. I've bought three ponies this month from Tic Tac Toe's ebay sales, I got Princess Star Gleamer, Princess Glittering Gem and BnG Pretty Vision.

When I bought my Mimic she was an impulse, I'd dreamed about her all week though technically I dream about many ponies I want ha. And when I realized I'd been paid extra I was like 'ok I'm bidding on Mimic' she's a rehair and came from America and cost me £54 with delivery. But I wouldn't change her for anything. When she got here I took one look and thought I have a Mimic.

Most of the time we are all pretty good at keeping to bugets and set 'pony spends' but sometimes a lot/auction comes along that you just can't help bidding on or just chance bid on.

Perhaps yo could show your parents the site, particularly this thread so they can see how helpful and supportive everyone is.

No matter what age you are there is always support and encouragement to be found on the arena.

Good luck building the collection

I have at least one G3 that has molded on balloons. Several ponyvilles, a couple of blind bags, a brushable and two fashion styles (one with a black balloon) oh and a EG on the way

I've heard people complain of quality, I vaguely remember someone who wanted to buy a Fluttershy and everyone they saw looked dirty inside the box and you could see scratches on the body. I guess quality control isn't important to Hasbro anymore.

I'll most likely only be buying the deluxe dolls anyway. And yeh the whole painted on thing reminded me of other dolls like little polly pockets and others I've bought in the past where things are painted on. It doesn't look good.

kissthethunder I did question whether I should buy another Draculaura but well I couldn't resist hehehe when she arrives I'll have five of her.

Galactica, If the Trixie has the same articulation as the deluxe dolls I might be swayed in to buying her too.

brittany_rochelle, it has taken me a long time to even consider buying any of the EG dolls, I didn't like them at all from the beginning. I've seen some nice photos though  :)

I did see some in TRU in the summer but just the basic ones and I don't really like the painted on tops of the basics. Or the lack of movability. Because I'm a collector of MH I like my dolls to have some articulation because I like to pose them. I knew if I ever got an EG doll it would be a Pinkie Pie though

Pony Corral / Re: SO, I made some clothes for my EQG (warning, pic heavy)
« on: December 30, 2013, 04:33:44 AM »
I likes them

Perhaps you could paint Celestia's boots with acrylic. A more sophisticated looking colour to match her oufit.

I'd be hopeless at making outfits for dolls that small, heck I can't make outfit for the large baby dolls either hahaha.

Well done for even trying and double well done for succeeding.

Great pic kissthethunder, pinkie somehow always manages to steal the show lol. I'll always love the episode with those little puffball insect things when Pinkie tells everyone they need to get instruments etc to get rid of them but no ones paying attention because they think she's being silly.

 I'm looking forward to her coming, I also have a I Love Shoes Draculaura coming so it's a doll week
