Aww, that's a wonderful idea :inlove: I want a toy of Alphabittle as well. ALL the dad ponies! (well I guess AB isn't really a dad, but he's shaped like one :P)

I made a drawing (non-pony) yesterday, and... I'm still happy with it! It even has a background, and... I'm still happy with that, too! Sorry, this is a rare occasion for me :P

Oh right, I forgot the kirin had horns! I guess the shape and angle makes it read more like a singular antler to me... now I'd be curious to see a branched horn on a unicorn...

I agree it has to match the rest of the design! I love the sharp, slender horn of the Last Unicorn, but it would look out of place on the otherwise very rounded G1. I'm also a fan of using curved horns for more mystical designs, like Mistmane in FiM :) would've liked to see a toy version of her.

No SO here, but my friends find it endearing. Some of them have even expressed playful envy at my Pokemon collection :P and they support it through gifts. But I think it helps that I have the type of personality where I'm more likely to be perceived as innocently childish at worst, which is a million times better than being called a creep!

It's my cat's 19th birthday today! :lovey:

She got lots of treats, both crunchy and soup style. Lots of love and I even sang to her :accomplished:
Whaa, 19?! :dropjaw: Congrats! That sounds like a wonderful celebration

I don't know. The Unicorn place makes me conflicted, as I feel like there's a lot more going on there but we're never going to know about it because they already moved past explaining it.

Like Izzy's background as well. Why is she different and why doesn't she have any unicorn friends?
Remember there's a cartoon coming up. I feel like there's a lot of minor stuff like that they didn't explain because they're going to deal with it in the show (or
I hope they do) ^.^

Ah, yes, as a neurodivergent individual I do sometimes find it hard to interpret tone from text communication!  I interpreted that comment as something like "your favorite is wrong" but I guess it was intended otherwise   Sometimes I have trouble in real life social interactions, too, but in real life at least there are other cues i can try to use, like body language, so I'm usually okay especially if it is someone I know well...with strangers is another story...especially if they want eye contact...I can get overwhelmed.  I'm really lucky to have a BFF who is a psychologist   Anyway, the little things at the end of posts like /s for sarcasm and such, like in Wardah's article are super helpful to people like me!  Or when people use the little smiley faces.  I love the faces.  Or even varied punctuation.  I do try to use the smiley faces myself a lot of the time.  Hopefully others find it useful, or at least acceptable and not annoying.

A question I have for people who have seen the whole movie:  Alphabittle seems to be the only pony with a dramatically different body shape compared to the others.  Is that true throughout the cast of the movie?  I've really only seen the song scenes and the trailer, I think.  Is this addressed in any way?  He also has that grayscale color scheme.  I'm just curious if his body being the way it is has any significance.  He intrigues me as a character.
Smileys work great as tone indicators! Case in point:

I think you're right about Alphabittle, the other ponies don't really vary much beyond wing shape and slight differences in facial structure. I doesn't seem to have any significance beyond being a better fit for his character, being the village chief/big tough guy archetype. :)

Oh right, one of Izzy's playsets DID mention her having bug friends, didn't it? :inlove:
I'm looking forward to seeing what the animation for the show is like. I hope it's as cute and pastel-y as that advent calendar!

Conveying irony to people you don't know can always be difficult. Some people struggle with irony in general, or maybe SunPony just wasn't in the right headspace for that type of humor today. But now the misunderstanding has been cleared up, perhaps it would be best to move on? :lookround:

I think something people like this tend to forget is that "x thing is political", despite how it's usually said on the internet, doesn't necessarily mean "x thing is controversial" or "x thing is bad for kids". Did you enjoy Rescue at Midnight Castle? Congratulations, you've just endorsed a political message against slavery ;)

So is the new movie political? Well, Sunny covers up xenophobic propaganda with propaganda of her own, and she interrupts a press conference by those who seek to profit from systemic oppression. Her work literally helps change the law (it's not just about friendship, being a unicorn was a crime punishable by imprisonment). That's absolutely political  Though I think the only people who would have a problem with that are those who happen to see themselves in the villains.

SpacePinto, why did you remove your drawing? It was such a fun take on the prompt. Oh well

So much pretty art in this thread!! I love your style, SweetNightmare. I've been too busy working on a fancomic for a DA group to participate here, but it's so much fun looking at everyone else's entries :frolic:

I happened to find the Golden Oak Library in a thrift store recently, and I'm so in love with it!! The detail is so much nicer than the "proper" G4 playsets, and like you said, it's perfect for limited-space collections :inlove: I'd love to have the rest someday for a full display.

Although... If I was a child, I would've HATED it. How can you play with half a library? TOTAL immersion breaker!

Best of luck to you Mewtwofan! I hope you get in and have lots of fun :accomplished:

I got a Luxray plush as a late birthday present! Well, I won one on eBay. I had to ask the seller if they would ship to Norway, they said sure, but didn't have an exact price estimate. Well... The total ended up being much more than the item was worth once I DID get the shipping cost. But my mom agreed to pay for it as a late bday gift, so I guess it's all good! Eee, I've wanted this plush for so long! :frolic:
