Tisanes are my current favourite, and my tippy-top fave is Stash Wild Raspberry Hibiscus. It definitely doesn't taste like hot water - very zippy, in fact. They do a great Salted Caramel Mate, and a really pleasant Liquorice Spice, too. Viva bolder tastes!
(If you like, pm me, and I'll send you a variety of tisanes and teas - I'm always happy to enable fellow tea drinkers! ) 19

I love this name for her! Now if only she smelled like apples and cream instead of memories of basement storage (sounds like a President's Choice reject air freshener). Poor baby! 21

So I won an auction on eBay for (according to the listing) Mommy Apple Delight, DnP Swinger, Slugger, Sugarberry, Sherbet, and a mystery couple others. At ten bucks, I wasn't overly picky. But imagine my surprise when I opened the parcel and found...
visitors can't see pics , please register or login Check out Sweet Pocket! I messaged the seller about the substitutions, and once I got the 'all clear' from them to keep this bunch, I joyfully set about spa treatments! Here are the results. (Sharp-eyed viewers may notice one pony didn't make it to after-spa. BBE Lickety Split has nasty eye rust and a bit of musty funk. She's beyond my meagre skills - but if anyone would like her, please pm me! She's yours for the asking... and maybe postage?) visitors can't see pics , please register or login Baby sister Apple Delight looks a bit cream coloured, but she sure cleaned up well! (She smells a bit musty, and is the only other one in the lot that didn't smell pony-y, but she's clean as a whistle inside... maybe just another wash and some airing out?) visitors can't see pics , please register or login Sugarberry looks so pretty! A bit of frizz at the tip of the tail and some pindot/inground dirt on her hooves and ears, but otherwise lovely. visitors can't see pics , please register or login Twinkler was a surprise in the lot! She's very cute, and her tinsel isn't overly crazy, either. visitors can't see pics , please register or login I'm in love! Look at this beauty! This isn't a set I've actively been collecting, but based on Sherbet here, I may have to change that...! visitors can't see pics , please register or login Slugger!!! He's in such lovely shape, still plenty pliable, too. I think I'm only missing Quarterback now, and I'll have all the North American Big Brothers... visitors can't see pics , please register or login And finally, my unexpected pink-haired diva herself, Sweet Pocket! I can't believe how awesome she looks...! The camera just doesn't do that fading-pink justice. So pretty! And bee pony!!! Thanks for sharing in my happiness! (And especial thanks to all the helpful pony peeps on TCB who helped me navigate a peculiar situation with grace. ) 22

I'll offer my help!
Just outside of Montréal, Québec, Canada. Don't have a car, so picking stuff up from homes can be a bit of a bother - sorry - but I'm happy to either have stuff delivered then redirect, or to do the legwork to local shops on your behalf. There's a TRU just close, so if anyone's looking for NA exclusives, I got you! 23

(Can't wait to post pics of the new ponies! ) 25

Happy ending!
So I heard back from the seller - she said yeah, she mixed up the horses, but I got the better ones, she thinks, and to enjoy. Spa time imminent! Now I just don't know what kind of feedback to leave - she was kinda nice, everything came fast and in my favour, so...? 26

Thanks, all, for the great answers! I'll put off their spa day till I've heard back from the seller. Though I may be tempted to start in on Sweet Pocket... she's so darned pretty and honeybees are totally one of my favourite things!

Hey, pony peeps!
So I won an auction for seven G1 ponies. It was a smidge dodgy looking - the seller listed five by name, mentioned another with ice cream cones, and only provided photos for two. It was only ten bucks, though, so w/e. I got the ponies today, and here's my conundrum. The two ponies pictured aren't in the lot. I did get seven G1s (three were indeed in the list, plus the ice cream pony, BBE Lickety Split), one of the replacements is Twinkler, one's a baby sister Apple Delight, and one is a brilliant Sweet Pocket (complete with charm, string, and super pink hair!). I'm not displeased by this, like at all - considering there's also a Slugger in amazing (if grubby, but that's totally cleanable) shape in there, I got one heck of a sweet deal - but I'm curious as to the why of it all. Should I begin my spa treatments for these lovelies? Or can the seller turn round and say they sent me the wrong ponies and request I return them? I honestly have never had this question arise before, and would appreciate any insight. Thanks! 29

Pony Brag Arena / Re: Mini brag... literally!« on: August 18, 2016, 07:13:40 PM »Oh they're so cute! Are they hard to find? I want some! Idk if they're very difficult to find...? I see a few auctions now & then for them, mostly from the UK, and sellers here have them from time to time. They are ridiculously cute, though (and they have ridiculously cute teeny combs, too). |
