I found both variants of Sparkler! My Target sold through 2 sets with the first Sparkler and when they put out the 3rd set it was the one with the striped mane/no red in tail.

I think I'd personally just leave it somewhere for a fortnight or so. I'd be nervous about altering the scent/glitter with anything.

I have no proper space to display that isn't blasted by sunlight (I only have east and west windows, meaning bright early sunlight or blasting bright afternoon sun), so even though the plants LOVE both, plastic doesn't do so well. I ended up putting the ponies in the storage at the foot end of the bed and honestly.... not a bad choice. You don't see them right away, but I've become a big fan of it. So I guess the answer is, thanks to COVID, I spend quite a bit of time in here working on my laptop! I have a few with hair that was pink which then faded into a yellowish white colour, but the only one I have with white hair still has decently bright white hair. I wonder how much of a difference the country a pony comes from has on the stability of the hair colour over the years.

I have the older plain silver Tinkerbell one but I bought it off of eBay. I think that'd be your best bet aside from when they're available on the Disney online shop. eBay will have photos taken by customers so you could use that as a reference for more real photos of what they'll look like.
