I have a couple of Dream Beauties I would definitely call baity. I have Circle Dancer who has yellowed quite a bit, Fairflyer who had lost one medallion, and Mayfair who is scraped up and chewed on.  Circle Dancer and Fairflyer have tightly braided manes and tails and and Mayfair is chewed on.

How much would they be worth?

Mondays.
Mr. Chaos is off work that day and we go to a local bar to drink plain iced tea and play trivia.

Customs / Doll hair. Any prep needed before I rehair?
« on: May 08, 2014, 08:33:24 PM »
Cross posted at Monster High Arena

I'm beginning to do my first rehair. I have my doll prepped. Head taken off and all hair and glue removed.
What I need to know is there anything special I need to do to the hair before I start?  I haven't yet cut it to size, as I got two 38' hanks of saran hair from Dollyhair. I'll be using the knot method.

@BlueChaos - Oh my gosh she is so beautiful! I've not seen a merry go round fakie like that before, she looks kind of like a stolen mold pony to me? Any marking on her? She is divine :lovey:

Not a one. I did get her in a large sack of ponies when I found an Italian Star Stable at a consignment shop. I think she's a European fakie.

Ew, yucky!

Spoiler
I'll guess 6 hours and 32 minutes

Try pulling the hand out and not bending the peg. The pegs for the Create a Monster dolls are thicker than the regular Monster High dolls, but can  still break. If you put the doll on it's back and put the arm up, pull the hand straight up. This should do the trick.

Hi! I'm a mod over at Monster High Arena, and I'd be glad to help you out with this. The vampire and sea monster Create a Monster dolls usually sell for $8 - $10 per doll if they have all of their parts.

If you are unsure about selling them yet, I say put them together and get a feel of them, see if you like them. If you do, congrats and come see us over at Monster High Arena. If you don't, just sell them to someone who does like them, or they even make a nice gift to a friend who likes dolls. Don't feel bad if you find you don't care for them, they're not everyone's cup of tea.

As for the hand stuck in the upper arm: The Create a Monster dolls are made to come apart to mix and match, so you should have no problem getting it out. Unless the previous owner tried using glue to hold it together that is.

Pony Corral / Cleaning an Applause plush pony
« on: October 18, 2013, 09:45:55 AM »
I found a Cotton Candy Applause plush at a yard sale. Her hair is dry, and she smells like garage/basement. How should I go about cleaning her?

Please note that I am allergic to Febreeze.
