I agree with the feeling of heaviness after weight lifting. I'm not a fan, but it always makes me feel accomplished too, and usually more flexible the next day. And yay, another DDR fan! :D I fell in love with it when I was younger, but just never had time to play it. You are 100% right about how great of a work out it is, and being a video game makes it feel less like a work out and more fun.

This week, I'll try not to fall in to any COMBO breakers XD

CHALLENGE!! I am throwing in a challenge! You can gain FIVE VOTES!

Here is the challenge. You have to so something for 7 days in a row. It can be anything.

o_o took the challenge, and did it! I walked an average of 3.5miles each day. >_<; Worked through my anxiety and just did it... through terrible humid weather. I think it's such a good activity but I don't think I can do it on weekdays due to family. :<

:') The bummer part of it is that pokemon go didn't work 3-4 days during those walks. All those eggs I could of hatched, lol!

Congrats! That is a really impressive total each day, especially in this heat! And I fully agree about Pokemon Go. I've been using it to motivate my own walking as well, and those days where it would hardly work was hard lol. Hopefully you caught some awesome things when it was working though.

My update for the week: I managed to finish my own challenge this week too! I wanted to do work on jewelry/etsy projects and get at least a step of the process done each day. This also helped motivate and help me focus on the small backlog of projects I had accumulated and had scattered around in various states of 'done' lol. I managed to get through my entire backlog, and was able to start on some new shop pieces, so I'm really going to try to carry this motivation in to the coming week as well (shared the first two pieces I finished earlier this week, but here is everything I was able to get done all together)

I also did mildly well with motivating myself to exercise. The heat in our area is killing me, I've never dealt well with it, so I didn't get to go out for any super long walks at any point like I wanted, but I broke out the DDR Mario Mix my mom got me for christmas last year (such a throw back, I love it!) and played for a few hours on Wednesday and Thursday , and did about a half hour of weight lifting on Tuesday and Thursday. Starting this Monday I'm going to try to get on an every day schedule where I do some cardio workout on one day, and weight lifting on the other, with Saturday being a rest day.

Yesterday was a pretty good start to my challenge. I finished up a pendant that had been sitting on my work desk for a few weeks, and then this morning for day two I sat down and tackled a keychain that had been sitting there for just as long that I wasn't sure how best to make. Both pieces were requests from a friend of mine, so I figured that I should start my challenge by working through my small backlog of items before I started working on new items to add to my etsy store. And just for fun, some pictures!

I also got out and walked yesterday for about an hour, though it was too hot and humid to go any longer than that. I shouldn't have gone out mid day though because I ended up getting way to over heated and felt sick the rest of the day. Upside, I felt bad enough that dinner was super light, and I had no want to snack at all XD Silver lining? I'm feeling back to normal this morning though, and I plan to put more focus on exercise I can do in the house through the day, and then go out to walk once it gets cooler in the evening.

@Raspberry Brulee- Healthy cooking can be so much fun, and if you find the right recipes boring is not an issue. Pulled turkey is one of my favorite dishes to make, just because it is really lean and filling, and you can turn it in to a million other things (like soups, sandwiches, stuffed vegetables, etc.) so the flavor profile doesn't get boring. Also congrats on running regularly! I'm sure by the end healthy pony you'll be more than ready to sign up for a 10k :D

@banditpony - Sorry to hear that things aren't going well at the moment *many hugs* Hopefully starting a new routine will help shake off some of the bad and replace it with good!

@Artemesia Floc - I hope that your job hunting is going well. Applying for a job has always freaked me out and can be really stressful, but Crowning_Glory13's idea of repeating positive things about yourself before hand is a super great idea! And if it is still stressful, read your positive notes about yourself out loud. Sometimes hearing someones voice, even if it is just your own, can really help decrease negative feelings.

I got a question. How does everyone feel about Pokemon hunting in cemeteries?

Some people on another message board were saying that anybody playing Go needs to stay out of cemeteries. If the cemetery has a sign up asking people not to play on their grounds, I'll respect that. But I don't see the harm it walking around a cemetery (during the day). There's one about 7 or 8 blocks from my house. I just drove through there after work. It has about a dozen PokeStops and a gym.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. We live just a few blocks from our local cemetery, and even before Pokemon Go came out my mom and I would take our evening walks through there instead of just around town. Many people in my local area use it as a place to walk. I think that so long as Go players are respectful and don't vandalize anything, then it shouldn't be a problem. I would say if there was an active funeral going on to stay out and to return later though.

My challenge: I am going to get work done on at least one piece of jewelry a day for my etsy store for the week (I'm not aiming to get a piece completely done in a day, it's just not possible, but at least get through one stage of the work a day. So either prep-work, cutting, cleaning, painting, or wrapping).

Had a pretty rough off week this week. Things started decent, but then I had to house-sit for my parents four days in a row while they had roof work done, so I didn't get anything for my self accomplished, and was snacking way more frequently because a) i was bored to tears and didn't even realize I was doing it, and b) they have snack food in their kitchen lol. Couple that with some news regarding family, and these last two days I haven't hardly even gotten out of bed :/ I'm going to aim for Saturday to be a 'refresh' day, and see if I can't get back on track by Monday. I'll also start my challenge on Monday, so I can set out at the start of the week.

On Serebii they mention a shiny Mewtwo that you can get a serial code as a "Play! Pokémon Participation Gift" Anyone know how to do this? xD Or if anyone did get one that theyre willing to part with? Im trying to get a couple for me and some friends. I have no idea what this feature is though lol.

If I understood it right, you had to go participate in an official Video game event before July 10th. By participating, it meant that you would be sent a code sometime... this month? (Don't quote me on that part, I can't remember).

Edit: I found the article on the main Pokemon site:  http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/a-special-mewtwo-for-play-pokemon-video-game-participants/

Ooo, I love this idea! The FIRST time you went on a Pokemon journey, who was your very first starter Pokemon?

Blue was the first game I ever played, and even though I loved Charizard, I went with Squirtle because I expected EVERYONE to start with Charmander, lol. And blue is also my favorite color, and Squirtle was blue in the show, so you know, I had a theme going. Squirtle stayed on my team through the whole game and was the first Pokemon that I got to reach level 100 (I was so excited when it happened, and it was also how I learned that 100 was the max level). When I started up Pokemon Go, I actually went with Squirtle as my starter as a way to come full circle :D

I've managed to get out and walk for anywhere between a half hour and an hour and a half every day since Thursday, which is a huge improvement for me. I'm thinking about taking today off from any long walks, just to give my legs a day to recover, but if I do I plan to focus on strengthening my arms with weight lifting. Oh, and yesterday I spent the day with my mom running some errands and we ended up at one of those frozen yogurt places. I managed to pass on the yogurt/ice cream and got just a little sorbet instead, which I -think- was the better option lol (it was too hot to completely say no to everything XD )

@Raspberry Brulee - I hope that you had a good time at the fair! That is one heck of a drive to make though, I'm sure. I know that snacks and meals when on the road can be hard to manage, but it sounds like you had no problem :D Also congrats on finding a running buddy. It is so much nicer to go out for runs and walks when you have someone with you.

@Artemesia Floc - Sorry to hear you feeling out of it *many hugs* I read this online somewhere once, but when you are feeling down or finding it hard to get motivated, don't focus on a list of things to do, like 'I need to get up and go make lunch and then wash the dishes' because it can be super overwhelming. Instead, kick the 'need' out of the way and focus just on the first step ('I'm going to get up'). Then start thinking about the next step, but only the very next step. (I hope I explained that well) I know for me, it helps get me going because it feels like I'm accomplishing way more because I'm meeting more tiny goals along the way.

@Kiwi - I have done that very thing before, where I get to the end of a day and look at my list of things to do and go 'maaayybe I over planned' lol. It sounds like you got a lot done though for your store. And pony rooms are so funny that way! I can work in my own all day, organizing and shuffling things around as I decide on how I want to set things up and store things, and like clock work the end of the first day looks like I haven't done anything at all lol. But when I get everything just the way I want it, it always comes out looking great, so I'm sure that once you've finished it will look amazing :D

Question; is anyone playing this on a tablet and if so, what type/brand? Fiancé doesn't have a phone that can play it right now, and he's really bummed, so I was thinking of running out to get a cheap tablet for him as a surprise, but I would rather know it was a playable thing first lol

Kitumi - Pokemon tournament is cool!!! You got your weight down so all you can do is go down as you are working towards it. I have won beauty pageants at 180lbs so you look amazing now and you will continue to do so:)

Thanks :) My goal weight, outside of healthy pony, is actually 180. The last time I had my weight checked was about five months ago at a doctors check up, so it was really a positive lift when I checked it myself to see that just the few changes I had made to my life style between then and now had begun to help. In the long run, I think it is going to make this easier to stick with.

My room is cleaning up very nicely! I have so much more space and I've decided to pack away all the small things and replace them with large single objects. My Collectors Mirrors Edge figure is standing beautifully on my desk right now. <3 I really need to measure my weight soon but I'm kinda nervous, one good thing though is that because my wisdom teeth got removed, I can't eat cookies. x3 But overal I'm already eating way less then before so thats nice. :)

With Pokémon Go coming out soon here (I hope) I have also time to go out in the weekend with by BF to start collecting.
Ooo, I love cleaning up spaces :D It is always such a great feeling to get an area organized and clean, and in my experience it's a feeling that lasts because every time you see it you are reminded of all the work you accomplished. I do hope that your wisdom teeth removal went smoothly and is healing nicely. I remember when I had mine out. Not the worst time, but I could think of better things I rather have done! lol

I'm finding the most maddening bug that I've run in to is that I can't capture gyms!!!  :pout: Half the time, I go up to battle them and I just get kicked right back out as soon as the battle starts, and the other half of the time I get to battle but I get the opponents Pokemon down to 1hp and everything just.... stops. I can keep on attacking, and the battle timer keeps going, but the defending Pokemon just stands there and stares at me. It's super frustrating because a) it's a main aspect of the game, and I should have taken a few gyms yesterday a couple of times over, and b) I can tell that there are people who can take gyms no problem because from my house I can see three and they are constantly changing colors (to colors that are not mine, lol)

Living in a small town, I'm really surprised at how many pokestops and gyms are near by. From my house there are four separate gyms that are within easy travel distance, and a good handful of pokestops.

I had nothing to do this morning so I went back out walking with a fully charged phone. I ended up walking for two solid hours and I didn't even realize it!! I only stopped to check what time it was when my phone alerted me to my dying battery XD I live in a really small town but there are a tons of pokestops and gyms, which already have other players in them. I was really surprised.

I've reached the entire week without pop week. I'm even got myself drinking water at restaurants. I'm so proud of myself.

Congrats! :D Staying away from pop is hard, but so worth it in the end.

I managed to completely stay away from snacking yesterday, and took an hour and a half walk last night (Pokemon fan here; I have a feeling the new Pokemon Go is going to be VERY helpful in my 'be more active' goals' lol.)

I wasn't able to wait until this morning to play Pokemon Go, so I drug my fiance out and we ended up walking around town for an hour and a half before my phone died XD I caught a lot of stuff, and though there are some bugs and flaws, I couldn't stop squee-ing about how cool it is. I'm afraid I'll get bored of it quickly, but right now, this is pretty much the closest thing that we are likely ever going to get involving 'real' Pokemon, and my seven year old self would be frothing at the mouth over the whole thing lol
