I would totally want a unique/rare G1! Perhaps not a MOC for myself, simply because I couldn't have a MOC in my house without feeling bad that its in a plastic prison, hah.

Off Topic / Re: Fidget Spinners?« on: May 07, 2017, 07:30:41 PM »Personally I think these are some of the dumbest things ever invented. It does nothing but spin in a circle...yay? In two months you will find millions of these in the trash. For a lot of kids, yeah. But, it does certainly have a purpose for people on the autism spectrum or have something like ADHD. Like Lhianneth says, the repetitive motion is good for relaxing/focusing. For my small hands spinners wouldn't be effective, but the motion certainly would for my ADHD. (I would also likely have used it privately or under a desk, but I am also an adult compared to the teenage demographic that seem to be attached to them right now) But yeah Ponyfan. You can mimic this sort of thing with a lot of stuff, a fidget cube being one option. I'd like one myself, just can't justify the cost right now. I actually use the legs of my LEGO Batgirl minifig keychain when I'm out, since the legs and arms move, I just move the legs up and down if I'm feeling anxious or when I'm fidgety in the car or in a store. 19

I have ADHD so I can see the appeal of them, that said... a lot of teenagers at my church have them and they are SUPER distracting how they use them (and show them off). I would much prefer a fidget cube, with like the clicking/pushing buttons but that's how my brain likes to relax.
I know in the US you can "easily" find them at 7-Elevens. I use the quotations because it depends on the demand in the area, but apparently they are super abundant around me. 20

Ohhh. I have never seen/heard of her before. She's super pretty and I'd love to have her.

....oh how I wish I had some extra cash lying around! These are too dang precious, you're doing such a good job!! Seriously these are so unique but also just, you look at them and can tell that MLP is the inspiration. I especially love that Bow Tie you did, the stego pose you did works so well to mimic the shy pose she has (though I might have a bias because I really love Bow Tie lol).

I would love to have a version of her someday. I love me rainbow ponies. And I especially love shy pose ponies.

Pony Corral / Re: What's your favorite pose? pony in that pose n why?« on: May 03, 2017, 05:34:02 PM »
Bow Tie, Surprise, and Dancing Butterflies for shy poses, hands down. I also absolutely love the Posey, Gingerbread and poses. There's probably more I like but my brain is a tad frazzled right now, lol.

The Dollhouse / Re: What kind of doll collector are you?« on: May 03, 2017, 03:44:25 PM »
I pretty much had started and stayed in the MH camp (...stares at post count from many a MH discussion...), with a fairly hefty (for me) collection of dolls. Pretty much if I liked the character/doll, I got it. (I got to have at least 20, perhaps a bit more) but very slowly fell out of that (and kind EAH after the like three dolls I got) when the quality (more jointless dolls, lack of stands, QC in general) started to slip, though a few of the MH reboot dolls do catch my eye.
A friend of mine gave me a little Hujoo BJD that she got for free when she got her last BJD so I am rather interested in a few of them myself now.. buuuuuuut without a car/jobs it has kept me from getting sucked into that right now (probably to my husband's relief, he gets creeped out by them xD). It's a shame. I like taking pictures of articulated dolls and I feel like I'd get a lot of use out of another BJD. 25
Pony Corral / Re: 2017 MLP hallmark ornament!« on: April 30, 2017, 09:43:36 PM »
Ahhhhh!!! I might have to convince my husband to get her for me. I can just bribe him with a Star Wars ornament for himself.. >_>;
Her eye does look off. But that might be the combination of it being a promo shot on a white background (or had the background cut out), on a bright/white site, of a white pony (my eyes are hurting after being on that site...) 26
Pony Corral / Re: G1 retro beach bag at Walmart« on: April 29, 2017, 08:09:58 PM »
...if I end up at my local supercenter tomorrow I must look. I can't grab one now, but at least I can know if they carry them. I don't care if it's a beach bag. I would totally use this all the time, haha.

Oh. I wish I knew where mine was (and if it is where I think it is, not nasty) to show some stuff.. I enjoyed messing around with it. Just due to ADHD/work/lack of money I never really kept up with it because my ideas were more ambitious than my wallet xD.
Though I have one picture from my instagram that I really liked, I had one that was even cooler but.. back to the point of not knowing where my journal is, and if I found it it likely got wrecked in a way I wouldn't wanna touch it lol.. visitors can't see pics , please register or login 29
Pony Corral / Re: What Would Child You Think Of Your Current Collection?« on: April 21, 2017, 11:39:23 PM »
Child me would likely look around, be very confused and then make a b-line for my husband's SH Figuarts collection because it's mostly Super Sentai/Kamen Rider (so, to child me this means POWER RANGERSSSSSS).
Because this was the child that popped off Barbie doll heads off on a fence.... 30
Off Topic / Re: Have you gotten your unicorn frappucino from Starbucks yet?« on: April 21, 2017, 11:29:50 PM »
I wanted to get one, and a friend of mine was gonna get my husband and I one Thursday but our local Starbucks was sold out :<
And without any money, or a car, and being with some friends all weekend there won't be another opportunity to get one, sadly. |
