I've got tons of these! :3 Well not tons, but like 15-20? They're all lined up on my shelf with my other ponies.  I think they're really cute.

I had a HUGE collection when I was younger. I started collecting just prior to when the movie came out (I was 12 at the time) and amassed a huge amount of stuff from allowances, birthdays, christmas, etc. I had a ton of figures and plastic toys. When I was 16, I still kept my collection, but most of it was stored safely in the attic. My niece (who was about 8 at the time) decided to take them from the attic and play with them in the neighbor's tub. Some were even MIP. ;__; I was so angry, I couldn't even retrieve them all. I don't know what happened to all of my posters. When I was 12 and 13, every inch of my wall was covered in TLK posters. Aside from the original Mattel plushies (and a few Disney store), and a few random things here and there that I've collected from the last two dvd releases, I just haven't had the heart to buy everything again. I still do have my card collection though! (1st and 2nd releases and the AMC movie cards) I've been considering buying some of the rarer cards that I missed from those. Though whenever I see something new with Lion King on it, you can bet I buy it!  I was happy to see that the new toys were at TRU too, I only thought they were at Walmart. So now I can get the few I missed. :3

I've found many of them open, though usually the pony is still inside. By that point, I'd already completed my wave 1 set, and was buying extras to make jewelry out of... so... I did peek at the opened ones. >_> But it is very annoying.  I've only seen stolen ones a couple of times. But then again, I work at a dollar store, and people steal like... half a pack of batteries or eat a few pieces of candy out of a package. *eyeroll* People never cease to amaze me.

I wish I hadn't been little with no disposable income in the 80's... so I could stock up on G1s! But that would also mean that I'd be like 50-60 now. D: So maybe not!
G2s would've been great. Though I was a raging teeniebopper back then and I purposefully avoided the toy aisle and spent all my extra money on clothes and accessories. So I didn't even know they existed until I started collecting last year. o_o
I also wish I would've bought a few G3s while they were around. I know they're easy to come by now, and cheap MIB, but I hate opening anything MIB when it's not produced anymore. But since MIB G3s are so cheap, I really only want to buy those and get them loose in thrift stores. ARRG first world problems. lol

Thank you! When I have some time, I want to do a full pony picture in MS paint using crosshatching for shading with my mouse. But I had to rush through it today since I didn't have much time.

Yeah, mine has some very faint highlighter marks on her horn and side, barely noticable, but there. She was $80.

Yeah, those are horribly overpriced, unfortunately. ;_; I'm not really a fan of how the ears look either. I've made my own for cosplay by using model magic and paper clay. They ended up looking pretty nice!

Is this the first time Hasbro has used the "I want a pony" - "meme" actually worded on merch with MLP? I guess perhaps it's the underlying notion with MLP, but I've never seen it actual "said".
*recalls crying fits as a 5 year old about wanting MLP in the store. "I WANT A PONY! I WANNT A POOOONNYYYYYY!*
