I have her, and I LOVE this set. Whenever I show her to friends, they immediately make her do a split. I curled her hair recently and it looks GREAT. I'm hoping to get the rest of the set one day.

Playing some Minecraft and taking it easy! It's raining out today and I hurt my knee yesterday as I tripped while being the massive klutz that I am. I FINALLY got some organizational drawers for my perler beads, earring making supplies and doll hair so my boyfriend doesn't have to keep dealing with the random beads and bags of nylon hair exploded across our apartment.

Howdy, welcome to the Arena! I'm also a college student collector, so fun to have another one of us here! I also got into collecting through my childhood G3/G4 obsession.

Pony Corral / Restoring Princess Pony Eyelashes
« on: June 16, 2023, 08:04:03 PM »
Hey y'all! I recently acquired a Princess Royal Pink with some botched eyelashes. Any advice on how to reroot/restore these? I don't know if I want to restore them fully back to their original look (they're a little much) however I'd appreciate some general tips on getting the Princess back to her glory days!

Customs / Re: Dyeing ponies with RIT dye - tips and advice?
« on: June 16, 2023, 07:50:22 PM »
Thank y'all! I think I've decided to go with painting as I'm a little worried about storing the dyed ponies (since I move semi-frequently.. college life things) but I appreciate the help :P hopefully I will try the fixative at some point anyway! To add on, does anyone have advice on dyeing hair or do the same rules generally apply?

Customs / Dyeing ponies with RIT dye - tips and advice?
« on: June 16, 2023, 11:51:12 AM »
Hey y'all!
I'm about to make my first two customs (Hanukkah and Passover themed so we can have some funky pony holiday displays in our home) but I'm hoping to dye them with RIT dye to change the color. I'm using the Synthetic DyeMore kind after looking on the MLP Restoration Tips and Tricks page. However, I wanted to ask if I should also buy the ColorStay Dye Fixative. If you think dyeing is a bad idea (or have any tips on maintaining the color of the dye) I'd definitely appreciate it.

Working from home and finishing up a fellowship application! A little dull, but that's usually how it rolls. However, I have extra time to work on some G1 restoration and am going to a klezmer concert tonight.

Hey y'all!
I've been collecting ponies since I was ~10 years old. I'm currently 21 now, so it's been a long time! I often got my G1 ponies from attic cleanouts and yard sales, and probably know the MLP Preservation Project website in and out, lol. I unfortunately the majority of my entire G1 collection in a house fire last year, but I'm looking to start my collection again!  :) happy to meet all of you!
