I finally got My Little Pony's predecessor, My Pretty Pony from 1981 on E-Bay! I'm so happy! And I got it in a good deal too!  visitors can't see pics , please register or login Here's another pic of her with the other generation(I don't have Gen 2 or Gen 3.5 toys) ponies. visitors can't see pics , please register or login And lastly, it got me inspired to make a funny photo comic with Gen 4 ponies(I don't have Fluttershy) visitors can't see pics , please register or login By the way, I want to clean her mane and tail since it's really frizzy and dry. How should I wash it without damaging it?

So G4 was having more problems than before? Dang! I didn't know it was that bad and I wasn't aware of it because I just started collecting the G4 ponies so I'm pretty ignorant about the situation.
Have we have this problem before on the previous generations? Or it's minor compared to this? :\

I would like to know where do I buy those washers and that thing that clamps on the tail at. Do I buy it at Home Depot or art stores or something?
Can you save the rusted washers? If so, how do I clean the rust?
Lastly, my so soft pony needed a good wash. What cleaning supplies should I use? I used to have a tutorial papers from one website years ago but they were gone and the site is also gone as well.

I would love to see Flutter Ponies, Sea Ponies, and Princess Ponies in G4.
It would have been even better if Megan, Molly, Danny, the Bushwoolies, the Moochick, and G1 villains(i.e. Tirac) were made in G4 as well. :3

I've used toothpaste and diluted bleach both to remove tail rust.  I just applied whichever to the rusty area, scrubbed at the hair and metal with a toothbrush, rinsed, and them shampooed and conditioned the hair thoroughly.

That there says to use Oxi Clean and scrub with pipe cleaners. Never tried it myself though; I usually remove the ring and make another tail.

Okay, I've taken my Surprised pony apart to make her into a Fluttershy. I've cleaned her inside and out to get rid all of the rust dot bits inside because it was really bad. Her mane is fine but her tail has rust on it because of the rusty ring. I want to save that tail but how do I clean the rust off the tail without damaging it? visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Long time fan of Gen 1 cartoons and toys alike. I also like the Gen 3 toys while I wasn't too crazy about the cartoon but I won't deny that it has a good animation but it didn't have villains in it and there's not much action going on like in G1. I do like A Very Minty Christmas special and I ended up liking Minty. I semi like FIM and their toys but G1 will always be my number one favorite MLP generation. I do wish that they make the villain toys like Tirac, that would have been awesome!

I think this is an awesome idea, I dont have any info, but I am sure that there are many others who can help you out! But are you sure you want to use Deviantart to house this vast amount of information? I thought the site was for artistic endevourous, and not informational ones.
I'm sure this is going to be a big task, as well as a fun one!! I cant wait to see it finished!!
It won't just contain vast info but lots of pics of G1 - G4 ponies and fanart as well. I was thinking of making a pic that tributes to Bonnie Zachelre for creating the franchise and caused Lauren Faust to make FIM. I got the group thing through, it's at the approval stage right now.

I wanted to make the group to educate the new MLP fans about the previous generations, from toys to shows, etc. So if you guys haven anything about the history of My Little Pony, please share it so I can share it to others. I have the darker one on hand, i think she is the collector edition lemondrop (4 feet stamped) and the other is the one released with the playset (2 feet stamped). Does that make sense?
After reading your comment and looking at two of my Lemondrops, I see it. I didn't know that there's two versions of it, I only know that she comes with a playset(which I don't have) and that's about it. So the brighter one(2 feet stamped) is the playset version, got that part. But what about the darker one(4 feet stamped)? Did that one was just released alone or was it something else?
