Pony Corral / Re: Black marks tricking me!!

I've removed some serious pen marks with acne cream, the 10% benzol peroxide kind. I wrapped the pony in foil, leaving a hole over the pen mark. Then I rubbed on some acne cream & stuck her in the window for a couple of days. I worked like magic, but did take some time.

I found the dress on etsy, I wish I could take credit for it! I can't sew a stitch unfortunately. I love Pyg's hair too, it's so wild, it just explodes everywhere!

So far my biggest splurge was on a French Medley. I just adore her!

I finally finished my first customization, Pygmalion, aka Pyg! I learned a lot about what not to do when customizing Blythe, but I'm happy with how she turned out, considering I'm by no means an artist! She started out as a Simply Mango. Please give her a warm welcome!

The Dollhouse / Re: Taming Blythe hair

It's easy to wash Blythe's hair! Just put a bit of tape over her pull string hole & spring hole to keep any stray water out, and tip her under a cool running faucet. Get a helper if you're hands are not that steady. Rub a little shampoo in the ends of her hair (I use Revlon Wig Shampoo, it's made for synthetic fiber wigs and has no harmful oils or perfumes that can be found in human shampoo). Rinse her hair and while it's still damp, put a little unscented fabric softener in. I put some in a spray bottle & spritz it on. Comb through to condition her hair, then rinse again. Comb through gently, let her air dry and voila! Clean, shiny, soft hair! Remove the tape from her holes when she's dry and you're done!

Knibitz is right, the oils and dirt on your hands build up on your doll over time. A gentle wipe down with a damp cloth will help keep her minty new looking, just don't get your girl's lashes wet or they'll fall right out.

Huge congrats! I'm working on completing my TAF set too. Your girls look so happy to be together!

I have Italy and I love her! Her eye chips are nice, her rooted hair is thick and silky, and she smells like strawberries! I've had no trouble with her eye mech; her only flaw is on one of her eyelids- the paint's rubbed. Other than that I think she's fairly sturdy and quality for the price. Compared to my BJDs and Blythes, she was so cheap! I want to get another one soon to take apart & customize.

Everyone's girls look so sweet! I just ordered a MPG yesterday from Junie Moon, can't wait to get her!

I love looking at all the pics!  I've decided that I need a Blythe for my random doll collection...I'm thinking Simply Peppermint or Simply Guava....or maybe Bohemian Peace.  Can't Decide!

I love Bohemian Peace's hair :). My Sid is a custom SP and her hair is really thick and soft too. SG's hair is really silky and thick. They're all wonderful choices; I'm sure you'll  be happy with any one of those girls! Do you think you'd want to customize her or leave her stock?

I think you ought to pack them away for a while and see if you miss them. Or maybe refreshing their look with a new face up or wig & eyes might make them sparkle again in your eyes. Just don't do anything hasty; even if you could buy the same sculpt again, the market's so bad right now you might have to sell them at a loss.
