I'm an old hand at opening packages because I also collect other toys. If you've ever tried to get into toys now adays it's a hassle more than it's fun. Tools required: Exacto Knife and a good pair of wire cutters - go pro and get some tools people

Ahh! Wrong pony! I thought she was a normal g3!
I suppose that won't quite fit AJ at all. haha
PM'ed you back and yea, she's kinda a monster 'giant' pony. She's more like a actual small dog =) Post Merge: February 25, 2012, 08:23:51 PM*makes grabby hands at giant poneh!* my oh my that is awesome
You can pet her she doesn't bite, she's a refine lady right now, looks like she's going off to tea in her fancy spring dress. I guess I gotta find her a summer outfit now (hehe). Maybe I'll take her to the fair this year...I'll have to get Rarity to work some dress magic for her maybe.

I think it stinks that they are skimping on giving little girls track. I've seen boy train sets have a lot more track that this.
I noticed that Lalaloopsie has a train set that is almost the same size but I don't know if that dollset train comes with track or not. I wonder 'if' the loppsie dolls do have track with they're train, if the track might possibly work together. I also wondered if maybe some other toy train tracks would work with it...maybe like Thomas the train tracks, maybe we could just find another toy set track that would work.

Okay so after success with Christmas dog outfit I found this cute little purple pet dress at Target today. I bought the size Sm/Md, which seems to be somewhere between a small and a medium. At first I thought it wasn't going to fit, the front leg holes are difficult but after a couple tries I managed to get the little dress on the giant pony and it seems to fit perfect. They also have a bright lime green available but since GPP is white I thought the purple would look better on her. Now all she needs is a flower in her hair and maybe I should make her some jewelry =) So here she is in her new Spring dress: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

I like the idea of Pony Wear but the ponies generally look odd/uncomfortable wearing it IMO.
good one!! me too!
Same here, I was not much into how the outfits looked on the ponies. I bought quite a few back in the G1 days but there were only a couple that I actually thought looked good once they were put on the ponies.

To think, the Mountain boys cost about £5.99 when new....
In my case, rather than go back and buy a whole ton of stuff I didn't have, I'd rather go back and make sure I didn't throw out things like my MB pony cards and kept all the bits and pieces that I lost.
My area was really poor for ponies, but I guess that if push came to shove the two things I'd want to bring back from the UK of the past are Princess Pearl and Fiery MIB and Nibbles and Dibbles MIB, just because I wanted them so much as a child...
The other MBs would be tempting, too, but I think I'd rather have what I threw away than a bunch of new stuff otherwise...
The geek in me would also want to take a notebook and pen and make copious lists/take photos of everything that was available where and when to settle a lot of age old questions about Hasbro's distribution...
There were a lot of pamphlets and things that I cut up for the pictures. So like you, I'd go back and tell my younger self to not destroy those things. And yes, I would like to go back with a digital camera and take a picture of the MLP section i the store just to show the difference in what we had in the 80's and what the MLP section looks like now.

I usually pay around $3-5 each depending on the doll. The dolls in the picture look to be in good shape and I see a couple you could probably get more than the $3-5 asking price for. If you are interested in parting with them please feel free to PM me

I like cheesy closeup pictures so I'd like to see everyone post some close up pictures of their ponies. It can be their face, their symbol, they're hair....whatever. I just wanna see some silly closeup photos of ponies and pony+friend and/or ponystuff. I'll start. Since I purchased most of my USA G1 collection new I'd prefer to be dropped somewhere like Greece or some international location that sold ponies I couldn't get my hands on back in the 80's because I didn't know anything about them. I did pretty well on getting the usa ponies back then I was just never aware there was different stuff being sold overseas.
So I'd need a time machine and a passport please.

It's also going to depend on the hair quality. If you check the hair and see how easy it is to brush it might tell you if it's an older doll or a newer one.
For a long time they used Saran hair on the dolls. The only reason I am thinking it's a more up to date is because I think at the end of 2009 or in 2010 they started using a nylon hair that was really hard to brush but they also stopped styling the dolls hair and almost every doll came with the same length, same style hairdo.
So there is a point there that some dolls had hair that tangled really easily but doesn't brush very well. I can't tell by the picture the only way I'd know if I had the doll in front of me in person and I could touch the hair and or compare her to my bratz.
If there was a better closeup of her face without the hair in the way it might be easier to tell. The eyes, lips and makeup can usually give you a better idea of which doll you have. Even though the hair is in the way they eyes do not look like flashback cloe eyes.
I'm at work at the moment so I can't look at my dolls. If I have time when I get home see if I can figure out who this is but I don't buy every bratz so it's probable I will not have this exact one.
