I have some bratz collectors as friends on facebook and I saw a post a while back about them. I also saw a thing on youtube toyfair that showed the dolls. Sorry I don't have the link but I'm thinking if you search youtube for the dolls it might come up.

I think that they are also doing boys to, at least thats what I remember seeing in the youtube video. From the facebook discussions I remember someone said that they were only going to be sold by one store - but I have no clue if that is or isan't true because the person never listed the store they'd be in. I'd think if MGA were doing this much promotion on the doll it'd be at more stores than just one.

When they do come out in stores I hope I'm able to get a few, not only because it's a wonderful idea but also I'd love to buy extras just to use with wigs and redressing.

humm. I will look at my collection of wings when I get home, it's quite possible I have an extra. I actually buy them for Bratz dolls because they fit. If I do have an extra I'll post tonight once I'm home from work.

I once had a lady at a flea market selling ponies insisted that Baby Chuck E Cheese pony was worth more if it was signed...I wasn't aware of what she was talking about and she told me that when you got them from Chuck E Cheese they got signed...I continued to give her the I don't agree face.

I can't see myself paying more for a pony because some employee at Chuck E Cheese signed the baby pony and I would have never gotten mine signed  even if I had purchased the pony back in the 80's from a Chuck E Cheese.

How the heck do you prove it was signed at Chuck E. Cheese anyway?

I'd be glad to help fellow collectors get dolls they can't find, I never know whats available here that isn't available anywhere else. So if any of you are looking for something and can't find it you can always PM me. Glad to help fellow bratz/Pony lovers :) I'd be willing to trade even :) ponies/bratz/etc.

I do have to finish going through and organizing all my extra bits of clothing and accessories. I know I have doubles of clothing due to buying from yard sales and thrift stores. Once I weed out my extras I'd be glad to give anyone a PM who is interested in seeing my extra bits before I put them on ebay. Just let me know and I can make a list of those that are interested.

Yeah but Mattel did not take MGA to court because they had a vaguely similar toy. Mattel had accused MGA of hiring a designer who was accused of designing the Bratz on Mattel's company time.

They have in the past taken other companies and private individuals to court for 'vaguely similar toys'. And I do know the reasons given for taking MGA to court, I was just pointing out that they had already done it.

I am not some kind of blind follower of one company or another.

Wasn't accusing you of being that so not sure if you thought I was?

Yes, that is the dress I was meaning, M!ndy :)
It is stunning!  Does your mother make them to sell?

She probably would if she had the time. We both work full time at our family business so it's hard for her to get time to sew anymore. I'll have to ask her next time she's able to get free time if she can do some extra bratz outfits to sell, if she does I'll PM you and let you know.

KarenTheUnicorn, we posted at the same time.  Lovely pics.  I really, really, really wanted that vampire boy but he never got released in the stores in NZ.  Gutted!  Your collection looks lovely, I really like the doll to the far left of the top pic.  Her hair is amazing!

I didn't know he wasn't available in other countries. I really want the pirate boy, to my knowledge he was not sold in the USA so I know how you feel.

Holy smoke!  I have these girls and I even have a second set that I changed the clothes of!!  Might have to go and change them back I think.

Yes, I would :) Mine are out of box but I really love them. I remember hearing other bratz fans talk about parents making a fuss about them because of they're name 'wicket' and because of how they were dressed. I never saw anything wrong with them but since I'm a bratz fan I guess it makes me bias.

I love seeing these collections, they all look so fun and lovely. Makes me wish I had the girls I used to see in the store. I do know I wish I had gotten the twins/best friends pack they had a few years back. It was a set of girls that kinda looked wicked and they had cats for pets. I also like the halloween ones they put out, the black cat was cute. Anyone which dolls I am talking about?

You're possibly talking about the Wicket Twins - actually Ringlets on your original post the first picture of the two girls are the Wicket Twins. Those are keepers - I have seen an auction on ebay for them once go for $300. I only ever saw them in Toys R Us, (trying to remember if they were an exclusive for TRU). I bought my set and thats the only time I ever saw them in stores. They've considered very HTF and yours look to be in great condition.

I've actually taken a couple pictures today because I'm moving bratz and reorganizing my bratz shelves/room. So enjoy some new pics. Didn't get as much done as I wanted, still have a bunch of boxed dolls I need to open and dolls to dress, and accessories to organize.

The thing I don't really understand is the name. Are they going to be gigantic compared to the Bratz or are they going to have monstrous attitudes like a bridezilla but without the wedding?

Also, lets hope this doesn't start another lawsuit of some sort.

I don't think that will happen. If that was possible Hasbro would have sued Mattel over the Little Pretty pets way back when.

Actually Mattel has already taken Hasbro and MGA to court in the past, in fact Mattel has a history of taking other companies, people to court. MGA finally won the rights to make bratz again so they've been in court for a while already fighting mattel.

I've kind of wondered if one of the reasons the Bratz quality has fallen over the past couple of years is because of mattel taking them to court. MGA for YEARS has had great quality dolls, clothing, products for the Bratz line, it was only after mattel started to sue them that the quality started to fall off in the line.

And if we want to complain about quality in accessories and products we shouldn't forget Mattel is the company of the cardboard accessories and non-functional plastic handbags. At least that has been  my experience over the many years I was collecting Barbie. I pretty much stopped buying barbie after I found out they were taking MGA to court and after I read up on just how many lawsuits they've been involved in.

Personally I don't see a problem with Bratz having a 'monster' themed line. I'm one of the few people that don't really like the Monsters High dolls. Firstly because it's associated with mattel and secondly, the dolls just don't appeal to me so I'd be interested to see how the Bratz line does with the monster theme.

M!indy, a lot of my Bratz are not in their original clothes.  I tend to buy a lot of them naked and just dress them as I see fit.  :)
Ringlets, I love that coloured anniversary doll in your first pic.  I haven't bought any of these girls because I'm not sure that I like their outfits, but she is definiately an exception :D
KarentheUnicorn, where did you get that burgandy dress on the doll in your 7th pic down??  Is it original (not that I care if it's not!!!) but where can I get one????  Wants it we does, preciousss  visitors can't see pics , please register or login

*makes grabby hands*  :dribble:  oh my goodness! :faint:  love your collection!!  thanks so much for sharing your piccies!   I have a growing wishlist now though :yikes:  :P  the one with all the curls - who is she? is that her original hairstyle? I also  really like the ones in the long dresses and the one with the short purple dress with short(ish) dark brown hair, and I totally need more boys (*has one lonely guy whose pic I havent uploaded yet*)

The one with the big curls is a custom. I can't remember what her original hair color was before her customization - it was a doll with a really bad haircut. The outfit is just an extra outfit. I don't think I changed her makeup or I can't remember right now if I did anything, if I did I might have changed the lip color.

What I loved about the older bratz is that they always came with extra outfits. I started buying them back in 2001 when they first were introduced - but since I'm an out of box collector almost everything I own is out if box. But being that I have so many extra outfits, I have enough to dress up second hand dolls I find to fix up.

The puplish/burgandy long dress with the white lace bottom is a dress my mom made for me. The doll is another doll that had a bad haircut, I just sort of cleaned it up and left it short.

For the second hand buyer of dolls, LIV doll wigs will fit a bratz doll. You just have to cut that plastic tab that sticks out from the inside of the wig. So if you find dolls with bad haircuts and you don't feel like doing a reroot, LIV wigs will fit. If you look in my photobucket bratz album there is a Sasha with a purple LIV wig on.

Also, Tinkerbell disney doll clothing fits bratz wonderfully. Though Tickerbell doesn't have a lot of dresses to choose from, they do fit bratz if you're looking to expand the outfit selection for bratz.

I've always loved the bratz dolls. I know they've tended to have a bad reputation among some folks but if you go by the older dolls you really can't beat the attention to details in clothing, accessories and other things that was being produced by MGA for bratz.

And besides, I think they look really cute with ponies!

The list is usually updated since the Jan-Feb listings have been removed and it has changed from last year.

Hope it helps others fine some fun events to attend. I have actually in the past found ponies at Doll shows so it doesn't hurt to check them out, especially if there is one close to you.
