Good ol' sams club, still tracking some some of those exclusives.

Didn't even know about her, but would like one!

I think one of the things I like best about MLP sometimes is there's sooooo many foreigns you can easily forget about some of them (if you don't have one, anyways ) I hope to have one someday!

Price Check Archives / Re: Would you pay $100 for a Paradise Estate?
« on: April 11, 2016, 07:34:16 AM »
I forget how much I spent for mine...it was nearly ten years ago when I finally got it, it actually came with the second edition dream castle but neither had very many pieces, it was mostly for the structures alone at that time. I got a better one (missing the pool though, but with roofs that weren't yellowed) just to get some of the pieces...and I still don't have those teeny pieces that a good percentage of probably got eaten by a kids younger sibling.

$100 alone would be fair, yes, even with some issues...but factoring in shipping would kind of spoil it unfortunately.

The pony nerd in me is screaming out the inaccuracies.

But the kid in me is all like :haha:

Cute though.

If they brought G1s back - same size, same quality, same symbols on both sides, same high-quality art on the packaging....  if they actually made the effort to RE-ISSUE?

Knowing how the last experiment went, I'd say I would pay up to $20 apiece.  That's what I would consider a fair price for an Art Pony - these would not be any different as I would be buying them to display MIB.  And that is still less than most of the vintage G1 boxed and carded ponies' selling price these days, so I wouldn't struggle with paying a similar (and un-inflated) price.

If they charged the price point any lower than $10, we'll still get cheap, bottom of the line quality and it will be at another inflated price that we all complain about.

At this point I'd probably be the same, I'd happily pay $20 for any G1-ish reproduction...heck I'd be happy just to see the G3's come back, I stopped collecting new product after they were finally discontinued. I'm thinking store availability here though, which would never happen, but it's nice to think about!

Lovely pictures everyone (especially the one of the multiple mimics and moc one, wow...that was cool) These topics are making me want to dig mine out, she's been packed away with everyone else for quite a few years. :(, but I miss her so once I manage to find the box she's in I'll post a pic of her here.

Very Nice, I was hoping someone might have a few like that (not sure why just thought it'd be cool to see a herd of them too)

Hm, almost makes me want to start searching for them now, they look good together like that, very nice collection!

Wow, these are all gorgeous, some of my favorite ones and all in beautiful shape! I've had mine packed away so long I can't even remember if they look as nice  ;). Really wonderful editions, the steamer especially sounds well deserved!

« on: April 08, 2016, 09:22:33 AM »

Hey everyone!

Thanks for all the congrats, again I normally don’t like posting my finds but this one was too amazing to pass up sharing.

Mskittylovesrobin – heh ‘bargainest’, that’s totally in my vocabulary now.

Baby Crumpet
- *chuckles* if I could share it I certainly would! If it helps I keep a few four leaf clovers in my wallet…no foolin’, not sure they do anything but I like having them anyways!

Ponyfan – I hear ya, I mean I have the same luck usually but every so often I get a good score…this was just surprisingly outrageous to me.

Again thanks everyone...like I was saying this'll probably NEVER happen again, but I'm thankful it did this once as I only have one other G1 MOC, and she was no $4 dollars I'll tell ya that...

...Are you sure they were ever dirty? *chuckles* that's amazing, all your hard work really shows, they look beautiful.  I'm sorry about the flooding but happy you were able to fix them up again, they do all look great.

...you know you're too old for this when upon reading this topic you find yourself asking 'What about tyco?!'

But then again they only did the little mermaid then everything went right to mattel...then it keeps flip-flopping every ten years or so.

Unfortunately when I think of disney store I think of the earlier, first editions...especially ariel, ugh, I find her at goodwill all the time. I think they used like, one head mold for all those dolls and none of them looked anywhere near close to the characters. I haven't seen the newer ones so much. Mattel was always my fav though, especially their '97 Ariel dolls...they were spot on, I don't know why they changed the head molds they never were quite the same. Not altogether bad, but not as nice either. I'll have to look into the newer disney stores ones since they seem to be getting a lot of love!

I didn't realize Hasbro had the license...again, doesn't surprise me that they tweaked it so much, that's their thing after all. Not terrible...but yet off looking.

anyways sorry to bump up an older topic, I just found every ones thoughts interesting. :)
