Customs / Re: My latest custom (WIP)

Wow...that's just amazing!  :) This looks as if it was made by Hasbro, which honestly needs to release newer characters as brushables instead of a hundred mane six gimics. Usually most of the customs that I have tried end up being failed attempts.

I honestly don't know how to help. I think that usually an oxyclean boil will help lessen pony cancer but then again it really would not be too good for So-soft ponies or bright hair. Maybe a light bleach bath...now I don't know what I'm saying

Welcome to the arena, I hope you enjoy this warm community as much as everyone else. Good luck on regrowing your collection, as you probably have known about the fandom since the beginning.  :)

Thank you, I might actually do that and honestly would have sold or traded Blossomforth on here if I were old enough.  :)

Pony Corral / Re: Acne cream victim or sunfaded?
« on: November 12, 2018, 06:54:57 PM »
Yes, I too think that it was the work of acne cream. When I was trying to restore some of my mum's childhood G1s, I heard that acne cream actually helped the pony while most said that it worsened the condition and added yellow spots. I hope that you can find some solution though like painting over it because it really does suck when a grail is ruined.  -_-

Congrats!  :) They are such a lovely pair together! I love the magenta skin colors and wavy baby pink manes. Just curious, did they cost a bit over $500?

Welcome to the Arena! :good:

Yay, Gusty is also my favourite pony! She's a popular one like Mewtwofan1 said. I also like Blossomforth a lot, and the other G4 ponies released around the same time!

We'd love to see your artwork and custom ponies if you'd like to share them. ^.^ Hope you enjoy your stay!
Thank youu! I definitely am so far!

I'm not really sure how to remove the tail rust without removing the washer and yeah g4s you have to remove their head...It's honestly probably more important right now to get the tail rust out so I think it's more of a priority to do that rather than preserving it since if the tail rust gets bad enough the washer can denigrate and bits of rust can spring off into the pony's body and cause a rust spot there. However, if the tail rust is really that minor you could probably just opt to leave it alone...Sorry if this didn't help much, it's sort of a sticky situation with g4s D:
Thanks, at this point, I honestly don't know if I should cure the tail rust or leave it alone. Removing it would obviously mean removing the head and neckplug and gluing them back together in the end like one would do when customizing. Then again, the value of this early release would decrease  :yikes:  Lol, I might aswell buy a new one.

Pony Corral / Another (small) problem with Blossomforth
« on: November 07, 2018, 03:09:26 PM »
As I said in one of my previous posts, Blossomforth (G4) was one of the ponies I received from an ebay auction back in May. She was in the worst condition ever as her hair was a mess. Also, although not so common for G4s, Blossomforth has a very small amount of tail rust.  -_- For awhile, I really wanted to do something about this but did not want to ruin her value further as the process would require removing her head and tail. Is there any "safer" way to fix this?  :(

Ugh sorry I rlly don't know how to add pics...
So I linked it instead if that's okay.

Great find, I love the princess ponies!  :frolic: The only thing close to "pony" in the thrift stores near the town I live in are porcelain horse dolls. I've been hoping to find some retired ponies there for a while. Btw, I have her UK counterpart Princess Ruby who is not really much different.

Pony Corral / Pony Hair Treatment
« on: November 02, 2018, 08:23:33 PM »
Hi,
I really wanted to know if there was a solution to a problem that I have been having with one of my G4 brushables, Blossomforth. Back in May, I got this pony from a lot listed on an ebay auction. When she arrived, I noticed that the ends and middle of her hair was split, dry, and matted. I believe that the previous owner took her in a pool or tub and just never brushed her mane out leaving it in its sad state. Ever since then, I have tried multiple times to restore her hair back to its original sleek and shiny state with a curling iron, lotion, conditioner, and shampoo. While the results have proved the method to be much more effective, her hair does not shine as much as a g4 in regular condition. Whenever I try to style her hair-especially when curling it with straws and bobby pins, the style never stays in place as her hair is dead straight with the tips dry. Is there anything I can do? Will fabric softner work?  Sorry I don't have any before pics as I started her hair treatment three days after receiving her.
