Pony Corral / Re: Which to keep?
« on: May 06, 2017, 02:06:55 PM »
If I was in your shoes and absolutely had to keep only one, I'd probably pick the blue-eyed one just because I think the colors are a little better coordinated (there's no purple anywhere else on the pony) and I also think the white streak in front is more unique. It does seem a little more well-worn, but nothing serious.

I got her pretty recently! To me she looks like a shy little rain spirit. Of my three I think I might have the biggest soft spot for her.
My very first pony ever!  She's one of the few that I've kept multiple versions of.  I also have an upgrade and the Italian one.

I love what you did with her hair, FarDreamer!

Congratulations, both on the pony and on your conquering your trauma. You must be a very strong person and you absolutely deserve a treat. :)

And wow, you picked a really cute one! I love Munchy too. Her hair color reminds me a little of thousand island sauce, LOL

And another thing. WHY won't my dad talk to me.?! He calls my brother but my emails go unreplied to and so do my texts. He's just stopped communication for no reason!!

he loves playing mind games with people so you can't talk to him or get mad as he twists it round and throws it back at you. All my life hes been like this but I thought things where improving.

Really want to punch something right now.

I'm sorry, that does sound like a really troubling situation.

You're totally free to not answer if it's too personal, but have you tried going low/no-contact with your father? He honestly sounds like he's pretty toxic towards you.

There is no way in heck Bendy and the Ink Machine is going to be worth $20 in total. I don't even think Chapter 2 is worth the $5 it costs, and it's absolutely ridiculous that the customer is expected to pay $5 for the next three installments. I get that the game has a nice aesthetic and all, but as of now there is absolutely no gameplay except for solving incredibly easy puzzles, tanking through laughably non-threatening enemies and occasionally running from a jumpscare. It's possible that Chapter 3 will completely blow the previous two chapters completely out of the water and change my mind, but I find it unlikely. Also, game devs need to learn that the 80s deviled everyone out and no one finds spooky wooky pentagram shenanigans scary anymore.

BatIM is honestly reminding me a lot of Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, another horror game I found immensely disappointing.

Also, I saw three spiders in my house today. Argh. It's that time of year.

Seconded on her hairstyling being adorable.

I think you did an amazing job of balancing all those strong citrus colors. That can be pretty challenging. :)

With the caveat that I don't know too much about customization myself, some of the linework looks a bit shaky, especially around the eyes. You might need a thinner brush and to work more slowly. I also wouldn't outline the symbol in stark black since it throws off the sweet, colorful appearance imo, but that's just me. This is such a super cute custom overall!

Off Topic / Re: What was the first music you bought?
« on: April 30, 2017, 05:59:32 PM »
If I remember correctly, the first CD I ever bought with my own money was Muse's Origin of Symmetry. I don't really like Muse anymore, especially with the new direction they took right around The Resistance, but I still have a soft spot for that album.

I thiiiink the first CDs I got with my own money were a couple Evanescence albums (Fallen and The Open Door)... if there was something before those I can't remember. ^^;

Oh man, Fallen was the first album I ever received as a present. I think I was...about 11? Just entering middle school, with all the angst that entails. Thinking about how much I loved those songs embarrasses me a little now.

Congratulations! I think it's very sweet that your mother is invested enough in your hobby to actually know/remember your grail pony, let alone track it down. I hope you gave her a hug. c:

I have to admit, I love Rainbarf the most. Especially her rainbow martini symbol. :devious: The nebula ponies are a close second, though. I love pretty space-themed things.

Hmmmm. I'm going to guess Minty. Probably not, but worth trying. 8)

Advice?  Either bid your max or use a sniping service!

A sniping service won't win an auction if someone else has a higher max bid. :)

This is true but it really helps with the emotional aspect of bidding.  You decide your max. you program it in.  You go do something besides hover over your auction.  If you won, yay go you. If you didn't, then you know the other person HAD to pay more than you wanted to!  ;)

Seconding this. I honestly really like sniping services since they help keep average prices down, and they've saved me from emotional overbidding more than once. I understand people thinking that they're unfair or unsportsmanlike, but...eh. I'll readily admit there's an art to bidding, but that clearly doesn't seem to be eBay's focus.

got her from a seller who ah, didn't disclose  the fact that she stunk bad.
fought the smell and then popped her open.

she had weed inside her. even though her neck seam seemed to be factory  .-. it was a horrid time trying to get it out. but I knew I had to share my adventure in getting her clean.  Happy to say she no longer reeks.

That's both hilarious and horrifying! How did that even happen?! Poor Munchy was literally a drug mule...

Anyways, I do want her really bad. I realize she's a bit of a pipe dream for me, right now, since apparently she's quite rare and sought after...

I honestly just assumed the burgers and hot dogs were veggie burgers and veggie dogs. I don't really watch the cartoon, though, so I could be wrong, LOL

Novi Stars come to mind immediately tho there are probably more.

I absolutely know what you're talking about. I have Mae Tallick, Roe Botik and Vera Tabray. I love them but they're honestly so frustrating (Mae and her wig that refuses to stay on, Roe and her coils that don't sit at all like they're supposed to, Vera and the fact that both versions of her I bought had major flaws) and I've resigned myself to the fact that they're basically oversized figurines.
