Whirly & Moonstone were boys, mostly because they were my brother's ponies. Oh, and yah Baby Fifi was very much a boy. Hmmmmm, these are all blue ponies...

Well evidently I miss identified one of the ponies.
The 'bride' pony is Bridal Beauty not Pony Bride. Why did they make those two look almost identical?

True! Maybe I should look at this as the perfect opportunity to learn how to rehair ponies. Thanks everyone for your input.

Sounds like Sweet Pop has white paint on her wing. There's no paint to scrape off. Honestly pictures would be helpful. They don't sound too bad overall.
Good call on the white spots. I've seen white marks on ponies before and they always seem to be weird plastic damage, but I went at these and they scraped off. haha Now I feel silly. :p I'll post photos within the hour. Post Merge: May 09, 2014, 10:03:14 AMOk, photos have been added to the original post. I have given them all a 'spa day'. And there is some discoloration that I just wasn't able to get off, I didn't try anything drastic though. Gingerbread might just need some sun bleaching to fix her. She has a lot of weird marks and discoloration but overall she is in pretty nice condition. She is also quite hard, I'm guessing the plasticizer is gone?

I recently acquired a G1 pony, Blossom, and it's like she's gone through chemo. Her hair is trying to fall out when I touch it. I don't even have to comb it or even really pull and some hairs will come with my fingers. It's not so bad that she's bald but I'd like to stop the shedding if I can. I've never seen a pony loose hair like this, it's totally weird.
Anyone have an ideas? How do I fix this? Has this happened to anyone else's ponies?

I've looked at the hair a little more and it's not *pulling out of the plugs* it's *breaking*.
Like it's brittle and it's just breaking off in the middle of hair strands.

I have 5 ponies that need new homes and I would like to price them accurately. Twinkle Eyes: Gingerbread - hair perfect, couple marks, body is starting to grey, eyes perfect Masquerade - hair perfect, head is darker than body & turns, highlighter marks, eyes are scraped Sweet Pop - pink part of the mane trimmed in front to match her bangs, paint scraped off on one wing (I think, it's white?), eyes perfect Do these count as BAIT? Seawinkle - hair perfect, tiny mark near hairline (hidden most of the time), head is barely a different color than body, no shell Pony Bride Bridal Beauty - pretty much perfect, no accessories I can post photos for clarification if needed. Thanks! Photos Added Gingerbread: Masquerade: Sweet Pop: Seawinkle: Spoiler visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginHer only real flaw is the slight color difference and this tiny mark hiding under her hair, and this plud that is shorter than the rest of the hair: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginPony Bride Bridal Beauty: I find Masquerade rather creepy. It's the combination of the mold position, with the gem eyes, with the discolored head that swivels. Creeptastic! lol

So... These are worth like a bazillion $, right? I have a few lil' litters on their cards but I have technically opened them (opened one side of the bubble where it meets the cardboard), can't help it, I have to touch them

Oh, yay! I want to ingest paint that may or may not be toxic!!
Bah!! Why did they have to PAINT the glassware?! That's ridiculous!
They're super cute, though!
I know, right? I have some Lord of the Rings pint glasses and mugs that are clear and are etched. They are the best things ever. I would jump for joy if they did that with pony glasses. I doubt they would though since bright colors is one of the things about ponies, but still. Post Merge: April 30, 2014, 04:18:14 PMThe potential toxicity of these is a very valid point though. Safe for display only it seems.

Aw man, and I was so excited to see a Mimic on card actually pop up. I wasn't going to bid on it but I was still all like 'wow, that's so cool'. uhg, so glad they pulled that, can you even imagine the rage the buyer would have once they got their 'win'?

I think they were made just last year, but I don't have any proof. I'll see if I can find more info. Post Merge: April 30, 2014, 02:54:51 PMvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginThis is how they look in their box. I pulled this image for a random online store. Post Merge: April 30, 2014, 02:58:14 PMYup, made in 2013. I grabbed this off of ebay. It has the info on the bottom left. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginPost Merge: April 30, 2014, 03:17:29 PMI also got this the same Christmas from a different friend. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIt's a G4 Travel Cup. There is a G1 version also that uses one of the same images from the pint glasses, the one with Firefly. I'm pretty sure she got this at Spencer's. So if you're into that and have a Spencer's nearby that's where I'd go.

A friend of mine got me these for Christmas and I admit I did squeal when I opened the gift. They say not to put them in the dishwasher because of the images printed on them so I thought I would hand-wash them... They did look a little odd before I washed them and I thought well maybe that's a factory flaw. I've come to the conclusion that the whole set is a factory flaw. lol They are blue. But the blue will wash off if you aren't ridiculously careful. I can't even use these because I would have to wash them and they would just get worse so I've put them in my window to display them and you can't see where the blue has come off. In my opinion they are not worthy of collectors. Has anyone else gotten these and experienced this? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

I couldn't believe the ink marks scraped right off. I was really hoping I would be able to scrub them off and if I couldn't it would at least be better than huge cancer spots. I feel pretty lucky that it turned out perfectly. I'm also really surprised that the sharpie mark came off of Blue Belle, it took some serious fingernail scrapping and I ruined my nails but it was worth it. I have some lil' litters that I got years ago that came with sharpied paw prints on their sides and I wish I had thought to soak them in something like oxy clean before I attempted to paint over the marks. I have no idea if I can remove the paint at this point. I may have to go dig through my pony box and pull them out and investigate.
