I'm looking for a first edition Abbey. Though i'm not sure if they are still in stores?
I just can't find her over here and i fear that we might get stuck with her second version (the one with the shorter leg warmers). Any help would be very appriciated. : )

I love every type of G1 baby. In my opinion G1 still has the best babies of all generations.
The G4 kids/babies are not very impressive to me. I was dissapointed by the colors of the baby ponies in "baby cakes" and the constant lacking of a cutie mark doesn't help either. The blank flank thing is a fun element in the show but blank flank ponies are boring to collect.

While i can't say i'm "offended". Do you guys really need to give these sneaky stabs at people who don't feel the same way as you guys do? I don't think it's that hard to understand both views...

why is it so many people go straight to  Pony being a stereotype of someone with a disability? has no one ever seen some goofy person making a face? has no one ever heard some one that had a voice that was different? has no one ever seen someone that clumsy? what world are you living in where only disabled people are like that? as for her name, how big would the uproar have been if they had called her something else?
I have never seen a goofy person make a face almost 24/7, no.  Not that i'm saying that anyone with such an eye problem is mentally disabled. In fact, the way they portray the only pony with this condition as an idiot is questionable in itself.

I would buy her and consider the wings to be just the magical wings from the show. : )
Frankly, i don't see any of those ponies as a (winged) different species. The wings look not natural enough for that.

Like others have said, it's a mix of things that make Pony a questionable character. Now again, i think i need to see more of Pony to have an opinion of her. At this point i think she can go either way. But i can very well understand the problems people have with her. Again, it's the mix of her name, her eyes, behaviour, voice and the fact she is only in there as fan service. Frankly, i am one of those people that doesn't want to see fanfiction interfer with the show too much. I think her name will be painfully outdated/lame sounding in an x-amount of years. Also i never liked Snips or Snails. But i never like any character who is just there to be dumb and mess things up. A character like Goofy is at least funny. Snips and Snails however are not.

I would never unbox a G1 pony. If i want a loose one i'm better off just buying a loose one.
That way you don't ruin something (fairly) rare and spend less money at the same time.
I frankly don't get why anyone would buy a rare carded pony only to open it. I also wouldn't want to ruin the great art G1 ponies have. So yeah, unboxing is a big no in my opinion.

And her hair wouldn't be red, it would be white, frosty blue, and silver. But they never ask me my opinion! The nerve!

In all seriousness, MintySocks is clearly a better designer than Hasbro. Winter themed ponies that actually look like winter=win.
Hasbro designed plenty of great winter themed ponies...Just check G3. Also don't forget that Snowcatcher was (in some places) sold before winter. I never really saw her as much of a winter pony.

I think she will most likely be a bonus pony. A lot of the bonus ponies have had g3 infleunces.
Rainbow Flash, Starswirl, Sky Wishes and Daisy Dreams kind of looking like Daisy Jo.
I frankly doubt that Minty was ever intended to be a holiday pony. Most of the current kids don't know about the Minty christmas special and just like the spring fluttershy and valentine Pinkie Pie i think Hasbro would rather pick another of the main characters.
