I adopted a rescue horse almost exactly a year ago, and she is the best thing to ever happen to me. It is a whole lot of commitment (which I am sure you know) but absolutely worth it in my opinion. It's bedtime for me now (shouldn't have been on in the first place, hehe) but tomorrow when I have more time to spend on here I'd be glad to share with you as much as I know

I know there are other people on here who have rescue horses too, so hopefully you can get some good insight

EDIT: Ok forget sleep, I get so excited to talk about horses that I decided to type out answers to your questions now

I found this horse toy at Goodwill today, and had a nostalgic moment and bought him because I know I used to have some of these. I could swear they are called "Dapples" but I could not find any info on him at Ghost of the Doll or any other toy sites. I believe I still have all of my childhood ones, but they are packed away and I am not sure when I would be able to try to dig them out. I know some sets had mares and foals and some had a pearly sheen to them. Says copyright Reeves/Breyer. If anyone knows of a good info site on them or has any, let me know!
