Hi and welcome to the Arena

What a lovely story about your collecting.  I know just what you mean about buying all kinds of ponies and not just sticking to certain sets. There are so many cute ponies out there - must have them ALL.  LOL :frolic:

Enjoy the forums :)

It didn't help when I did some research and found that the TE's and TAF's both contain super rare ponies among their number.... but when it comes down to it I have a hard time resisting ANY pony anymore. It's like a flood gate opened up. O_o Not sure if being on this forum "helps" or just makes it worse, lol!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Seems like a nice place.

Suddenly my own to-do pile doesn't seem nearly so intimidating! :D

Oh wow that is alot to clean. Man I am so horrible I only have cleaned my ponies once when I first got them. ><: Who knows what lurks on them but I dont wanna know. I think I would be extremely overwhelmed by 1000 plus ponies wanting to be cleaned.

1,000 plus?! Jeeze I would be overwhelmed too!!

Wow, that's a lot of ponies! I've slowly been working through mine, but they mostly need their hair washed. Not as hefty as some of yours, it's just a small box of mostly G3's, with some G2 and 4 Mcponies.

Looks like enough to keep you busy!!   ;)

I have come to really appreciate G3 ponies lately.. I only have a handful, and though I'm mainly into G1, the later generations really are adorable.

I dont even think of the to do pony things...it will make me want to curl up in a little ball and cry :P

That looks like a lot of fun though - cleaning up ponies and making them look great is always so much fun!

It IS fun! I only get a couple done in a week but I'm in no hurry :D

I've seen some nice collection pics so on this forum-- it inspires me to keep working on my own!  Unfortunately my To Do pile is still pretty big compared to the ones I've cleaned!

A couple of these are "new" acquisitions (thrift store/ebay) but the majority is childhood stuff... and of course the mix includes some Fashion Star Fillies, a Fairy Tail bird with a broken claw (not sure what I'm going to do about her claw), a couple Mattel Pretty Kitties, and of course some fakies... I'm not sure what I'm going to do with some of those non-MLP items but I've held onto them this long that getting rid of them seems wrong.. even the fakies. ^^*

So how about you guys? Surely I'm not the only one with pictures of a massive To Do pile.

I think like many here I use whatever is on hand. Dish soap for the body (Palmolive is what's here, does the brand make much of a difference?), Herbal Essence shampoo and Suave conditioner. I was originally using watered down Aussie conditioner (not enough left to use for myself but it got me through several ponies)- but when it ran out the ponies got the cheap stuff, lol. They don't seem to mind.

I used to go through the effort of combing dry before a wash but I haven't bothered with the last few ponies I did... Combing wet with thr conditioner on seems to be easier.  :satisfied:

Hello! I'm new here too- I look forward to getting to know you and everyone else here. It's cool that you're into so many collections, just doing ponies seems like enough work for me (lol). Looking forward to seeing pics from your collection if you are so inclined.
