If anyone here sells internationally on eBay, be sure to check your fees.  eBay has been visited by the ****-up Fairy and they are overcharging on the final value fee they ream us on on shipping.

For international orders, the fee is supposed to be based on the lowest domestic rate you have in your listing.  Instead, they are now charging it based on 9% of the actual international shipping cost.  If you have had overcharges, you should call their customer support and see if they can credit the overage to your account.

If you currently have any listings going and the current high bidder is outside the U.S., you should message them and request that they not pay through eBay's checkout.  Instead, have them wait until you can send a PayPal invoice and they can pay that way.  You only get charged the shipping final value fee if they buyer pays through the eBay invoice, so using a PayPal invoice should get around that.

I'm most excited about Guild Wars 2:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guild_wars_2

I played last weekend's open beta and had a blast.  Made 2 characters:  a Human Elementalist:  Frelic, and a Human Ranger:  Shaasta.

It was so overwhelming with so much to try out, I only managed to get Frelic to level 5 and Shaasta to 14 or 15 before the weekend ended.

No kids for me, ever.  But in the past, I thought that if it happened, I would consider Elery Arthur (named after my great grandpa on my dad's side, and my grandpa on my mom's side), for a boy.

For a girl, Ada Grace, named after 2 classic nerd ladies:  Ada Byron and Grace Hopper

The Dollhouse / Re: PC: Monster High Clothes and Storage Coffin

Thanks everyone.  I'll go ahead and try it as 2 different listings then, the coffin by itself and the clothes as a single lot.

Any idea on the worth of this little lot?  I know some of it is Monster High, but not sure if everything is, as some looks too small to fit a 12 inch doll.

Ever since me and my best friend started playing Star Trek Online, we have picked up on "Bonniekin...  Bonniekin..." whenever something creepy happens.

Taken from this one rather creepy mission in the game:

Only identifying information on that Penguin is on his butt tag:  Circus Circus Las Vegas/Reno

And here is my latest addition to the horde, found today at Goodwill where plushies are $1 unless otherwise tagged (and she was not otherwise tagged).

She's from Ty (non-Beanie), 12 inches from bill to butt.  Not sure what her name is, and didn't think to check on her butt tag before I carefully snipped it off and tossed it.

Here's my plushie horde.  The theme in general appears to be birds, and Donald and Daisy Duck in particular,  But there are a few non-feathertails in the mix as well...

Okay, the FurReal Friends parrot and Sing and Dance Harmony Bear aren't plushies per-se, but they have enough plush to them to qualify for the photo shoot.

Great Googly Moogly is from a preschool show called Maggie and the Ferocious Beast

Just as a minor FYI, Great Googly Moogly is from long before Maggie.  I know it was spoken professionally as early as 1974 by Frank Zappa in "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow":  http://www.karaoke-lyrics.net/lyrics/zappa-frank/dont-eat-the-yellow-snow-223564

And it could be even earlier than that.  But Zappa is the first that comes to mind when I hear or exclaim Great Googly Moogly.  :)

Another one we picked up here is the "snifffffff...  Ahhhhhhhhh".  This was taken from the South Park Episode Smug Alert, as a thing they depicted Hybrid owners doing.  We do that now whenever someone is being an arrogant smug ****.

We also make use of Ziggee Bon-gwah!!!  from the Tidal Wave gum commercial...

Pony Corral / Re: what songs do you think the ponies listen to?
« on: March 24, 2012, 02:19:22 AM »
I think the G1s would all be fond of anything by ABBA.  In fact, I think in an alternate universe, ABBA would be a band of 4 Ponies.  They sure sound ponyish.

Voulez Vous?

Pony Corral / Re: Your first completed set.. which was it?
« on: March 24, 2012, 02:11:44 AM »
First complete set for me was the Ballerinas, first the babies and then the adults.  After that, it was the Colorswirls followed by the Twinkle Eyes.

Amazingly, the TEs were pretty cheap and easy to complete once I set my sights on them.  That was primarily due to getting Mimic early on (about 13 cents at Goodwill back when I was just getting started collecting.)

Miis are one of the neatest features of the Wii.  They are user created avatars that can be inserted into many games (not all games support them, but a lot of good ones do).

Here is my Mii burning up the floor with Daisy and Mickey for the Ballad of DAvy Crockett in Dance Dance Revolution:  Disney Grooves

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMH4pbexDmE

And here is my Mii, best friend's Mii, and 3 pulled at Random from our collection of Miis doing Rhythm Kung Fu in Wii Fit Plus:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMH4pbexDmE (not one of my better performances.  Controllers were getting some sort of interference from somewhere that day)

Here's a Mii downloaded from the Check Mii Out Channel that I like using sometime in Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games...

And finally, Mii and my backup crew busting a move to Detroit Rock City in Dance Dance Revolution:  Hottest Party 3

Feels rather silly and pointless doing this, but here's mine...  Nothing special, just a plain maroon nylon wallet with a Velcro seal.

Just realized though, I've been using this same one for around 23 years.  I bought it not long after my previous one was stolen at a mall in Oklahoma City back in 1988.  Wow!  I was 20 then.  Where have the years gone?

Off Topic / Re: What's your favorite animated Disney movie?
« on: March 18, 2012, 11:57:38 PM »
All time number one for me is Song of the South

After that, there is a 4 way tie for second place:

Mickey and the Beanstalk
The Sword in the Stone
Robin Hood
Rescuers Down Under - Most beautiful animated leading lady ever...  Marahute.  :)
