Pony Corral / Re: "Fixed" G4.5s

Wow, that looks really good! It's a shame that Hasbro doesn't put much effort for show accuracy into some of their toys.

Ahhhh...your art is just spectacular, much better than I could do. Good luck with comissions!  :)

Thank you! My latest vid is actually a little better in quality as I did find another program wich allows me up to 720p.

Pony Corral / Re: Rust Removal (Help!)

Thank you all..and I have another question. Exactly how would I remove the rusty clamp holding the tail. Since this is a g4, the clamp is very small and tight. It is after all, the source of the rust.

Thank you!  :) I'm about to cut the neck plug out which is the hard part and doctor the inside up as best as I can.

Post Merge: November 21, 2018, 07:38:49 PM

I took a look inside:

I'm using tweezers and a paper towel wet with dawn dish soap and pushing it inside the body to clean-up.

And the tail rust really is bad!  :X

Pony Corral / Rust Removal (Help!)
« on: November 21, 2018, 06:29:52 PM »
Okay, so I took your guys' suggestions and decided that I HAD to remove the tail rust inside of Blossomforth. I've just removed her head with boiling water and have begun to freak out:

There's all this ick and rust and I don't even know what. Her face is stained and I just noticed some rust eating away the back plug of her hair.

If the outside is this dirty, the inside of her body must be even worse... :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:
I don't even have a clue what to do...I just can't leave her like this. Do I cut the neckplug to clean out the inside? Will something like oxiclean work? If you have better ways, please share because I have no experience in this and don't want to mess up.

Pony Corral / Severe pony head/body discoloration???
« on: November 21, 2018, 02:46:06 PM »
I found this pretty severe discoloration on a Twilight I had. Does anyone know what this is and how it might have happened? Can it be fixed or not? I'm not really concerned tbh as it is just a Twilight. If you are wondering, I got this Twilight from the same lot as Blossomforth.

Yes, I know and atm I'm basic and using my samsung galaxy s8 and a small tripod to film and using an app to edit. I think that explains why my videos look better on a smaller screen than a bigger one. In future, I will look into getting some type of camera!

Thank you! I plan on posting once a week and hopefully will learn more about better editing and whatever p ( pixels) means as in 720p and how adjust it.

Wow! I love that faceup job and the designs on her leg. The colors really do pop out. These newer ponies are not really getting much love and it's really nice to see them customized.

Sooo...I officially have a youtube channel now. I just recently made a hairstyling tutorial on g4 Cuocake. On the down side, the quality is pretty bad.  :silly:

Pony Corral / Re: Another (small) problem with Blossomforth

Yeah, I was thinking that I might as well take the risk too. I've really had it with all of these problems. Just recently, I noticed that there is some discoloration(rust) around her neck.

Wow, that's at least $100 cheaper! Good luck if you plan on restoring them, I can already see how wonderful they'll look!  :)
