Ooh lovely! Thanks for posting these. They look minty!

They are just lovely. Unicorns were always my favorites but I'm going to have to add in a few of these winged ponies into my favorites list. Love these two.

I really like how they did her butterflies because they are wonderfully symmetric on her rump around the tail.

Dang, that's the nicest Dazzleglow I've seen yet!

So in the photo with them all lined up what is the difference between the two on the far right? I'm not seeing anything obvious, what am I missing?

Sprintex: Okay, thats good. :) And congrats on winning her!

telelle_wings: You are right. :) Haha, thats good enough of a reason to want her.
I myself am a big Dazzle Glow fan, so im collecting an army.

Is there anyone who remembers, that there would be a Dazzle Glow, with opposite hair colors? I faintly remember a thread from the old arena, but i am not sure.  :lookround:

There is a Dazzle Glow with blue hair and one with aqua :) Is that the ones you mean?

I feel like Dazzleglow is a pony that is a lot more complicated than I originally thought.

I wouldn't say I'm being brave, I just think they looked so bad that I felt I didn't have much to lose. :)

I only want her because she is a unicorn and that probably has an effect on how much I'm willing to pay for her.  ^.^ I got Star Glow when I was little and she is lovely. Her symbol is weird but I still like her quite a bit.

Sorry, just realised i paid about 30 in euros, not dollars.  :D

Ah right ;)

I paid £31 for a blue hearts one on Ebay over here two days ago, which is about $51.85 to you. It is in excellent condition, not sure what value others would put on it, but my view is if I think it's worth it and I can afford it then that's what it's worth  ;)

In euros it would be about 34 maby, thats a great deal. Im sorry if my message was rude in any way, i did not mean that nor did i mean it would be stupid to pay more than what myself would pay.  :lookround:   :)

No worries. I think both viewpoints are totally valid. There are some ponies that even though I want them quite a bit for my collection I wouldn't pay over a certain price regardless of how nice they are.  My view is that I'm not going to pay that much or drive the price up to make that price the regular. It's like how there are a bunch of items on ebay at high 'buy it now' prices and while I really want them there is no way I'm going to pay those asking prices. But to other people they don't mind at all since they are getting what they are wanting and it is totally worth it.

I know people get mixed results with this, but I accidentally sun burned my cherry treats. I put her in peroxide after, and she looks fine now.

How white did you manage to get her?

The one that went for $20 was in New York and the $50 was in New Jersey.

Pony Corral / Sun fading Cherry Treats & Gingerbread w/ Photos!

Did I really write that? Am I really going to do that with these two ponies that are notorious for burning?!

Yes, yes I am.

Anyway, I've had them in the window (in Seattle, WA where the sun isn't harsh) for about three days with only one side facing the sun.  I can already see changes and they are getting lighter. I'm afraid to do much more though since I don't want to tempt the Pony Fates too much.

Cherry Treats, the side not exposed to the sun:

Totally a blarg-tastic color. The photo doesn't quite do the tan/yellowing justice.

Here is the side that's been sun exposed for 3 days:

Much better, yes?

Here is Gingerbread's unexposed side:

And sun faded side:

Gotta love the foil hair style and the paint on the eyes and symbols. Those will come off with rubbing alcohol btw with no damage to the pony.

As of 6/14/2014 I have removed Cherry Treats from the window because most of the yellowing is gone. You can't see it in these next photos and it might be my imagination but I think a very very slight redness was starting to develop on her shoulder. I am happy with her currant color of cream, so much better than the yellowish tan. The white acrylic paint came off without too much trouble, I used rubbing alcohol and q-tips.

So I guess she was in the window around 10 days. I did one side than the next and then positioned her so that he backside was facing the window because the yellowing was stubborn in that area.

Update 8/6/2014:

I think I've been favoring Gingerbread's right side. I checked some of my photos of how I have her positioned with other ponies I have sunfading and I'm pretty sure I just never flip her.  I stopped paying attention to which side I had facing the sun. She's been in the sun this whole time except for a few weeks to a month when I was moving across town. I had her laying down on a semi-colored pamphlet so that's where that orange color on the parts of her that touched the paper came from, I've switched to something white since I noticed that. The orange color mostly wiped off.

I'm not actually sure that I can tell a difference from the first set of photos to these or not. And of course these photos are with my cell phone and not my real camera. :p

I think she's gorgeous, I have her with reproduction wings. I also want to mention that there are a bunch that were recently posted on ebay for under $20 (same with Cool Breeze) which really surprised me, and they are in very nice condition. O.o

« on: June 03, 2014, 04:45:42 PM »
So I've been watching the prices of G1 Dazzleglow on ebay and they are all over the place. Last month a Dazzleglow with blue hearts went for about $20 before shipping and today a Dazzleglow also with blue hearts but with scuffs went for $51 before shipping.

The one that went for $20 still had a tiny bit of pink in her hair and the other didn't have any at all.

I've seen some here on the Arena listed for around $20-$25. How much is she actually worth? Does the price change depending on if she has pink hearts or blue hearts? And how much does her actually having pink hair add to that?

Thanks so much!

Awesome lists!

I was wondering about the other generations too. :)

Here are photos of Glow, Buzzer, Lady Flutter, High Flyer, and Butterscotch. Glow does in fact have light pink hair. Both Glow and High Flyer have their bug marks on their face as well.
