Great, Operetta's hair was weirdly sticky today. I think it was just the glue used to style their hair getting sticky in the humidity, so I just washed it out with some soap and water, put in some conditioner, and I'm trying to re curl her. I just hope that this isn't that leakage problem that others have had! I also hope I didn't get water in her head...

Okay, so I was able to make a mask for Operetta! Classic white Phantom mask. I also made her black rose earrings, and I just need to glue in toothpicks as posts. I'll try to get pics later!

So who else in the Arena loves Broadway? I'm lucky enough to live pretty close to NYC, so I get to see a show every now and again. I've seen:
-Wicked- My first Broadway show, and I loved it! Saw it with the original cast, sans Kristen Chennowith (spelling?) and it was fantastic. I saw it again last month and it was still just as good.
-Beauty and the Beast- school field trip, don't remember much, but it was good!
-The Little Mermaid- I absolutely loved the staging of this! The underwater scenes were cleverly done, and Sierra Bogges is one of my faovirte actresses!
-Anything Goes- I actually liked this one a lot! Catchy music, and a funny story, plus a great cast.
I'm dying to see Phantom of the Opera at some point, becuase I love the story so much.
So talk about anything Broadway! What you've seen, what you want to see, anything. Oh, and feel free to discuss other productions (like touring productions, West End, and everything in between!)

^yeah, the scale is probably what will be the toughest thing. I just wonder if the sculpey will hold up in such thin pieces. Those earring posts are so tiny! As are the rings! I'm so worried I'll lose Operetta's jewlery.

Hmm, a quick question for your guys. I'm gonna start on Operetta's mask either today or tomorrow, but I've got another thought. Do you think that Sculpey clay (baking) would be good to make earrings with? I'd love to make some rose-themed jewlery for Operetta (can you tell I love Phantom?), and that seems to be the best material I have. Thoughts?

I vote for and predict Clawdeen as winner! Though Nefera is definitely model material, I feel like Clawdeen is more dynamic and well- rounded. Nefera has one look: sexy, whereas Clawdeen I feel is more versatile.
