Hey all, I'm looking for some book recommendations. My stepson and I are still in the bonding stages of our relationship and we don't have a ton in common...but we both love fantasy, mythology and reading so I thought maybe we could try having our own two man book club.
I'm looking for a series (preferably finished...I can't stand waiting!) that is geared around the 12-13 year mark but won't be too boring for an adult.
Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!

It really isn't help, exactly. Some of you older members may remember my website, I've put it here in off topic a couple of times - www.worldlydogs.com - and I have just had a HUGE revamp I would love to share if anyone wants to stop by. I've still got about 50 pages that are missing photos, but they'll be up within the week. I've focused heavily on the history of dog breeds, where they come from, who is who's ancestor/descendent and am pretty proud of how far it has come since its early days. I just finished the AKC so every breed is represented and now have a total of 330 breeds overall. I also set up a Facebook page if anyone wants to check that out where we do daily trivia and are starting a bit of a community, its still slow going, but we're having a blast and would love to have more join in!! www.facebook.com/worldlydogs

Hey everyone, it's been a while (again), but I thought maybe I could stop by and see if anyone has advice/opinions on what cameras they use. I want to make the switch to DSLR, but I don't want to get anything *too* expensive. 500-1000ish is my range, on the lower end of that would make me much happier. It doesn't have to be a brand new shiny model with a ton of mega pixels, and I'd rather put extra money into additional lenses at a later date...

Hi!
I have been wanting to have this piece done for a long time, but I've never hired anyone to do a commission before, so this is all very new to me. I am looking for someone that has experience with both dogs and cats, but I'm open to all types of media depending on your work/style (although color is preferred). It would be basic, no background, with three dogs (irish wolfhound, saluki, and miniature pinscher) and cat. I'm thinking of something with a 'real' cartoon quality, not quite 'disneyish' but something along that line if that makes sense. If your interested please reply or PM me with links to some of your work and pricing.

I've kept my site hosted with my old job for about 4 years now and I've had a couple close scares where I almost lost everything when they transferred ownership so it's past time I find somewhere new to keep my site. I'd heard some great things about hostgator and even signed up with them yesterday, but I'm just feeling very frustrated with their builders so far...I just want to keep the look and feel that I already have without things getting too complicated any suggestions would be welcome and there is a link to my site (worldlydogs) in my siggy. So I've been wondering for a while what everyone's opinions are on Taobao. I've noticed that quite a few of us seem to shop there, but do you consider these ponies to be licensed, prototypes, or just really good counterfeits? I ask because I find the whole concept odd, someone feel free to correct me, but does anyone know exactly where these ponies are coming from?

So I am a tom boy. Hair straight or pony tail only, thank you. So aside from very simple tastes I am at a loss on how to style ponies. I actually prefer them that way, but it'd be nice to see if I could do something 'more' with some ponies. Any tips or hints you guys could share with me would be awesome! I'm particularly interested in more 'up' styles with pins/clips.

So I had some extra hair colors on hand so I came up with this girl. I wanted something with a St. Patrick's theme and came up with this girl. I like how her symbol turned out, but I'm in love with her tail. I didn't blend the colors really and its nice how they stand out in the braid. visitors can't see pics , please register or login
