I was just wondering.

I am not trying to start an argument thread. But, I feel like G4 is slowly falling away from what I loved about G1. Just my personal opinion, but I don't care for the action figures they put out. I will admit, I like the new brushables. They are simply adorable. But it's the same main six with a few others thrown in. I know some new characters are coming out, but it doesn't feel like MLP anymore.

I never dreamed it would come to this, but I am on the brink of selling my G4 collection. Everything....ponies, DVDs, Funkos, etc. I have become almost exclusive to buying G1, but keeping my G2 and G3s because i like them and they have that MLP vibe.

I know times change and this decade is not the eighties, but I just don't get the joy anymore over buying a new G4 item. It has lost its appeal.

I always worry about seller's remorse, which is keeping me from selling my G4 collection. I have had that before. But, I almost feel no sentimental connection to it. I feel I can let it go.

I was just wondering if anyone else feels the same way?

I entered my dog Lola in a contest with our veterinarian office. The winner getts a free DNA test to see what breeds are in them. I am curious what Lola may have in her.

If you go to the link below and scroll down to the January 4th post and vote for Lola Martin (all you have to do is like her picture), I would really appreciate it.

A DNA test normally costs about $100 so it would be saving a lot of money. I really don't want to spend that much to quell my curiosity if it's not that important, but if I can get it for free that would be great.

Sorry for bombarding this part of the forum lately, but I thought this gift sent with so much love deserved a post of its own.

Princessluna11706 won Maddie's Halloween photo contest and wanted the prize sent to me. I couldn't believe it when Maddie messaged me. This plush is handmade by Maddie and is so adorable. Princesslunda11706 worked hard for this prize and I am absolutaly flabbergasted that she wanted it sent to me.

Words cannot relay convey what I feel. I really needed the smile. I am out of work now and in this bad time this little pony brought some  joy  the darkness. I do have some interviews. Maybe she is my lucky pony?

Welcome pony friends! Let's listen to a HUUUUUUGE rant about Paypal from DazzleKitty!

I just really need to blow off some steam. I don't really think you can help because I have spent my entire evening on the phone with Paypal and got.....nothing resolved!

So as some of you know, a tragedy happened in my family. I got a rather large beneficiary check from a family member, and have another one coming. I figured.....hey, let's do a little pony buying. I made a budget. Put it in my NEW bank account  (the huge majority in savings), as I have been getting paid on a pay card for years and am getting ready to switch to direct deposit on this new account. This paycard has SUCKED. It's a long story as to why I have been using it.....but I started with it and fell into tradition. Big check came, and I opened account. New beginning.

So I linked my new bank account with Paypal. Got to the two deposits. Confirmed it. Apparently, Paypal was having some glitches because later in the day it was asking me to confirm it with the amounts AGAIN.

I don't even know where to start with this story.

Firstly, I am buying some stuff for myself that requires a large amount of money to be sent at one time. My debit card will not allow me to send more than a certain sum of money per day. So.... I ask Paypal if I can use my bank account to pay. The account specialist says no, because I have had too many declined payments. I have only had TWO recently, and they got fixed fast because of a blunder on my STUPID paycard. The woman brushed me off like I was some kind of villian, and hung up the phone fast. Apparently she figured she was going to get chewed out.   So, I called back and demanded a supervisor. She told me something different. It wouldn't pay with my bank account because I didn't have a card on file. I took my card off, because it would always take a card as a default payment for sending money, not a bank account. But without a card on file and just trying to pay with my bank account, it says add a new payment option. Ugh.

In the end, I just wanted to set up my bank account as the default method of payment, so I can pay for these ponies these sellers have been graciously holding for me. One of them is my ULTIMATE grail. And I want to scream. It's like....nothing can go smoothly. Just set up my bank as the default way of paying so I can PAY for these items and go on! I verified with several security questions it was indeed ME. But no, they keep on coming up with excuses as to why they cannot do it.

I don't even want to talk to their customer support anymore because they are stupid. One person tells me something, a supervisor tells me another. In the end, it's just a bunch of idiots. I wonder if there is a language barrier, because where I am calling is obviously not the US. They all seem to understand English well enough.  I just wish there wasn't this language barrier. We could get our points across clearer. Apparently one girl, who was on the phone with me earlier in the night, got my American jokes and was laughing. I was in good spirits then because I was about to purchase my main grail. By the end of the night, I was fried.

I need a bit of retail therapy. Things are frustrating at home and I want my dang ponies! I don't know what to do. And I tried adding my card again after taking it off, so I can pay my sellers in increments. Now it's not taking my card. Probably for security reasons after so much being done to my account.

I seriously want to wave the flag and give up.

I am getting ready to inherit a rather large sum of money..... and I don't think the person I am inheriting it from would mind if I took a few thousand, since I am inheriting so much, if I blew it on ponies. Of course, the majority of it will be saved, but I'm wanting to get some of my biggest grails. I know some of these are rare and never come up for sale, but I am trying here first. Before eBay. Because fellow collectors are more reasonable and I'd rather support the MLP community.

I may ask you hold them until I get my check. I have feedback here and feedback on eBay that is all positive, so I can vouche that I will pay you.

Okay, I commissioned a custom from someone who is a member here. I am not disclosing the name yet because I don't want to shame them. The custom was commissioned on Etsy but we have been communicating here too.

I have messaged several mods/administrators about this too and am not hearing back.

This custom was commissioned way back in July and would take three weeks to complete. She said she's been in and out of the hospital so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I totally understand that, especially with that's been going on with my life lately.

I have even offered to take one of her current customs in exchange for the commission, she can keep the extra money if she is having money troubles. She won't respond to me on Etsy, she won't respond to me on here. I see she was online here TODAY and I just sent her a message here a couple days ago out of desperation. She did not respond. She has great feedback. What is going on? Why won't the mods respond to me? Why won't she respond to me? I am LIVID right now.

Help, please? Over $70 is a lot to be out of. I'd kind of like to know if I am going to get my pony or not.

I could file a claim with paypal, still. But I'd rather have the pony. Her customs are amazing. I just don't know why she won't take my offer for a cheaper pony unless she really is in the hospital?

Also, I know my message has been read. I checked my outbox.

I think this is probably the most expensive pony I've ever bought for myself.  But, she is precious to me. She's not my birth month, but a birth month to someone who is precious to me right now. She took a while to get to me, had some delays, but she is finally here.
