I purchased a "buy it now" lot of ponies with freaking bangles in it for 4.00. The seller then cancelled my order and refunded me and relisted as an auction. Can they do this? How is this fair?

So, I bought three ponies in an instagram sale last week. Unfortunately, when they arrived I got the wrong lot of ponies. I contacted the seller and the person who actually was supposed to receive the ponies I got. Im thinking the packages were swapped, no big deal.
The seller was non apologetic over the issue. I offered to ship the lot I received to the correct buyer if she reimbursed shipping. I asked her to confirm with the original buyer that it was ok for me to do so, the seller agreed and insisted I send out the ponies by the 3rd of this month because she was going offline for personal reasons. Today I message the seller and ask for an update, tomorrow is my only day off before the 3rd that I can get to the post office. With no response she deletes her account 20 minutes later.
At least I am in touch with the other buyer, and hopefully she got my lot and we can swap. However, we are both out shipping fees now that the seller is not available to refund. My question is: Can we contact paypal to be reimbursed for shipping or request a partial refund or are we just out of the money? What if the other buyer doesn't get my lot but someone elses? Then what?
***edited to add the name of the seller as Rileycat or currently Rileycat 24

I know a lot of people were interested in the toy fair petites I had recently found. I was on the fence about selling, but then my care broke down....maybe it was a sign. Anyway. Here is the link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/302060760441The auction includes a set of four, all in the bags except for Sundance. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I have one I am willing to sell since it is a double. I just wanted to see what they were worth, I never really collected the petite ponies and ended up with a ton of them. Someone told me that these were toy fair exclusives and I wanted a little bit of knowledge before I sell the one. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I found these at a Picker's "garage sale", he was reluctant to sell them and I paid about a dollar per pony but I'm super excited! I got 98 petite ponies, combs for the big brothers and some pixie tails. The guy was being a real jerk, and I'm sad I didn't get to explore more. Unfortunately he got irritated if you touched anything and tried to jerk up the prices on everything. He was in the middle of nowhere and appeared to be a hoarder....anyway...here are the pictures! All laid out, final count was 98 visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI got one charm in the lot visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd apparently was the big score of the 1997 toy fair exclusive petites, one is a double. I actually had 3 of the white one but have sold one to a friend. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIt's killing me not to go back and hunt through the shed, but I cannot deal with his nasty attitude again. He was advertising a yard sale but literally chased people away with outrageous pricing and yelling at people who touched things. I almost left empty handed but decided to give him 100.00 for my lot because I could not leave them behind.

I'm obsessed with this pony, she has been in lots going pretty high on ebay, I just want the pony. I will take a Nightglider with minor flaws or haircuts. I can re-hair and touch up symbols, no problem.

This happened a couple months ago, but I really wanted to share. My aunt and nieces kept a couple of the ponies, I'm sad about Sugarberry and some others that did not make it to me. But for 2.00 this was an amazing haul. I have re-winged my wingless flutters and summerwing since these photos were taken. Mimic was in the box! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

I came across these two lovelies in an antique store, the flocking on them is gorgeous! I was so excited to get them. I had been to that store numerous times and found nothing....then I did. I love the oven bags, I did not cook these ponies. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

So what would you do with a pony that looked like this? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI decided to restore her, and in all of my restorations I always add a unique feature. First I had to clean her, she was smelly. Oxyclean bath and peroxide plus baking soda helped remove some of the inground nastyness. I rehaired her using dolly hair for her red and yellow stripe. Rit dye was used on the pink section. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginNext, I took care to repaint her symbols and eyes. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd now...for the big reveal! For a twist, and to hide a few flaws...I pearlized Bouquet! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd as an added bonus, her mechanism is still functioning! Ever since I started collecting (G1), it's been rough finding ponies in the wild. I have a ton of places I go, but don't often find ponies, and when I do its G3-G4. So yesterday, I decide to check out a mom2mom consignment event. These are traveling events where it's all kids stuff meant for moms to sell to each other. Anyway, I get in there and the line is wrapped around the whole place just to check out. I think all the good stuff is gone but decided to peek anyway. B-line for the toys! I circle the shelves looking for anything pony....it's crowded and hard to maneuver and pick. I'm like a vulture circling the three toy shelves. I look down and no! No, it can't be....and there it was, a baby bonnet school of dance. I snatched it up and put it in my bag without hardly looking at it. I'm in shock, my adrenaline is pumping!!! Another loop around...hmm ..fakies...no. I snatch up several small bags of G-3 and G4 and a big G4 Princess thing that talks. I never leave ponies behind, It's my picking creed. Another swoop and I glance under a shelf to see a large shoe....no, it can't be....yes!!!! Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe!!!! Oh and I have scooops, she has her apron still! SCORE!!!!! I squeal with delight as I put it in my bag! I feel lucky, I feel like.....Finally! I win! After a few more rounds, the shelves become bare, I circle the whole sale looking in boxes, under racks of clothes and on various non-toy tables. Pick up a G3 lunchbox and get in line, no ponies (only fakies) were left behind. I go to checkout and realized I was so excited....I didn't check prices! Nervously I peek at my treasure and see nothing is marked over 5.00. I exhale and pay for my treasures. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I've done regular pony rehairs, but I'm wondering if flutter ponies pose any challenge with the whole wing mechanism possibly in the way. I don't want to open her up if it might not be an obtainable task. Her hair is completely fried, even after boiling and using a flat iron.

So, I'm fixing up a bait G1 Firefly and noticed her tail hole is cracked. I'm trying to replace her tail but the crack makes this very difficult. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Hi, I'm new, obviously. I just started rebuilding my childhood collection of MLP. When I was away in the Navy,my grandma sold all of my toys at a yard sale. I finally decided that now is the time.
My other interests include pet rats, sewing, and animal rescue. I also start medical school in May. I'm a big science geek, especially biology.
