Pony Brag Arena / Latest Swap Meet Finds Plus ID Help Request
« on: October 18, 2016, 04:23:20 PM »
I finally found something after a dry spell! A Baby Apple Delight, and a So Soft Magic Star (not pictured because she's really gross atm and has a bad mane cut).

and I found these little ones too, I've done a lot of searching, but I haven't been able to find out what they are. They say copyright Hasbro on their bellies, but no year, also the paint job isn't what I would expect from any MLP line. Are they fakes? Any insight would be much appreciated.

Pony Brag Arena / Tiny G1 Swap Meet Find
« on: August 03, 2016, 08:49:29 PM »
I've been hunting for G1s more actively this year at my local swap meet and thrift store. I had a lot of good luck in Jan and Feb, but I've been seeing less and less of them lately. This was my latest G1 acquisition:

She was reeaaaaaallly dirty and gross, but she was only 50 cents so I figured why not? I was hoping the line on her side was going to come off because it seemed like a superficial mark, but it seems to be permanent.

In the same trip I also found a couple of ponyville mermaids! Mermaid ponies of all generations are so cute!

Introductions / Hello :)
« on: January 13, 2016, 06:11:05 PM »
Thank you for letting me join!

I started off as a very casual collector, mainly collecting the toys from McDonald's whenever they'd release them because they were cute, and they came with food XD. When the G4 ponies came out I started making custom pony plushies and due to the love of the show and my plushy creations I started to become more and more interested in collecting the older generations of ponies. I started buying random Ponyville figurines at first when I'd visit the local swap meet since they're super cute and didn't take up very much room. That eventually that led to an interest in buying G3 ponies to restore them...which inevitably snowballed into hunting down G1 ponies at thrift stores and swap meets which is now my main focus.

From G1 my main goal is to collect new born babies and sea ponies, but I will buy any G1 I find at the local swap meet so that I can restore it and give it a better home.
My current list of G1:
Four Speed (my first pony from when I was a child)
Wave Dancer
Jangles and Tangles
Baby Stripes and Baby Nectar
Princess Tiffany
Bow Tie
Scoops
Cherry Treats
Baby Rainbow
Baby Sunribbon
Ringlet (my newest one, I love her colors and cutie mark!)

The next local swap meet is being held this weekend and I just can't wait to get out there and see what I can find! In the mean time though I do have a small story with a question at the end:

For Christmas my friend bought me a pony lot from Ebay...however the seller was dishonest saying they didn't know if the ponies were from a non smoking home. When the box was opened, it smelled like a million ash trays T_T. I gave them a thorough scrubbing and that did get rid of a lot of the smell, but they still stink. My next step will be putting them in baking soda to hopefully absorb some more of the smell. The reason I haven't had my friend return them is the seller states no returns and I don't want to send them back because my friend put such extensive thought and effort into this gift. Does anybody have any advice on getting rid of the smell any further? I'd appreciate any help on this as they're so cute and I'd like to display them with the rest of my collection.

In the lot is:
Baby Frosting
Baby Noddins
Baby Tattles
Baby Tappy
Baby Tiddley-Winks
Baby Lickety Split
Baby Jebber
