Im kicking myself SO hard for not picking this set up when it released. But I didnt play MtG at that time. And now that theyve put up preordera for set 2, set 1 prices have gotten so over inflated. Anyone able to help a pony out and sell them at a more reasonable price point than scream-bay?

Anyone know the most efficient way to ship big playsets? Specifically G1 Dream Castle and Paradise Estate?

Im loaning out my collection for a film project. The props manager has a company FedEx account so thats the preferable shipper.
Is it more cost effective to go with fewer larger boxes? Or more smaller boxes?

Any general advise?

As some of you may have seen in my prior post- Im downsizing! Was super anxious to start but now Im on a roll and feeling great about it.

I've decided to part with all of my petites. I have all of the molded hair petite ponies and no clue how to price them!
I was planning to sell them in small lots:

Pretty Pony Parade (10)
Sunsparkle Ponies (5- translucent)
Pretty 'n Pearly Ponies (5- pearlized)
3 cottage ponies- Puddles, Little Flitter, & Flurry
3 shoppe ponies- Floater, Tabby, & Misty
Prancing Pretty Carousel- no bows, seasaw, or ticket booth. Only 2 cup train cars. Includes Topper & Whirly
Happy Hearts Cottage- complete w/box & instructions, mismatched green grass instead of pink. Includes Puddles.

I feel like I dont want my ponies anymore?! Or at least not the majority. I even feel ashamed/embarassed- that I have them at all, and that now I dont want them!
I've been collecting for about 6 years now- theres always been ebb & flow. But I've never gone this long (8 months) feeling soooo distant from my collection. Even feeling regret for "wasting" the money? Especially as I had just gotten into pricier ponies before this happened.

I can appreciate the fun Ive had with my collection over the years but I genuinely feel like its "Time to move on" although Im worried that if I do that I'd ultimately regret it.
The advice Ive seen is typically- pack them away for a while as opposed to selling incase of regret. But I really dont even want to deal with packing the space up, its a whole (small) room! But even the thought of trying to sell them is also extremely daunting. I kind of just want them gone. [Im sure there are some I would keep regardless]

Its causing me some distress. I know it is also part of a greater feeling of needing to downsize my belongings. (Which is also why packing up doesnt help)
I always used to purge my material items at least annually but since living in single family homes vs apartments the past 5 years I feel like Ive accumulated far too much material "stuff" mostly in the form of collections or hobbies (which always fall to the wayside after a big financial dump)

I dont know what to do. I worked so hard to make my perfect pony room- I think that in itself was a hobby. And very soon after it was feeling completed, this crisis started to sneak in. I shifted to buying fewer, more expensive ponies- thinking I was just feeling like there were no more "common" ones on my want list but that quickly turned into no ponies. No logging into the arena. No posting in my mlp instagram. No longer even checking my mlp instagram. No setting foot in my pony room. And now theres literally been bags of clothing to donate blocking the entire doorway into the pony room for months....

I never knew I could feel so much weird guilt and shame about a toy collection. Its like Im embarassed that I ever started. I think it mayyyyybeee has to do with the way I used pony collecting to cope through a rough period of time in my life and mental health? Now I cant imagine justifying spending that much time or money looking for plastic to make me feel better... Its really rather distressing.

By some miracle of fate, a few days ago- I stumbled across a listing for my ULTIMATE GRAIL  GREEK SUNBEAM!!!!!

I have wanted her for as long as I have been collecting G1. Sunbeam has pretty much always been my favorite pony because blue is my favorite color and I have a really strong connection to the sun. But Ive never been a fan of her "walking" pose. And I dont love the glitter symbols, I always prefer the painted symbols for some reason. So whenever I discovered that Greek Sunbeam came in the "Glory" pose (my #1 favorite G1 pose) with a metallic painted symbol I was immediately in love. PLUS the sun symbol is ever better than the US version with the pointed rays vs the rounded ones. And the hair!! So much more vibrant in gold with a blue streak.

Hey everypony!
I started working on learning Italian with duolingo this month, and It'd be great to follow other pony friends on there 

My username is SunbeamAdam

Who else is on Duolingo? What languages are you learning?
I realized they also have Klingon- which is really exciting! But first Im going to focus on just Italian until I feel more confident in it.
I'm really surprised at how well Duolingo seems to be working. I got Italian Rosetta stone for my birthday last year and did it for a little while, I think I'd rate them as equally effective but Duolingo is free and more mobile friendly!
