I've only been into MLP for about two years, though being in my mid-30s I obviously recall seeing the show around as I was growing up. I admit my entire collection is G4 basically, and I have all sorts of pony related merchandise I've been accumulating. I have a full-time job, go to school part time, and make pony videos on YouTube for fun...that is, when I'm not out trolling for more ponies to collect
