Hi all! I'm researching kitty & puppy fakies and similar looking toys to Mattel's Little Pretty & the kitties from Lady Lovely Locks. I'm working on the My Little Wiki section for the Little Pretty toyline and I'd like to include a fakie section. I know of a toyline by Simba Toys from their "Pony Land" collection called "Beauty Friends" and these are fairly similar. If you have photos and or are willing to sell them to me please let me know. Click on this to make it bigger: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI've also found a fakie that is ridiculously similar to the Little Pretty toyline, only bigger and has MLP symbols on both sides of the hips. There is no toy brand marked on the feet. The feet are marked Made in China with a #2 on one of the feet. I got her off of ebay from someone in Poland, so probably a European toy company. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAny thoughts, info, photos, toys for sale, and whatnot would be extremely helpful. Check PAGE 2 for more photos. Thanks!

Hi all!
So I'm working on the Little Pretty section on the My Little Wiki and I need photos of some of the figures and of the accessories. There are some things I just don't want to have to track down or buy so I am sending out a call for anyone in the Seattle area who has these that would be willing to let me photograph them. You can come over and play with my cats and I could even buy you gelato after the photo session. Even if you don't live nearby and you have these, especially the MIPs/MOCs and would be willing to donate photos I would be truly appreciative.
When I photograph them they need to have been through a spa day and looking as spiffy as possible.
These are the things I need photos of:

Hi all!
So I think I might be blind or incompetent or something but I want to become an editor to work on a few pages that need some work.... but I can't figure out how to create an account to join. The login page doesn't have a create an account link and the help page only talks about the steps after that. I'm guessing some of you know how to do this, can you help me?
Thanks!

I'd like everyone's input on the best method for shipping ponies?
I have a few G1s I'd like to sell eventually and just haven't because I'm unsure of the best ways to do it. I've seen a lot of interesting packaging over the years. Bubble envelopes, inside-out hot chocolate boxes, multiple manila envelopes taped together, actual flat rate USPS boxes (which seems like the safest if not the cheapest)... I've seen the ponies themselves wrapped in ziplocks, in bubble wrap, wrapped in paper, wingy wings with cardboard protection on their wings, loose in the box... I'm pretty sure newspaper is a no-no. So I have a few questions:
How do you keep the costs of shipping down? What kind of packaging do you use for awkward pose ponies? So Softs... Safest way to keep flocking from coming off?
Any other tips are welcome!
Thanks!

Hi,
What are Petite Ponies going for nowadays? I'm thinking full sets, including prices for MIP.
I don't have any MIP but I am thinking about making an offer to buy back a set or two from a gal who I originally bought a couple sets for over a decade ago.
Thanks!

Mexican Starflower! I'm considering her my gateway drug into the world of Nirvanas. There's no stopping me now! I'm hooked! She cleaned up well, I had to boil-straighten her hair as it was rather fried and she got a deep clean that took most of the aged-on dirt off. And considering she's a variant of one of my all time favorites I'm super happy with her. She gets to hang out with Gypsy and my lil' Litters for now. I'm hoping for Mexican Pinwheel next. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

I've got this thing for unicorns and I recently went through the MLP Wiki looking at all the variants and came up with a list of unicorns that I'd eventually like get. Over time... Years, I'm pretty sure some of these are worth oodles of money, and all together, gads. If anyone can help me out as to how much I should expect to pay for these lovelies (in relatively decent condition, they don't have to be minty) I would be grateful.

I really want to get my hands on her and her price is all over the place online these days. What is she actually worth at the moment?
Thanks!

I saw an older post about the frizz being a chemical process that damaged the hair and that it can be sensitive to flat ironing. I wasn't able to reply to it since it's from a year ago so I'm starting a new thread.
What I'm wondering is if you can use the boiling water method? If you can use it to help straiten the hair does anyone know if it damages the color-changing feature of the parts of the hair that aren't damaged?

I recently had to move to a new apartment and needed to figure out how to properly store my G1 ponies. I went from throwing the lot into a basket and storing in my closet when I was younger, to a large plastic tote with the ponies shoulder to shoulder, to how I packaged them with actual care for this recent move across town. I decided I needed to store them better because I was getting plastic transfer from the shoulder to shoulder storing technique and that is a pain to remove (I did). So I did some forum searching and decided to order a bundle of acid free tissue paper. I individually wrapped each pony taking care to wrap their hair around their necks and legs so that they wouldn't look silly when I removed them. I also wrote their pony type and name with pencil on the outside of each packaged pony. I put my petite ponies & little kitties/puppies into a My Pretty Kitty perfume bottle. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginI didn't bother with silica this time around. I figure the paper will be good enough atm. They were wrapped up for about a month. I recently opened it up and took my project ponies out and some of my favorites and they unwrapped beautifully. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginTheir hair came out perfect. I'm very pleased and I don't have to clean off any color transfer this time around.

So I have a SS Cupcake that I've had to deflock since her flocking was terrible and coming off anyway but underneath she has three blue sharpie marks. Unfortunately I'm guessing they have been there a while since they look like they have bled a little. I've put her in oxyclean, tried magic eraser, she's now in the window in the hopes that maybe they will sun-fade out. I also have some really really sad lil litters that I got off of ebay around 10 years ago that someone put paw cutie marks (a few collars too) on with sharpie. The really sad part is that the entire pink and white nursery family Scrub-a-Dub Spaniels were in this lot and only one of the puppies made it out without getting sharpie marks. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginI am attempting to sunfade the adults and they are now wrapped up and look like mini baked potatoes since I covered them with aluminum foil. Will sun fading work? Is there anything else I can do? I at one point even painted over the marks on the babies but the paint eventually came off and I didn't match the color very well on some of them. *bumped over to the corral for you* PLEDIT 11/19/2014: Current Status: I haven't completely cleaned up the white paint but you can see the dramatic results. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login
