Last night I caught the ad. about the new Rainbow Brite dolls coming out and it was just auto about me placing a pre-order. I don't think I've been this excited before about a coming doll. I don't remember getting the one I had in the 80's I sadly no longer own.
But weird question here. Aren't MLPs sort of dolls? Like by every definition except not human and generally not clothed? The prospect of owning a new MLP has always found me excited. Yet I'm putting this Rainbow Brite doll in another category. ... That could also be because RB dolls vintage are either in bad shape or very expensive.

I feel if I brought this up on my personal social media no one would care to say anything. I figure why not ask here? Backstory information first: I've been working on a fan fiction project since 2015. It's not MLP related, so I won't give its basic details except the fact it's now over 1,000 pages long and counting, plus I've never missed a deadline about story updates. It's had many stories inside its universe and the one I'm working on started getting worked on (outlining) in late 2017 - started getting pages made for it in 2019. .... Over 340 pages now, the story soon is going to be finished with more stories on the way. Still, it's the longest comic based story I've ever done. ... I want to celebrate finishing it which I think will be in a few weeks. Thoughts? The second longest story of the series in comic format was wrapped up in the fall of 2017. I wanted to treat a friend to a matinee movie and lunch. He made plans at the last second and skipped. I never went to a movie then and ate alone. Currently I don't have any buddies who would give a rat's butt about my creative project work. I want this closing chapter of the series writing to have something memorable attached to it.

A while back I bought the Rescue from Midnight Castle set of ponies. On the box was a notation Spike could be bought separately. Has anyone seen this G1 I assume *quite small* remake of Spike for sale anywhere? There isn't a mention of the toy across the web from what I can see.
By the way I put quite small with the * * marks since the ponies are about two inches in size. If scale is used for the baby dragon, I can only picture Spike as big as my thumbnail.

I know when I post this to my DA account it won't register on anyone's radar, so I figure here people might care to say some thoughts. My friend/boss has his birthday coming up on the 12th of next month. He said for me to make him some hand drawn art and I proposed this. Since I normally draw cats for him (a theme for the online store we work for). Why not "cat-a-fi" people from a movie he values sentimentally? In this case "Somewhere in Time", since him and his passed on fiancé, it was their movie. He agreed but he's only seen this in early stage WIP and not later since he told me he'd rather be surprised. What do you think of it? I know it didn't photo well so I tried my best to make it digitally presentable. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I hate to say this since it feels like blasphemy to MLP collecting but I like the current stuff coming out from Basic Fun more than Hasbro is doing with G5. The Hasbro stuff currently ... feels a little cheap. Yesterday I ordered the new Glory plush, Celestial Aurora, and the Escape from Midnight Castle set. Sadly, I'm not getting these guys for about four weeks. What are your thoughts on these ponies? Also, back to my earlier comment about current Hasbro VS. Basic Fun. I feel the Escape from Midnight Castle set are about on the same level as Happy Meal toys but for some reason that doesn't bother me about them.

This is the only place on the net I feel people would get my naming choices. I was introduced to MLP when I was little and am proud to have had G1 as a generation first hand to my childhood. In my small collecting days I considered Firefly and Melody a pair both being pegasi. Recently though a weird quirk I got a free tablet through Amazon to one already paid for. They said I could keep the thing. With a set of duo machines that were the same critter, I thought it best to name the pair and use them for different reasons but trying to have them work together. ( Both Windows based. ) After a few days of debate for naming eventually I veered into fandoms I have a fondness for. The pair of G1 ponies came to mind almost instantly. Both got officially dubbed their names to each PC not long ago and they've been networked together. To help tell the fresh machines apart from each other when testing the network connection. I gave them the notepad files to each drive of, "Pony Pad A" and "Pony Pad B" .

I was in a thrift store earlier today that recently had tons of vintage toys donated to it. Among them were lots of G2s normal and beanie baby style. I could only afford to buy two of the them. I purchased a G1 from Goodwill which I was able to identify on Google after a brief search. Tootsie isn't common to see online. Is she rare? Because I thought only mail orders and late G1s were only considered that.

I found mine in need of some TLC and a mystery when I bought her. I didn't even know there was a G3 Moondancer till research in discovering what pony I'd purchased. Given she came out at the dawn of the G3 era. Common or uncommon? I do think it's rich that again when looking into this era, the note of it started in 2003 and the marking under her hoof says 2002.

How can I restore the proper coloring of gray cloth on a figure when I can't remove the garment for washing? It's turned slightly "tan-ish" over time ( I'm not the original owner ). Note this is 33 years old.

I'm doing research for a fan fic, and Lisbon - Portugal is where some of the events are meant to take place. I don't like to totally BS readers with my work, and that's why the research happens. I'd like to use the" Lisbon International Fair" as part of this setting, but can't get information on the place. The website can quote un quote translates to English, but it doesn't. Plus I checked YouTube for any tourism type videos mentioning it. No luck. Please help me out if you can  ?

I've been working on a piece of fan fiction for over a week now in pose form.
In this work I've been practicing an old habit from my days of writing the 26th Century episodes, of once in a while loading the story into a PDF maker to see how long the story really is. This is my normal way of breaking up chapters after a certain amount of pages.
I don't understand what is going on right now in the formatting that maybe some one here could clarify. For a while it seemed I had written 16 pages worth of the story so far. Then I decided to send it to my boyfriend to read over and get his opinion of it so far since he's used to writing pose based fan fiction himself.
So after this happened, on the next PDF check, 16 pages became 11 pages.
I wondered if this was some odd word wrapping issue with my text editor, but that didn't seem to make a difference when testing theory to uncover the mystery.
This morning I wrote what I consider about a page or so's worth of work. Now the PDF maker is saying I've typed 21 pages for the story so far?!
Nothing had been written in between the check that said 11 pages had been written. What the heck is going on here? My formatting in how I'm writing this has been steady since the start on style.

What is the point of this site? I gained an account with them a few months ago because a friend insisted I do so in that it would help my exposure as an artist. To my knowledge it's just collecting dust except for postings I make to it. Is there some way to tell if people are even looking at a Tumblr blog? Ok, yes comments but there aren't any ...do ..can Tumblr blogs get comments?
