I didn't see a topic for this on here yet, so excuse me if it was already shared.
Through an Amazon listing news got out that a crossover collection is coming this year, featuring MLP x Ghostbusters, Power Rangers and Transformers figures. They even got named already:
  • My Little Pony X Ghostbusters Crossover Collection Plasmane
  • My Little Pony X Transformers Crossover Collection My Little Prime
  • My Little Pony X Power Rangers Crossover Collection Morphin Pink Pony

The listing got removed (or is very hidden), but we have the description as we were able to find through a Swedish crawler who picked it up when it was still online (which we also posted, including some of our thoughts, on https://www.mlpmerch.com/2020/05/my-little-pony-x-ghostbusters.html)

Quote

So, outside the board game licenses, Hasbro seems to finally get more creative with a mixture of their brands.

(also, lol, the Power Ranger pony really suits my current title here )

Pony Corral / Who made the Fancy Pants Babies in Thailand?
« on: April 20, 2020, 09:56:18 AM »
(I orginally asked this question in the Nirvana section, but it's probably better off here, with the US collectors ^^)

For our MLP G1 database I have a few "mysteries" left, one of which is the manufacturer of the US-released Fancy Pants Babies (and possibly Thai Mountain Boys too). It is know that they were made in Thailand, but I couldn't find much more than that.

Was is just a Hasbro-owned factory, or was their production outsourced/licensed?
Any help would be welcome! Especially MOC photos of them could lead to more info.

MLP Nirvana / Some nirvana-related questions for G1 database
« on: April 16, 2020, 12:52:42 PM »
Hey all,

While re-working our G1 database I came across some (for me) unanswered questions of which I hope anyone here knows the answers. I've just compiled them here in this thread so that I won't spam the board with separate posts

Thanks in advance for reading and thinking along ^^

French manufacturer
While reading about French ponies, I see that no place explicitly mentions a manufacturer or distributor. The spotlight post here mentions the factory being located in 'Le Blanc Mesnil', but no company. Was it just a local Hasbro-owned factory, or is anyone aware of another company involved in their production?

Release year of Greek ponies
Does anyone know/remember during which years the Greek ponies were available? Especially the sitting/Easter ponies.

South African OOAK
From what I understand the SA Firefly, Parasol and Powder were considered OOAK. Is that still true or have more been found over the years?

Argentinian CP Flutterbye & Songster
Is it known whether legitimate CP Flutterbye & Songster ponies were ever made? Aside from the bootlegs and mash-ups from after the factory closure.

NC "Spain" Sundance
I know this is a long-running topic, but is there any NC variant of Sundance that was released outside the UK?

Peru Baby Moondancer
This baby is mentioned on the wiki, and I've seen some forum posts online from people who wish to own her, but other than that I can find 0 pictures. Is anyone aware of her existence?

Thai Mountain Boys
I have barely any knowledge of the Thai Mountain Boys, but I know they are extremely rare. Was ever found out how these were marketed? Are they considered prototypes or have these actually been for sale anywhere (with just a handful of survivors)?

Thai manufacturer
Although I read that the Thai babies aren't allowed on the board here, hope I can ask this question in light of the Mountain Boys: were these made by a Hasbro factory in Thailand, or was it outsourced/licensed to another company?

MLP Nirvana / German Baby Cotton Candy (Baby Karamell)?
« on: April 13, 2020, 01:42:04 AM »
Hey all,

While browsing several nirvana topics and the wiki, I noticed that the backcard of the German babies includes a Baby Cotton Candy (named Baby Karamell): http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/File:Baby_cherries_jubilee_MOC_back_card.jpg

However, on the wiki there is no other mention of this German variant, and I can't seem to find any images of her. The only other thing I can find is a mention of her on Strawberry Reef, without a photo: https://www.strawberryreef.com/Index/G1/Country/germany.html

Does anyone know if was she skipped in this German set, or is she simply the exact same as the regular release? I got really curious now :)

Pony Corral / Wave 11 blind bags in the UK
« on: December 03, 2014, 04:19:02 AM »
Someone commented on our website telling that the wave 11 blind bags are out in the UK (spotted at Tesco), but are in the 12-packs again.

Anyone spotted them as well?
If so, please share the bag codes and what ponies are inside so we can create a list for everyone who wants to hunt them :)

Pony Corral / Equestria Girls basic dolls with partly molded mane

I just found these in the Hasbro catalogue for the Brazilian region. They are called basic dolls with partly molded manes and a small lock of hair. The clothes are plastic and it seems that no accessories will be included. I expect that these dolls are Hasbro's attempt at making EqG more popular by selling these dolls at a low price (especially if you look at the simple packaging). Pony Corral / G4 My Little Pony Play-Doh coming soon
« on: August 28, 2014, 08:17:23 AM »
We've found 3 mysterious Amazon listings that don't have any image, price or release yet, but with very clear descriptions. The listings describe 3 sets of G4 Play-Doh sets: Make 'n Style Ponies, Rainbow Dash Style Salon Playset and Cutie Mark Creator.

The biggest one is the Make 'n Style Ponies description:
Quote
Make your own Ponyville world at home! With a rainbow of 9 Play-Doh colors, you can create all kinds of My Little Pony friends including Earth ponies, Pegasus ponies, Unicorns and Princess ponies. Create favorite characters from the hit cartoon including Princess Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and more! Use the 4 pony bases and book-molds to shape your ponies, then give them beautiful rainbow manes with the extruder. Make your ponies uniquely you with cutie marks and other accessories. Play-Doh and all related properties are trademarks of Hasbro.
Full descriptions: http://www.mlpmerch.com/2014/08/my-little-pony-g4-play-doh-coming-soon.html

Another neat thing is that these products confirm the new range of Hasbro product codes, starting with a B: B0009, B0010 and B0011.

So, anyone excited? I personally hope to see some images soon!

As you might have known already, me and TornadoTwist started a blind bag database on our blog MLPMerch.com.

Now we're trying to expand our database even more by adding scans of all available collector cards there are. This means that we use both US and EU cards of all blind bag waves.
We've already got a lot of scans from some fantasic people, but we're not quite there yet. We still need some scans to complete the collection, and that's where we need help!

Below is a list of blind bag collector cards we're still looking for. Do you have some, and would you be willing to contribute to our database? Then please make a scan of the cards you have and post them here or send a PM! We would be forever thankful and mention you as contributor in the blind bag database (if you want to). Note: except for wave 5, we'd like to have scans of both the front and the back :)

Here are the cards we're still looking for (cards that have been scanned will be removed from the list):

Wave 2 (front and back):
Pinkie Pie (EU)
Applejack (EU)
Rainbow Dash (EU)
Rarity (EU)
Twilight Sparkle (EU)

Wave 6 (front and back):

Wave 8 (front and back):

(Optional) All Wave 8 A and B cards (UK)

Pony Corral / New fashion style Princess Twilight Sparkle
« on: August 26, 2014, 08:41:36 AM »
The Rainbow Power fashion style Princess Twilight Sparkle that has been spotted on Taobao a while ago has finally popped up on the Kohl's website. This is not the same as the Twilight Sparkle with clip-on wings, as that one is 8 inch, this one is regular fashion style height. She comes in a pretty high box with lots of accessories.

Pony Corral / Hasbro POP ponies Wave 2 & 3 coming in September
« on: August 20, 2014, 02:48:51 AM »
While some stores start to sell the first wave of POP ponies, Hasbro has already shown the upcoming 2 waves of POP starter kits, all coming in September!

In total there will be 12 new kits, mostly consisting of mane 6 ponies with new hair molds, but also Cheerilee, Lyra Heartstrings and Amethyst Star.
Because of the high amount of images I will post only a few here, all the others can be seen on our blog: http://www.mlpmerch.com/2014/08/images-of-all-wave-2-and-wave-3-hasbro.html

Pony Corral / Looking for Wave 2 Blind Bag Images!!!
« on: August 14, 2014, 07:00:55 AM »
Me and TornadoTwist are building a Blind Bag database that will be both available on our site MLPMerch.com and an Android app.
We have almost all images images ready, most of which come from our personal collection and a few promotional ones from Hasbro.
However, we are also trying to contact someone who owns some Wave 2 images that are all over the internet, but we haven't got a response yet.

That's why I'd like to ask if there are other arena members who have the following Wave 2 blind bag figures, and are willing to take photographs of them:
- Feathermay
- Star Swirl
- Ribbon Heart
- Stardash
- Honeybelle
- Dewdrop Dazzle
- Rainbow Flash
- Pudding Pie
- Snowcatcher
- Rarity (Glitter)

We prefer images of them from the side, while they stand in front of a white surface (paper).
If you can provide these images, we'd be happy to add your name to the contributors list on the index page of our database :)

Thanks!

Pony Corral / Objects in plastic?
« on: August 11, 2014, 01:11:39 AM »
I received this Snails blind bag yesterday from eBay, and to my surprise there was this little piece of metal/plastic inside of his backleg. I've had a few ponies with smudges and so, but never one with what looks like a needle inside.
Have any of you ever had ponies with objects in the plastic like this? Any idea what this pin could be?

Pony Corral / Wild Rainbow CMC Brushables (Soon) at Target
« on: July 25, 2014, 10:53:27 PM »
As expected, Target will also get the CMC brushables as exclusives, but luckily they're sold as singles, so no need to buy the whole set.
I've posted some images below, but we've also got a blogpost with a backup of all photos (since they were found on eBay): http://www.mlpmerch.com/2014/07/wild-rainbow-cmc-brushables-in.html
Has anyone seen them in stores yet? Or did the eBay seller got hold of them early?

Pony Corral / Equestria Girls Doll Lockers and Pony Storage Purse
« on: July 24, 2014, 01:34:42 PM »
I believe these were previewed at one of the toy fairs a while ago (can't remember which one or in which video I saw it), but these doll and pony storages will probably be released soon: http://www.mlpmerch.com/2014/07/rainbow-rocks-doll-lockers-and-pony.html

Would you buy these and store ponies/dolls in them, or use them for other purposes?

When browsing russian merch blogs lately I kept on finding a few of these weird plushies and figures, but because it was all in Russian I ignored it for a while.
But today I decided to do a little bit more research and with the help of a reader of our blog I was able to find the collection of all merchandise produced by the Russian company called 'Plush Apple'. While their name suggest that they make plushies, it's only half their business. While browsing various websites I found items like figures, bouncy balls and even scooters with the earlier found figures on them! Their range of products was very intriguing, so I decided to write a blogpost on their products.
Besides showing you all the various products, I also have a little question. Has any of you ever seen these products outside of Russia? Because I couldn't find any info on non-Russian sites at all...
