I feel like I am always asking questions, I am so sorry Hey thereeeee. So, by now I think a lot of people can gather from my posts I've been finding G1s at a local vintage toy/game shop. I got the last G1 they have on shelves on Friday, a Brilliant Bloom who has been taunting me since my husband and I first discovered the shop. I had been shying away from buying her because of her being a Brush 'n' Grow because I thought her mechanism was broken (which it kinda works. Can't crank much of her tail in but it will and I can pull the tail back out), but also her overall condition from what I could see. Because she looks like she has a nice black eye. Which is under this spoiler coming up! I scrubbed her down with some Dawn and warm water and went at it with a Magic Eraser and I think it helped a little, but not a whole lot. I really can't think of what it could be other than maybe it's a huge 'age spot' or leached marker of some kind. (I can take a picture with flash if needed, to get a better look at it) I just want some guidance/advice of if this is something pretty bad or what. And if it is.. how do I go about treating it because I know it can be a bit delicate to open one of these up (between potentially breaking all the mechanisms and having to cut into the body to get them out), especially to get at her head, where this mark is.

My birthday was on the 6th and I got three ponies for it, two from my husband and one from a friend! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginBirthday Haul~! by kuraiicicle, on Flickr I got Bonnie Bonnets first from my husband via eBay and Dainty from our local vintage toy shop from my friend, before my birthday. Party Time showed up on Friday (won her right before my birthday haha) and I had to clean her up because of some internal plasticizer so I wanted to wait before making a brag post because of how well the people in my life know me, haha.

My husband got me a Party Time for my birthday, she had some issues via the auction but I was totally cool with them.
When I got her today she was a bit hard so I figured it was plasticizer leaking, even though she wasn't terribly sticky on the outside. And seeing some shadows inside of her I got a bit concerned that maybe something was missed by the seller (or by me in the description or pictures), so I popped her head off (previously pretty stuck on) and noticed she was SHINY inside... against my better judgement I stuck a finger inside and what looked/felt like glue came up (...it took like three 'washes' in some cooking oil before the stickiness came off my finger). Is this plasticizer leeching on the inside? I mean it smelled vaguely plastic-y, and her being a bit hard would certainly lead to it being that.. just want to be safe. Don't want it to be like something super serious and dangerous, after all!
And further.. is it smart to clean her out (and if so, with what?) or is it just safe to leave her be for now?

Just looking about for ponies on eBay, like I do when I'm bored. I found a pony that was a grail of mine for a long while (when I was originally collecting years ago!) and I set it to watch. My husband decided to try and snipe it for me as a Christmas gift . I present to youuuuuuu~! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginNight Glider by incendiaryxwit, on Flickr Night Glider! She has some flaws (some eye issues, mainly on the NDS and a blue ink mark on her NDS.. doesn't stand right (though that might be from travel and the heat) and some yellowing hair..) but she is still so gorgeous and I am so grateful for her! Really reminds me how much I love the Posey pose.. since my Posey is quarantined to a case to keep her (and her hair!) as mint as possible. [stickied 10/12/16 - kiwimlp ]unstickied 14/12

Kind of self explanatory title, but. Are there any ponies in your collection you have a sudden, new appreciation for? Whether it be because you didn't know you liked it when you got it (maybe it was in a lot, or an impulse buy because you saw it in a shop you never thought you'd see ponies there) or maybe it's a re-appreciation (you've had the pony for a while, but forgot why you liked it!). Mine is Locket! (Excuse my bad editing, my indoor lighting is atrocious and I didn't wanna fully edit the one decent pic I got xD.) I thought she was neat a few years back when I was new to collecting/still collecting, but I really only liked three TEs at the time (Mimic [my grail ], Fizzy, and Quackers) and my husband thought they were creepy. Buuuuuut, recently I found her at a vintage toy/game store and she was a SUPER impulse buy because I was so surprised to see a decent quality pony in person like that. And just, messing with her hair I realized what a sweetheart she was! I don't even have the heart to curl her mane like I had planed because of how sweet she looks under the curtain of hair.

To start, up until last week I haven't bought a single pony in like. Three years or so. Buuuut, in trying to find somewhere to sell some stuff and make some cash we were directed to a new vintage game/toy store that opened up. There were actually some G1s (mostly G3/G4s otherwise) and I instantly was hooked again.. went back like two days later and I grabbed one with trade credit (so I got her for $3 bucks). Then a few more days later got another with credit, again (Though she basically came out free). The fact I was able to find G1s in the wild for me was a brag enough, lol. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginplease excuse my shoddy crochet job on my 2DS case, yikes I just noticed that was the side i usedLocket was first and Lily was second! I was honestly, super surprised that they were just a little dirty and frizzy (Locket's tail needs another conditioning..). I was just so floored and happy that I had to share! At least I know somewhere I can be looking out in the future because these dang plastic horses are addicting.

So, I took to looking at some of my ponies that were in my husband's glass case a little bit ago (since they're in there I don't take them out often) and noticed some marks on my Flutterbye. The problem is I got her like 4 years ago and my memory is NOT good, so I can't recall if they were there when I got her (one by her symbol seemed familiar at least). Anyway, the pictures! There is also one on the under side, between the two front legs. My $600+ phone doesn't wanna focus right so I couldn't get a clear shot, and it's why that last one is blurry... They kinda look like pen/sharpie marks to me, but I really don't know? Luckily I'm able to pop her head off and I don't see any of the marks coming through on the inside. Just because my memory is just awful I don't recall them always being there and I'd rather get some other opinions on what it might be so I know what my options are.

Spoiler My fiance just recently purchased an item on eBay. Pretty routine for us, really. Seller messaged saying "Hey, are you sure you want this Parcel Post (the option the seller had had)? It might not get there in time for Christmas..." to which my fiance responded "So long as it has tracking and I get it, I really don't care. Because if you were looking to charge me more I'd be very against it, especially considering you are charging me almost $10 in shipping." Seller responded back saying they realized they had accidentally overcharged, and could send out priority and refund the extra shipping. All cool.
Messaged my fiance today with the tracking number, saying they refunded $2.40 then commented with (and this is taken directly from the message)
"Part of the listed shipping total includes EBAY'S 11% FEES charged directly on shipping costs. "
Now, if I remember correctly overcharging in shipping in an attempt tp circumvent eBay/PalPal fees is against the rules, correct? We just don't know what we should do, should we go to eBay.. let it be..? I know the seller cannot leave us negative feedback (and if they left a negative comment we can have eBay retract it), but my fiance would very much like this item and we aren't exactly looking for a refund just find this to be a bit shady. Any advice would be much appreciated!

http://www.buildabearsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=205BC5DA1E08CEBABuild-A-Bear is currently conducting a survey (they want parents of children between ages 3-12 to do this, but I'll be honest and say I fudged the truth...) relating to MLP: FiM plushies! I, personally, love Build-A-Bear products and I think if they do it right they will be GREAT quality plushies for snuggling! Figured I'd pass the message along for anyone that wants to do the survey and wanna hope, hope, hope like heck these get made!

So, the other day while looking for a Posey (who is one of my favorite G1 ponies) on eBay and being unsatisfied with the auctions I was finding (perhaps I was using wrong keywords or what, but rather problemed ones were popping up for me for pretty high prices) I stumbled upon a MOC Posey! I promptly bid in the last hour of the auction and won her~! Now I bought her for the purposes of opening her because the card looked rather bad from the picture (pretty yellowed plastic and a pretty big cut in the backcard) and I received her today! So here's some pic spam, I apologize if some of the images are hard to make out.. the plastic was MUCH more yellow in person. Just the lighting in this room + my camera are not amazing. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThis was her right out of the mailing box.. I was a bit worried because good old USPS had done a number to the priority box she was shipped in.. but at least the card wasn't any worse than I thought it would be. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginBack of the card, as you can see there's some marker marks on it.. and poor Glory was the causality of the card being ripped... visitors can't see pics , please register or loginEverything out of the box! You can tell here how yellow the bubble is, again it was a bit darker in person. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginScuff marks on her hooves from being in the packaging. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd a bit of a rub to her NDS symbol. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd I absolutely love her <3! No regrets for what I did! She's currently hanging out with my other flower ponies (I randomly ended up displaying my G4 Blossomforth, G4 Cheerilee, G4 Blind Bag Rose Luck, and SHS Flower Dream, ahahaha) and looks so pretty and just. AHHHHH I am so happy I wanna burst.
