what's the most random, weird MLP-related thing you're currently in search of?
mine is G1 sparkle Baby Firefly with a certain factory error. her mane is the normal blonde-yellow but her tail is the same color as Crumpet or Lucky Leaf's hair. I know she's a factory error because my childhood one is like this! I've also seen one for sale on Ponyology (but it was already bought) and I think I asked about her a few years back and someone said they'd seen/had one as well. I want to eventually replace my childhood ponies with collection pieces and she's just not Sparkle Baby Firefly without that gold tail!

I've been collecting since 2004 and this was my first Fair!  let's see...I got: - a bunch of G1s!! guys I was in heaven T^T
- a few G2s since I'm working on that aspect of my collection, and I got a deal on them lol
- a G3 that I've been wanting (Puzzlemint!)
- G3 sparkle fakies! I've had the blue one since they were in stores and I saw someone had three more!! it was such a surprise!
- some petite ponies (I have a ton from when I was a kid but I've been wanting to collect more, and after the talk on them Sunday morning I was like "welp I'm gonna go get a couple"
- two My Little Pretties kitties, a small side collection I'm slowing working on
- the lion from the Moondreamers line!! I've wanted him forever! I saw the bear but when I went back for him he was gone T0T
- white italian Tootsie and Brazilian Heart Throb, my first brazil pony!!!
oh and I got Bonnie Zacharle and Kirk Hindman to sign Sundance for me!  visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or logineveryone was so nice and I learned a lot at the panels/presentations, wish I could've made more of them. I'd love to go again next year but we'll see what finances are like... I did blow a whole paycheck on the ponies haha  but I met up with a friend that I haven't seen in a long time (and tbh barely ever saw irl!) who lives in Orlando, she took us to Disney Springs on Saturday night, so that was fun after the Fair closed for the day!

I asked in here a few months ago for a price check on mexican pegasus Baby Blossom. I've wanted her since about 2005, there's just something about her that captured my heart immediately. and I'm ecstatic to post that she is now in my clutches! and for well under the quoted pc I got here, which is even better. visitors can't see pics , please register or login"¡hola!"I wasn't even supposed to be browsing eBay because I was reeaally trying to not buy ponies on a whim, but I did out of boredom and she was there... ending in 45 minutes... at a really good price. sometimes you just "put" certain ponies together. she has been claimed! I have this girl on Etsy for $28 but I'm willing to haggle, I just want to get her to a new home!

~ her flocking is in pretty decent condition overall with the usual slight rubs to ears, wings, bottoms of hooves. there is a sort of nick/rub to her front legs though, please see pics!
~ her hair is fairly faded and seems on the thin side (even after a spa day) but I don't see any cuts or plugs missing.
~ her flocking seems to be stained from the glue in places, haven't given her an oxy treatment so that might help brighten her a bit if you wanna give her some tlc.

usually for christmas I just send my mom a big list of a bunch of pony listings that I'd like, since she doesn't really know anything about collecting and wouldn't know how much to pay or which ones I want or what quality I prefer. I got two ponies that I've been wanting for quite a while!! Sunbeam, who isn't a favorite but definitely a sort of "collection staple" that I've been meaning to add, and Magic Hat, who I've almost bought no less than three times in the last couple months lol. but the real surprise and the real star is my first nirvana, chosen by my boyfriend (he got my MLP wishlist from my sister!). visitors can't see pics , please register or loginargie Baby Blue Belle!!!I knew he'd be getting me a special pony for our first christmas together, but I never guessed it was going to be a nirvana! he asks so much about my ponies and my collection and about MLP collecting culture and etc etc, he's such a wonderful person who sincerely asks about my hobby and remembers almost everything I tell him. (that memory of his totally gets me in trouble sometimes though, not gonna lie lol! I'm learning to be more careful with my words and being less insensitive with stuff I say!)Sunbeam and Magic Hat are from my mom and they are GORGEOUS!! MH needs her hair groomed a bit as it's kinda messy but it's in great condition. her symbols are full and bright and they're not faded between the two modes (though the pic underneath doesn't really work anymore). I'm 32 years old and have, in the past during my adulthood, considered sitting down and playing with my ponies like I did when I was 6 (when no one is around, of course...) but I just can't do it, haha.
but I do get to enjoy them. "grown-up" play for me is taking really lovely photos of them. it lets me touch them and put them together, and lets me appreciate their appearance (and smell... I love that pony smell, nothing like it!) and try to photograph them in a way that tells their personalities!
I used to have a few miniature items for them to be posed with, but I have no idea where those are now; but I used to enjoy setting up scenes, like for christmas.
if I was more consistent in writing, I'd love to write a dramatic epic series of stories about the ponies in my specific collection/herd with my headcanons about families and relationships and personalities, but I am waaayyy too lazy for that!
do you just admire your ponies on the shelf? interact with them another way? or just sit down and play pretend like a kid? (no judgement, I wish I could do it but I keep cringing at myself!)

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginso I recently got hold of my childhood Cherry Merry Muffin and I'm soo happy to have one again! as you can see she needs a bit of cleaning up, but I'm concerned about her hair. it's crimped and I would hate to wash it out when I give her a quick gentle shampoo. I've really only ever worked with MLP hair, and never tried washing crimped hair. but hers is pretty messy (though a lot better than most CMM dolls I've seen for sale) and I'd love to clean her up. is the factory perm on a CMM going to hold up to a washing?

I haven't been here for a while haha.this girl was a grail for me for years and I finally nabbed one. unfortunately the seller made her look like she was in much better condition than she is. she's actually pretty dingy and has age spots. :\ in the pics, you can see one on the bottom of her display side hoof. BUT she does clean up well in photos with the power of a little bit of filters. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI started collecting MLP when G3 came out, and I just missed getting Autumn Skye in the stores. then she was always going for more than I was willing to pay for her, then the initial buzz of collecting died down and I wasn't acquiring ponies as often for a few years. I finally nabbed her, and I know it's just Autumn Skye and I could've gotten her sooner but I only just got around to it. and I just love her so much. Fair Weather is one that I never paid any attention to - I don't really like blue and purple together in almost any shades. but dang I've been seeing pictures of her lately and I suddenly couldn't stop thinking about her! so I went on eBay to get one for a couple dollars, but the seller also had Autumn Skye! I just got paid for a small art commission and it covered them and their shipping almost to the penny. can't wait to clean them up and take properly pretty photos of them!
