Pony Corral / What kind/type of dragon is G1 Spike in theory or canonically?

Yeah I know I've came across a conversation about G1 Spike looked more lizard like. Though honestly not gonna lie but I guess it also make sense since he's a baby dragon and all but then again I've at one point have talked about the Spike's family expansion in my last topic about "what if Weston kept appearing in other episodes" as well...

But what got me thinking about what kind/type of Dragon is G1 Spike?

Though some people have compared him to a Monitor Lizard since Monitor Lizards have ears but not exactly like the "Cat ears" that Spike have:

I mean to me I think he would be that type but then again I always think of a "Cat-like Dragon" for some wild reason.

But honestly I know that I'm not the only one who actually think about Spike being a "Cat-like Dragon" there's other dragons I've thought of fitting types at one point.

Like the Dragon Gang in "Spike's Search":

The appearances of the Dragon gang does have an Alligator-like appearance (also more of like King Koopa from SMBSS) so I've thought of them to be like "Alligator-type Dragons"

And there's also a dragon that has wings in one of the episodes but honestly nobody at one point talked about "The Monster" :

I know this is mostly a random thing to bring up and I've been quiet for the most of my months due to school and such.

But if there's anyone to know an answer for this question let me know in the replies.

Yeah... As you can tell by the title of this topic. I honestly felt like Weston needs more character development. Since obviously he's actually fits well along with Spike (being part of a duo perhaps)

For those who don't know who is Weston:

Weston is a baby eagle who wasn't been able to fly and separated once from his parents. He later joined along with Spike and Danny to find his parents... Well at one point Weston had went with Danny after Spike departed them to go to the so called "Dragon Gang" (then Spike regrets it after finding out that the Dragon Gang are actually bullies and stealing food from villiges) However in the end Weston stayed in Paradise Estate after a little while until his parents eventually found him.

But honestly I don't know if the Writers have given more depth or more character info reguarding Weston himself...

Overall there's some curtain characters that never reviled the age like Spike or any of the Bushwoolies or the Furbobs. I mean from what I've heard there's actually a Writers guide... Not sure if there's any character information in reguards of Spike or Weston however...

Honestly if Weston kept appearing in later episodes I guess he would be nearby Spike or maybe even when he decides to visit Paradise Estate...

Would be an interesting concept than having him as a one time appearance character...

But if anyone else have better ideas or anyone who has the writer's guide book of My Little Pony and Friends then let me know down in the comments/reply section on this topic...

Introductions / Hello everyone.

Honestly I wasn't sure if I should explain my description of myself publicly so I've went ahead and spoilered it just in case:

Hello, I'm TarkanDragon. I'm 18 years old overall I usually live in Turkey but I'm still considering about going to the U.S. since I'm more actually more comfortable due to my language.

Well right now I'm an intern and I also happen to attend school for the last year (I'm 12th grade by the way.).

I don't think I have important people in my life as of yet, so I can't tell much about that really.


Honestly I haven't consider collecting ponies but I honestly do consider collecting dragons mostly. However I don't have a big collection as of yet but hopefully it would not be a big problem since I'm kinda more of collecting dragon stuff...
Well for the generations of ponies that I collect... More than likely I collect G1 or G4 dragon figurines. Overall there's some toys that had ponies and dragons in one set but I usually don't mind.

What made me collect is that in 2017-2018 I saw a spike plush that I'd actually adore and wanted to have one before they ran out so... That where I began of collecting Dragon stuff from the My little pony franchise...

Overall not all the time that I usually collect stuff. But I also tend to make games or fan-games for that matter.
I don't have a full entire collection yet since I'm basically new at collecting but it may hard to get them due to the current situation that I'm dealing with along with the important exams.

And yes my recent favorite characters are G1 Spike, Weston, Smolder
and my least favorites are G4 Spike, G3 Spike, Princess Ember and the "Euro" G1 Dragons
