I just wanted to give people a heads-up on a transaction I had with courtneythepirate to warn people that she may not follow through on transactions. I do not take posting problems with other members lightly but this has taken way too long.
I contacted courtneythepirate back in July about purchasing the G2 nursery, and the pony and child sized tiaras from the Queen Sundancer Throne playset. I received everything but the pony sized tiara. She sent the one from the ballroom playset instead. I contacted her and she said that she would find and send the one for the throne even though she hadn't known that the one she sent wasn't the right one. I had to send a link from a collecting site to show the accessories. I sent the wrong one back to her and she said that she received it and she was sending out the right one.
It is now November and I have not yet received the other one and have no proof if she sent it at all as she said she sent it "snail mail" with a thank you card. I have sent her multiple messages about it and the last she responded was that she would check on it with her post office and has never gotten back to me. The was about a month ago. She has been on since that message and not responded to the messages I sent and has now not been on at all for almost a month.
I left her neutral feedback since I did get the bulk of the order but I am not very happy with the lack of communication and not receiving the other item.

I managed to put a set of the Walmart exclusive pack of blind bag ponies on layaway today! I was surprised to see them. They had at least 20 sets on an end cap in the toy section at the end of the pony aisle. Took a really long time to find a set that had "decent" paint jobs though. I even almost got a set where one pony was completely missing her symbol! So look out at your Walmarts!

So, I am curious for those who collect the vintage ones and had them as a kid or started collecting as an adult, who was your first? Who made you fall madly in love with G1 LPS?
For me, my very first was Happy Puppy with Puppy Carrier...he was so cute. I had him for awhile before I got more and I took him everywhere. After that I got all the mommy and baby sets and the Ticklish Toucan set and it just went on from there.
So tell me what got you into it?

So, are the prices on eBay the going rate for Frankie's and Draculaura's beds or is it scalpers? The lowest Coffin bed was $40 still bidding. I saw one at TRU in the Twin Cities over Labor Day and thought to grab it but decided against it and now I wish I would've because it was only $20. I want these playset pieces but don't think I want to spend that much on them

Are any of these dolls still available in stores? I have never seen them except the ones that come with playsets (Clawdeen and Lagoona) at TRU. I am starting to really like some of them and would like to know how hard they are to find/buy and how much they usually go for. Educate me please!

I just purchased this set and was wondering if anyone would be interested in the Ghoulia, Draculaura and colored Frankie that comes in it? I may consider keeping colored Frankie's swimsuit but not really sure. I really wanted this set for Cleo and Clawdeen. If I don't have any interest, I may just return it and try to buy those two separately. I would ask $12 for each doll plus shipping ($55 cost split by 5 dolls plus tax). If I kept Frankie's clothes I would just ask $6 for her nude since I know some people buy nude dolls.

I need a PC on Venezuelan Applejack. I have been offered one to buy but am worried about paying too much for her just because she is available and I want her soooo bad. The most recent on eBay have gone for $230 and $280. I have seen her in recent months go from $230-$500 and just don't know what to do. Is she one of the harder to find ones? I have been trying to find more on her by searching but having lots of trouble, I am guessing due to the newness of the Venny ponies.

I recently acquired quite a few dolls to jumpstart my collection after I wanted to regain my childhood CMM dolls. Then through Ghost of the Doll and Apanda's site, I have identified others that I want. I have gotten a bunch of others from members here and on eBay. So far I have:

Is anyone else on Monster High Collector? I just discovered it the other day looking for more info on MH dolls and it has great pictures of the dolls that have been release thus far with detailed descriptions of accessories, etc. It also has a forum, kind of quiet though. I was hoping if anyone was on there that we could connect there as well. It also has a neat feature that allows you to add a doll to your collection so you can keep track of what dolls and things you have.

Is anyone planning on getting this set? I saw it today and am really liking Clawdeen and Cleo but do not want to spend $55 for 2 dolls. I thought about getting it instead of getting the separate SS Ghoulia I was there shopping for but I don't like the way that they have Ghoulia's hair in the 5 pack and so far my collection is MIB. Also, I like the B&W version of Frankie better and do not want to be stuck with that one since I am not all that interested in her. Same goes for Draculaura...I like her in her single box but her hair looks silly in the 5 pack. Anyone having the same problem? All my dolls are so far MIB and even if I do take them out they will stay stock so I won't be customizing or changing clothes or anything like that.
Also, does anyone have the display case that fits 3 dolls? Is it made of plastic? I have debating getting one if I get dolls that do not come with stands. So far all of my dolls have stands I think but things like the above 5 pack do not.
