Pony Corral / G1 Withe VS G3 White
« on: October 22, 2012, 06:14:09 AM »
Were the G1 ponies EVER as white as the G3s?

Should I be concerned when I feel a G1 pony is White, but when placing it against a G3 looks really dingy?

I assume that G1 plastic and G3 plastic are about as alike as Apples and Banannas and therefore it is unrealistic to compare the 2 whites?

Any thoughts?

Pony Corral / Got McD0onald Ponies? A great Halloween treat alternative!
« on: October 09, 2012, 06:31:47 AM »
I have so many stinkin' McDonalds ponies that I think I can get away with not buying any Halloween candy and hand out 1 pony per treater!

...How would you like to see a large bowl of McDonalds ponies instead of candy?

A quick way to unload those unwanted McDonalds ponies... on the other hand if anyone is looking for G3/ 3.5 McDonalds ponies I have tons that I am willing to trade/sell... they just need to disappear somehow.

Pony Corral / Pony trivia: Genuine or Aftermarket?
« on: October 03, 2012, 09:32:06 PM »
I have not yet tried to clean her up, so sorry for the dirty photo. She'll be like new I clean her up!

Does anyone have the instructions for HT ponies? The instructions on Lady T's site do NOT show more than a single part of the instructions. Can anyone shed some light on the legitimacy of this sticker?

I do NOT collect HT ponies, but if this is Legitimate and since I am a set completionist- I may just start collecting them! I already own ALL their accessories...

Pony Corral / Pony Points: do they hold any value? Does anyone collect them?
« on: September 11, 2012, 06:41:38 AM »
Are there any collectors of pony points (that have expired)

I have points from GEN 1, 2 & 3 does anyone collect them? Are they worth trying to sell/trade or should I just toss them?... or rather RECYCLE them?

Should I ask the seller to take their own photos or report the listing to e-Bay?

What do I do here?

AND this is NOT the person who bought my pony, not even in the same country!

ETA: Anyone have any suggestions on water marking photos?

Pony Brag Arena / Winding down the summer with a brag of epic proportions!
« on: September 03, 2012, 03:00:11 PM »
.... And I got tired of taking photos. I have so much more to add!

This has been a very busy summer for me. I have made huge sacrifices and spent more $$$$ than I want to admit!

We will start with the babies as they are my all favorites... a few Cuddles for the army. My first MOC I received in a swap- no intentions on becoming an MOC collector either. I completed the German nesties, but I know finding their accessories will be a nightmare.

Now moving on to Little Litters- I fell in love with them and just began to collect these- I paid no more than $5 each (with the exceptions of Suzie's Spot of course)

Now the G4 pets... not quite as cute, but still addicting!

While I am not too fond of the Adult ponies I love ALL of these- I even think Midnight Dreams could be my current favorite, even though I do NOT consider myself a G3 collector...

Finally rounding out my first batch of photo taking with accessories... by far the most fun & challenging part of collecting! I love accessories more than the ponies them selves!

Wait until you see my massive brush/ comb acquisitions!

This is all for now however.

Pony Corral / Wilton Pony Cake Pan 1986 2105-2914
« on: August 19, 2012, 06:50:33 PM »
I went to a garage sale and picked up the pan with the instruction sheet & color inlay for $2! (And NO, I will NOT be selling it in the near future!!!!!)

Why does this often mistaken cake pan so often go so high when it is not "official" MLP merchandise?

This auction was actually one that ended reasonably low:

Pony Corral / PP Daisy Sweet: Yellow hair Vs White hair
« on: August 09, 2012, 07:26:53 AM »
I just got an urge to collect the Perfume Puff set....

Is it possible to tell a faded yellow hair Daisysweet from a white haired one?

Also how much can I expect to get from a Sweet Lilly that has a hair cut? the tail is so short it looks like a rabbit tail! I know I've heard people talk about wanting to rehair these ponies w/ "normal" hair..

Not sure if this is a rant... probably more of jealously issue in all honesty.

What are your thoughts on pony flippers?
Are there sellers that you personally abandon?

I suppose we are all guilty of buying ponies in lots and selling our extras.

My biggest rant is Ponies & Petals, while I must admit she has a way of beautifying ponies... is she a flipper or a collector?

Nearly all her feedback as a buyer is from the Delaneys.

Ponies & Petals won the FULL set of perfume puffs for $63 from the Delaneys and sold them individually for nearly $40 each. Why do the ponies that ponies & petals list sell for so high and I can barely sell mine for the starting bid?

Sorry if this is out of place for me to rant in public like this, but I really want to know if Ponies & Petals is a reseller- or a serious collector.

This is the list from one of the auctions:

I sell My Little Ponies 6 days of the week, some are still from my personal collection of what I have left.  If you don't see what you want, please email me and I may have the pony you need.

No wonder it is called EVILbay!

Greetings,

I just acquired Susie's dog spot! I fell in love with the little litters!

I just won 2 lots that each had 4 of the tiny baby sized animals- I spent a total of about $30 including shipping (at total of 8 pets).

How many pets total (Mostly I am just interested in the tiny ones)?

How much should I expect to pay each (for the more common ones)?

I know there were a couple of cute playset ones that can get very pricy- what about those? How much do they run?

Please feel free to post your collection to make me drool!

Finally anyone willing to trade or sell me some for a reasonable price please message me!

[moving to Off Topic ~ many thanks ~ hathorcat]

I do apologize to the 3 people who were watching my baby bait listing. The auction has been ended/ cancelled. A trade went bad and one of the ponies in the photo was already traded (but accidentally not shipped)... I am guilty of bidding on auctions based on photos rather than descriptions; and I didn't want another disappointed sale/ trade to deal with...

I already had a bid, the 1 bidder was notified (and a member here), we have worked out a partial trade/ sale here, so it all worked out in the end. Please know they will not be re-listed and sorry to those who may also have been interested.

This was an honest mistake on my end.

Pony Corral / Is this an accurate ending value?
« on: June 27, 2012, 05:22:59 AM »
Pony prices seem to be all over the place, and apparently I can see the reason many do NOT allow "0" FB bidders...

Please tell me this is NOT an accurate ending value:
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p4340.l2565&rt=nc&item=221052021047

Is the market just crazy these days? I saw the mother sell in a couple of auctions for 100+ I think even $150+

Cotton Candy selling for $20+ IN MULTIPLE AUCTIONS (AND MINE ONLY SOLD FOR THE OPENING BID...)- wow sorry for caps lock...

I know we have another thread on this already, but what kind of trends are other there? I know ponies & Petals ALWAYS gets great prices on their ponies- many other sellers have equally good (or better) conditioned ones and only get about 1/3 the cost... did you see that buggy go for $46? I sold one for under $8 (but it was missing the heart topper)

Then there was this spectacular accessories lot ton of accessories I tell you- ended at just under $125 (110)!

Are there any current trends?

Pony Corral / Selling Ponywear on ebay- display on pony or not?
« on: May 19, 2012, 08:54:36 PM »
I am having on heck of a time selling my ponywear on the arena... Mostly I have the common ponywear, so most of you probably already have it all.

Does selling ponywear on ebay do better if it is displayed on a pony (pony not included) or just pictured by it's self?

I have a full suitcase (The blue one with the DC and a bunch of early pegs) of ponywear and another one about half full of shoes. If you can't picture that try to picture a 40# bucket of cat litter. I am swimming in ponywear and shoes.

If you want to save my ponywear from EVILbay I will offer 35% off listed price. My shoes are not listed in my sales yet if you need any please let me know what you need.
