Pony Brag Arena / My latest additions brag thread
« on: December 19, 2014, 02:46:27 PM »
I just came home to a big box from ebay I have been looking forward to all week! So the other night I happened to  search for"pony lot" and came across this auction:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Large-Lot-Of-Used-G1-My-Little-Pony-/231417920651?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=IdhaTmzYZ23wNXEDahShYXaPxig%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

See anything special??
This is what I got:

The pics weren't very detailed, but I did spy a weird looking Peachy hidden in the back. Based on the symbols and color, it was a Peachy, but different. Seeing the condition of the other ponies and reading that they needed care, I took a chance not knowing what shape to expect her in.

IT'S PIGGY PEACHY!!!!

I couldn't believe it when I spotted it in ebay US. This is the second Piggy I won off ebay from a non collector! It makes the total of 4 piggies I currently own!

She's actually still got her eyelashes, but as you can see from the pic she is unfortunately in sad shape :(. Both ears have been sawed off along with middle section of her mane. Her right eye doesn't shut without help when put on her side, but left eye still works! I love her regardless of her flaws! She'll be a great addition to my herd.
There was also a Dream Beauty in the lot that I didn't have yet:

She has some discolor places on her plastic, but she should look real nice once cleaned up and spa treatment. I love my latest haul and think I did pretty good price wise given the rarity of piggies and Dream Beauties. Hope you like the pics!!

For Sale - For Auction / 3/7 UPDATE! Ponies and more on ebay!
« on: December 14, 2014, 07:46:08 PM »
I'm going through all my duplicates and will be adding much more. Prices negotiable and always happy to provide more pics or details. I can only hold a pony for 48 hours unless a planned pay date is agreed upon. I'd like to keep sales in US only due to having to mail international packages out of town, but will ship internationally as long as buyer is okay paying the quoted shipping cost. Prices based on Ebay ended auctions and include paypal fees. I describe the biggest flaws like hair cuts or spots or symbol rubs. If there is a flaw you're curious about, pm me and I'll take a closer look since all collectors have different views of flaws. Ponies have had a light hair wash and magic eraser only. Any further cleaning or restoring is left up to next owner. Enjoy :)

I've started to list some stuff on ebay and will be adding more in the coming days.

Wanted! / Wanted. Piggy ponies!
« on: December 10, 2014, 03:40:53 AM »
I'm looking for another Piggy pony or two to add to my herd. I'd like to pay no more than $350 for one. I don't need mint so dirty, some marks or messy hair is fine, but i'd like them to have a few eyelashes left, eyes still blink and symbols. I already own a Snuzzle, Cotton Candy and Blossom so any others are welcomed.

(Not sure if I classify this as a "problem" but more of a just curious question so I put it in off topic, but mods feel free to move if you think otherwise)

I've been debating rather or not to see someone who can officially diagnose me to see if I do have mild autism or some other disorder. I want to ask those of you who have aspergers syndrome if you have certain things that you don't like. For instance, yesterday morning, my brother and I went out to eat breakfast. I got a waffle and a pancake and some strawberries to go on top, but realized I accidentally put warm strawberries and not cold ones on my waffle. The warmness and dough of the waffle and pancake affected me in a way that I never want to eat that combination again and don't want to think about it. I don't know how to explain it. It just wasn't a good combination of hot and cold. It has happened with other food types. I don't like ice cream with cobbler. I don't like hard lumps in grits, I can't stand my own hair being down for fear it will get in my food as I'm eating or cooking. I hate the sound of certain car engines unless I'm driving them, then I'm fine. Someone who's very dear to me on twitter and been following me for months just unfollowed me and now I'm wondering if I did/said something wrong when I wasn't even directing a question to them. That really hurt me and I know it shouldn't because it could be an accident? People I talk with at work I want to make sure I'm in good standing with them so I try to socialize or whatever with people and make them laugh. Other times, I want to say "I don't care what people think" and just be a b*&$# I don't know... I just feel different.

Pony Corral / Any thoughts on why this lot ended high??
« on: November 30, 2014, 10:08:11 AM »

I was watching this lot from the start hoping to snag it for the Cotton Candy item in it. Anyone know what it's supposed to be? I lost, but would love to know what drove it so high? That bidder kept bidding it up. I know it's the holidays, but are the g1 birthflowers popular? Congrats anyway to the winner if they are a member here.

Off Topic / I want sto understand something relationship wise...
« on: November 22, 2014, 11:32:00 AM »
I've never been very social when it comes to getting out and knowing people so my knowledge of how interest in others is not good. I'm trying to understand something like this: If a guy who has a bunch of friends, many of which are female, some married, some single, drops hints about wanting to find a girlfriend or if they ever get married on social media, then how come they don't get with one of the female friends that is supposedly single? Can a guy have lady friends they know through work on social media and just be friendly? Is it like me and other males where I just talk to them but there's nothing about them that makes me attracted to them. So do the two people have to have equal attraction to one anther in order to develop a relationship? It's something I'm trying to figure out since the guy I like and want to ask out has lots of buddies they are mostly work buddies or people he's known for many years and he hasn't met me in person yet. I'm hoping to change that in the future when I get another chance to see him at a convention. Hope I made myself clear enough in what I wanted to know.

Off Topic / NYCC 2014
« on: October 01, 2014, 09:55:53 PM »
I want to go next Saturday, but know nothing about getting tickets online. They sold out on the site, but there's some on ebay, but how do you know they are legit and is it legal for people to resale them? I live in NC and wonder if anyone else in the surrounding area is planning to go in case my dad can't come with me.

Pony Corral / Poor Daddy Appe Delight:(
« on: September 18, 2014, 11:13:10 AM »
I got a Daddy Apple from a lot ponies and he had on the pink saddle and bridle that was put on by his previous owner. I took it off and he has the pink highlighter rubs (saddle sores) all on his back, his face and underneath him. Is there any way to sun fade him? Any success from others in removing the saddle sore? I have read about the damage that can be done by leaving shoes and other accessories on ponies, especially white ones, but this is the first time I encountered it in person. Here are some before and after pics:

Trader & Shipping Support / paypal charging buyers fees now?
« on: September 17, 2014, 10:00:06 AM »
I haven't been buying much lately with so much stuff going on in my life now (school, work etc) and only recently made a purchase from another member for a few accessories I needed. I logged onto paypal and noticed they have again changed their look. I went in to send money to the person who is in Europe and it included a .50 fee to the buyer for using a bank account. Is this something new or did i do something wrong since I haven't logged into paypal in months?

I got home from work and found a beat up box on my porch with return to sender on it from someone in Argentina. It was a lot of ponies sold late last year. I never got any notice of non delivered item on ebay from any members so am not sure what to do now. Can I access my records on paypal since the ebay auction is past 90 days? This is so strange and I'm not sure what to do as this is a first for me??  Anyone else have this issue and how did you resolve it??

Wanted! / anyone selling unwanted dolly hair?
« on: June 28, 2014, 08:25:22 PM »
I'm looking for various colors of any unwanted hanks or whole hair. I'd especially like hair matches for green haired Argie Surprise and Brazil Truly. Other colors accepted too.

Trader & Shipping Support / Advice on how to ship a lot to Japan
« on: June 02, 2014, 01:53:24 PM »
So the winner of one of my auctions happens to be from Japan and I don't know how I'm going to ship these ponies to the buyer without losing a lot on shipping cost. The stupid shipping service estimate on ebay calculated it as costing 3 times less than it actually will cost to ship in a box. I've thought about sending them in separate envelopes to hopefully offset the cost, but this is really a pain for me and I may reconsider just making my ebay auctions US only for now on to avoid getting cheated.  Does anyone have any advice on shipping to Japan? Even though I know I'm going to have to eat some of the cost, I would like to know if shipping them in large envelopes would work as it was a bait lot anyway. The lot was about 40 ponies in various sizes.

MLP Nirvana / PC Brazil Love Melody
« on: May 24, 2014, 08:44:36 AM »
I have a poor condition Brazil Love Melody I'd like a pc on and also am looking to sale. I know I overpaid for her probably. She has a cut mane and tail and will need rehairing to make her look better, but I'll leave it to the new owner. Also, some rubbing to her symbols. What can  I ask for her in this condition.
Pictures can be found here of ponies:
http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,354520.new.html#new

Italy Flutterbye:
Hair is choppy looking at ends, tail may have a slight cut, small symbol rub to non display side of one butterfly, tiny drop of orange paint to display side eye (factory flaw?)

Mexican Applejack:
tail is more frizzy than mane and dry at ends, mane hair feels rather thin, minor rubbing to symbols

Also sticking my non US wish list on here again in case there is something I can trade for.
Ponies don't have to be mint. I don't want ponies that have been rehaired, hair cut to the point it's a buzz cut, missing tails, cancer, mold, chewed up or missing limbs. Don't mind head and body color mismatch :)

Pony Brag Arena / Petites aplenty, plus other brags
« on: May 21, 2014, 10:32:42 PM »
I found this auction on ebay a couple of weeks back of a huge lot of pony petites that seller stated some were glow in the dark. I didn't have any of them and think they are rad so I bid and won! I got the package last Friday and with excitement tore through the small box to see what was inside as it was hard to tell by the photos. I laid them all out on my bed and used an online guide to id them and was amazed to find I didn't have a good amount of them. I now have an almost complete set of glowing magic and bright sight petites, minus two from each set.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/47123940@N06/14055555179/

I also discovered I was missing 5 of the regular US ponytail petites from my collection:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/47123940@N06/14262373933/
Only four made the photo ><

Their hair is pretty wild and frizzy and the symbols are intact on most, but there are some with rubs and and one of the bright sites (palm tree) has her symbol completely worn off. Poor thing. Maybe I can repaint it? Sucks the petites are so prone to symbol wear. I tried the glowing magic ones to see if they glow, and the really do! I'm so happy to have so many new petites! I paid just over $200 for the lot with shipping. With over 40 petites, that comes out to about $6 a petite, much cheaper than what I found on ebay being sold by resellers. I think I did pretty good, but don't care about the monetary value as these will be a part of my personal collection.

I also got my very first MOC Mexican pony. The box was very beat up so I went ahead and freed her., a baby North star which is an upgrade to my other one.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/47123940@N06/14219042966/

That's all the brags I have for now. Hope you enjoy the pics! :)

I'm not sure who to talk to personally about this and hope this doesn't make me sound like a weirdo but last night when I tried to go back to sleep after staying awake a few hours to watch tv in bed, I began feeling 'funny'. It was after 3:00 in the morning. I had my laptop playing a movie in the background as it helps me to relax better, but nothing in the movie provided the scenario for what happened to me. I felt like I was in between sleep and being awake. It was as if I couldn't breath and I thought I was dying. Don''t know how long it lasted as I woke up again after 4:00 to go to the bathroom and remember having a dream where I saw my mom in a nursing home, but not like the one she was in when she was sick. It was different. I got to hug her and everything! She was glad to see me! That's all I can recall after waking up. It was very strange. I wish I could recall more as I'm very intrigued by things that happen in the dream realm and sleep. Does anyone know what could have happened to me. I don't usually have these episodes or if I do I don't remember them. I've always wished I could have a camera record my sleep movements. Should I talk to someone who specializes in sleep?
