I'm in the middle of my first Arena trade and was just wondering are there and do's and don'ts to consider when trading, and am I going about it right? I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing- I sent clear pictures of the ponies in question, then when the trade was set I also took pictures of them in their packaged state and a pic with the box and senders address on which I asked them to confirm was correct- after posting the package I also got a receipt for the postage payment in case anything should go wrong there. Have I covered it all?  I really want to make sure my trade partner knows they can trust me as a trader

UPDATE- Thanks for the advice everyone, I went ahead and bought her at that price, thanks again!  Hey all! I'm a pretty new collector so I'd appreciate some advice- I've found a Nightglider online asking for euro 7.50 (That's about 10 dollars), and she looks absolutely pristine in her photographs. The seller has described her as "in good condition! Beautiful soft hair, just has a few small brown little dots....." Should I be jumping at the chance to buy her this cheap, mysterious dots and all? I honestly can't see even the tinyest dots on her photo's which in a way makes me nervous about buying? What would you do? x

I love video games, have done so my whole life. My favorite types are RPG but I dabble in all sorts of games past and present. Are you a gamer, and what are you playing? I'm currently playing Tales of Graces F and Beyond Two Souls (I'm the gheeeerst haha playing with my bf ;D )

My sister in law asked me to try and clean up her two G1 childhood poines for her, which of course I did my best with. Boy oh boy though they were covered in mold and grime and cancer spots, and her Yellow Moondacers in particular hair and tail are cut soooo short! So I really tried my best but Moondancer is just horribly stained from the dirt and red dye from her hair, and even after all of my scrubbng and trying she doesn't even really give me much of a thanks- just makes comments on how she wants Moonstones hair to look perfect and sit nicely- hello, there's only so much I can do to something really damaged and short! I think she was expecting them to end up looking shiny and new like mine, but Ive never had ponies in such bad condition to clean up before- I don't buy really baity ponies with extremely cut hair for that exact reason- I just don't have the experience to really fix that. Urgh! End of rant

I've been browsing my way through a lot of the threads here on the Arena and I've noticed the term "common" G1 ponies mentioned an awful lot. I'm a very new collector so to me right now, I don't really know what's common or rare- so I was just wondering if there's a list of common ponies out there, or if perhaps you Ponypeeps could write down here some of the most common ones you know of? I was thinking as a new collector with not necessarily the biggest of budgets, it might be a good idea to keep an eye out for these more "common" ponies to start with, and see how that goes. Thanks for any help!

Hey all! I'm quite new to collecting, and even newer to the Arena and how to trade, so here goes! I have two G2's XCupcake and Skyskimmer with minor problems. Cupcake has two pen dots on her feet and Skyskimmer has a very small "scratch" above her eye but otherwise they are perfect. I don't really know the worth of the G2 and G1 ponies but would like so swap for a G1 in similr condition if that's done I live in The Netherlands. Hi all! I'm an Irish gal, living in The Netherlands and have finally, after many years of yearning, started my collection of MLP's! I am really interested in the G1 ponies. I can't wait to get to know some fellow pony fans and see the ponies that are out there to buy and trade
