Pony Corral / Getting time to spend with your ponies« on: January 28, 2020, 05:24:57 AM »
Do you wish you could spend more time with your ponies and what projects would you do if you had more time?
I've been really missing my ponies lately. I've got 4 massive black bins and the only place to store them is right in front of my display case which is overfull. I've nearly moved house several times in the last year and I'm just hoping that one day I'll be able to set up the displays that I planned and enjoy them. The best fun I had with my collection was creating diorama and writing very short stories of the kind that were on the G1 story tapes. I really hope to be able to do that again one day soon, I only managed to complete two so far. In the meantime I'm focusing on collecting those few h(er)tf ponies and enjoying the arena. 66
Pony Corral / My Little Pony Food Items« on: December 19, 2019, 02:39:21 PM »
I'm just wondering has anyone ever made any particular My Little Pony food items, whether or not they exist in real life... did they turn out nice and do you have a recipe? For example:
Kiwi Tart Butterscotch Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Breeze Triple Treat Wondermint Peachy Pie Marshmellow Coco Sparklesnap Pepperberry Coconut Cream Lolligiggle Autumn Crisp Boysenberry Pie Lickety Split Creamsicle Coco Berry Blueberry Baskets Lemon Treat Mint Dreams Caramel Crunch Apple Delight Merry Treat Sweet Pocket?! Honey Pie Chocolate Delight Strawberry Scoops etc. I know, I know everyone is trying to cut down on sugar but I just feel like this might be a fun to do in the holidays. That said, could 'Sea Winkle' be some kind of shellfish?! Edit: Just remembered Port-o-Bella. Another thought: what is Pinkie Pie? I'm not sure i'm that inventive but it's worth a thought. 67

Off Topic / Honeymoon fund as an alternative to a wedding list...« on: August 30, 2019, 02:03:17 PM »
Hi ponies, I'm getting married soon but we don't really need any stuff. However, people have asked about gifts so I thought maybe we could set up a 'just giving type page for our honeymoon so people could choose to donate a bit of cash if they want to. What do you think? Do you know of a website we could use?

Pony Corral / Oxyxlean and pony hair« on: August 12, 2019, 01:37:02 PM »
Can you help to remind me please... Did we decide that oxyclean damages nylon pony hair, or was it just the bright colours?

Pony Corral / Post cute pics of 'disliked' ponies here!« on: August 12, 2019, 01:34:17 PM »
I should start but I need to dig out my old hard drive and find photos. I personally don't mind the Tootsie pose and like Merriweather and Tootsie a lot. I also LOVE those neon 90's ponies. If anyone has any pictures of ponies mentioned in this thread http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,396256.30.html I would love to see them!

Off Topic / Child Equipment« on: July 26, 2019, 07:35:38 PM »
I was thnking about what Honeycomb and Nessa were saying about babies and baby related stuff. We are minimalists, but I realise that doesn't work well with a child. I get really anxious about every tiny thing that comes into my house. I more or less have a 'one in, one out' policy. Except for ponies, ha!
Anyway, in 6 months time we are expecting a baby. I would appreciate any advice you might have about what stuff is really necessary. We are expecting to purchase: Cot, will make mobile. Mum already made quilt. Mattress for cot. Other sheet, blanket. Baby Bath small trolley for baby changing stuff Will change baby on top of chest of drawers in baby bedroom, changing mat. Pushchair/car chair system, not sure what yet Supply of onesies Nappies although not sure about nappy system yet, willing to try and reduce dusposables, any suggestions? Supply of muslin cloths for feeding Plastic bottles, steriliser and sterilising tablets, thing that sucks the milk out of you... hoping to breast feed although not sure about feeding system yet Massive bras with boob-doors Later on: Potty High chair Plastic eating things for after weaning Toys I daren't look for stuff on the internet because you just get a load of click bait/adverts and also I can't talk to my Mum and sister about it because my Mum had us in the 70s and my sister has loads more money than me! Please let me know what you think! 73
Off Topic / Breakfast Cereal« on: July 26, 2019, 07:19:54 PM »
Do you eat breakfast cereal? I heard the other day that it's not that common in the rest of the world. Can this be true? If you eat cereal, which country do you live in and how do you eat it? I just had granola and a spoonful of seeds with mango juice topped with yogurt and strawberries. I also sprinked Turmeric on the yogurt, if you've never tried this it's really good.

Pony Corral / Decided not to bait...« on: April 18, 2019, 04:53:10 PM »
I have an boy pony with a partial buzz cut, tail rust, very yellowed, initials on his ear in marker. I was looking for a really rough bait to make a Baby Minty boy, but I've gone and bought the wrong guy I think. I suspect that I could clean him up and he would be passable and not bait. I could tidy up his mane or even re-root the first few plugs and give him a hair do like Lucky. I often buy baits and they just pile up because I almost always realise I could restore them. The problem is that I'm not sure it's worth the effort. I already have these ponies in much better condition my collection and I'm not sure that anyone else would be interested in adding restored ponies to thier collection. In the past, I've kept a restored a pony then sold my previous one in better condition to save space but I don't want to swap too many more like that especially with hair cuts. I don't think anyone would knowingly buy a nicely restored pony with re-rooted hair, touched up paint or that has been sun faded... or am I wrong?
