I can't believe I actually found some ponies at my local Goodwill! Glory, Firefly, and Seashell. I'm not currently collecting G1, so I plan on using them as baits.  I also ended up buying a few new G4 fillies (on sale!) for baits and those new chibi-like Moondancer and Minty for my collection (I love Minty so much!).

Firefly is defiantly baity (her tail is rusted lose and has some minor marks), and Glory also has minor marks on her, but Seashell is in pretty great condition. She smells a little soapy, so I suppose she could use a wash (and that may mean future rust tail issues, though there currently is no evidence), but otherwise she is about perfect! If anyone would want to trade me a baity Bubbles pose and another random bait, I would be willing to trade (PM me for more pictures if you like). If I don't hear anything for a while, she may be going to the bait pile though (I love the pose!).

I miss that beautiful old head mold.

I loved the smiles on the equal symbol ponies, so I decided to try making one! I'm not entirely happy with the paint job on the face, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with it!

My next project is going to be another session five character, but I think I will save her for surprise and perhaps enter her in the pony fair. Who could it be...  or who would you want to see next?

Here's my latest custom! My partner had suggested that abandoned places could be an interesting idea for a fantasy theme. I also think abandoned places are sort of mystical, especially if they're overgrown with new life. I thought adding a fairy bringing life back into the broken place would complete the look's fantasy feel.

So for the Art Swap, I decided to try out an idea I've had for a while; Crystal Rarity. Here's how she turned out!

She was supper fun to make. After I had the hair up in straws and dry, I used glitter blast for a base and used glossy modge podge to attach the hexagons. I then removed the pins and straws and used superglue and scissors to adjust the style of the hair. That allowed some of the glitter blast to create glittery highlights in her hair! When She was dry of everything I sealed her up with Testor's Dullcote.

I'm a bit of a beginner, so it was such a privilege to find a private swap partner! I'm glad she said she likes them! Keep an eye out for her creation if she posts, because I received AMAZING works of art from her. Definitely beyond a beginners level.

I'm absolutely in the Halloween spirit after this project, receiving such and amazing box in return, and seeing all your creations on the custom board! Halloween is an excellent time to be apart of this forum.

So I'm somewhat new here on the forum and would like to both build my feedback and make a Halloween themed custom. Anyone else in the same boat? I just finished two swaps (one private Disney swap and one HP Custom swap), so I think I'm ready to take on another one. I really like the in-progress Halloween swap, but I'm not quite qualified, so I was hoping to maybe find someone in the same position. I'm not prepared to pay international shipping with my finances, but anywhere in the US would be good. I'm only collecting G4 right now, and I've only worked on G4s, but I'm willing to try working on other generations for my swap partner if you're willing to be my first other-generation custom.

I am a beginner to customizing. I have rehaired a lot, I'm getting decent at painting, and I've done minor sculpting (sanding is still a skill I'm building). I would like someone who wouldn't mind my skill level and maybe would be able to match it. It would be something simple, but hopefully fun for both of us!
