I popped into Big W today and just about squealed when I found the new design G4 ponies on the shelf. I got one of each because their poses are so cute. Unfortunately they weren't in the system yet and had no price tag, so when I went to pay the staff had trouble. I've had this happen before but I've never had it take so long, it took them more than 10 minutes to look up the ponies on their computer and let me pay.

But oh well, they're having a condition right now and I can't wait to display them! (In my very limited space)

UPDATE: More new ponies! Mr Toys Toyworld had these for $17 each. I only got Pinkie because of the price as I thought she has the cutest accessories.

I've never had one of those Cabbage Patch Crimp n' Curl ponies so I can't say if they're similar. Their hair is waxy and stuffed into two slits, but it's not all waxy, some strands are clean wool. I was debating going back for the other two if I really liked Pinkie... I don't know about these ones (I'm just imagining the cat hair getting stuck to her mane already)

Okay, I had to show off the hairstyle I gave her... because it took so long! The back of the box has this written "Results vary with child's age and skill level", oh boy!

Each time I got a curler in place and started the next one the previous one started to droop from the weight. These pics also show the ratio of waxed/clean wool hair. I think this gimmick would have worked way better on a FS sized pony and I'd love to see the new designs in that size!

Overall as much as I would have liked to get all three I'm glad I stuck to just Pinkie (my rule is generally 'If I'm only getting one, get Pinkie to represent MLP')

Long story short: a few months back I finally moved out of the family home, but where I was moving in I couldn't take my dog or my collection. My parents agreed to let me store my collection in my old bedroom and take care of my 7 year old dog, he's mostly blind so it's best to leave him with familiar surroundings and people who can be there for him more. I'm still sad but it's for the best. 
Before I left I got my dog used to sleeping alone in the living room (he slept in the bed with me for years) which was working great for a while... But recently my mum has noticed a change in his sleeping preferences.

I guess he finds them comforting in some way, lucky they're 2nd hand and he's cute.

I know people have asked the question of where to buy nylon hair a million times, and I know the typical answers, but can any Australians give me advice on where is the best place to buy to deliver down under? (I don't like the sound of $20 postage for a single hank) 

I've got a few projects planned that I hope to start in the next few months, but I've no idea how much hair I'm going to need and might need to order more on the fly. I don't know of any hair suppliers in Australia, so what do fellow Australians use and recommend?

Sorry if this specific question has been asked before, I've never seen advice strictly for Aussies as far as I can remember.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of resources that would help me in my hunt of the rarest Sweetie Pups? If there is perhaps a forum more oriented towards connecting collectors of all vintage toys? Or Facebook groups I could post wanted ads on?

I am very close to finishing my collection, however some of the pups I have left to find I have never even seen photos of besides their promotional images on packaging. So finding them MIB may very well be impossible, and loose might take me a lifetime. Hence why I am asking for any help or advice from the community.

I haven't shared many customs lately, nor have I done a lot (life has been busy lol), but I did want to show off a few little somethings I did quickly.

My boyfriend and I collected an entire set of Kinder Ponies & Equestria Girls and we only ended up with a few doubles, so I made a them into Poseys for my army. 

Here we have her made from a Fluttershy - filled wing hole and painted symbol.
An Equestria Girl - repainted body & details.
(nevermind the old blindbag) 
And a Twilight - filled wing hole, FBR & painted details, given a new tail.

Gosh do I hate painting tiny little eyes lol

I also just remembered that I actually made a pony for my boyfriend. I had a Powder I'd rehaired purple but hadn't ever given symbols, and his favourite colour just so happens to be purple so... I made a 3D symbol of a fire in a jar, because his gamer name is Firejar. 
He supports my collecting but was surprised that I'd made a pony for him, she lives with the small herd we're collecting on our computer desk (the rest of my collection has gone into storage until we move properly).

I know, this must be the millionth thread of it's kind, so if linking to other topics is more appropriate I understand.

I'm seeking advice on the absolute 'Dos and Don'ts' of putting ponies in storage.
With particular focus on long term storage in the hot/humid Australian climate. I'm possibly going to be moving somewhere I can't take my collection for years on end, so they'll have to stay in the family home until I settle down somewhere permanent.

My collection consists of: loose & MOC/MIB of all 4 generations, plus customs (sculpted and painted)... As well as fakies, MIB Sweetie Pups and Monster High dolls.

I'm thinking plastic tubs but I need details... Any advice is greatly appreciate!
- Do I wrap ponies in acid free tissue paper?
- Should they be loosely packed to avoid warping plastic?
- Would chucking some silica packets in be a good idea to soak up moisture?
- Can MIB ponies stain other boxes?
- What's the best way of storing MOC?
- Will being in the dark damage them at all?
- Should I expect to find more age spots and such each time I check them?

I'm in an annoying situation. I bought several items from a seller who posted using the GSP. I had asked them previous to buying whether they would combine postage, they said they couldn't send an adjusted invoice but may refund after they posted.

So I paid 3 individual postage costs, they posted all 3 items in one box and I've just received them... No partial refund so far, and the box has NO evidence of how much it cost to post. I usually get customs forms on the boxes, nothing! Just a Pitney Bowes sticker, and an Australia Post barcode.

It obviously wouldn't cost the same to post them together as separate, so I'm going to ask the seller again about my promised partial refund... But I was hoping there would be some way for me to know how much it actually cost to post them?

Anyone have a clue?
