After seeing the work Kd=230692 of Deviantart.com had done with his pony resculpts I decided to give it a go. I had been wanting to do a new version of Forecast, an old OC of mine, for a while. This seemed like the perfect opportunity. He was cut in two and had his torso elongated as well as his feet and neck with fimo soft. His nose was built up as well and his hair was sculpted all with Fimo. He was painted with Ceramcoat paint and sealed with Testor's dullcoat. His glasses are made from aluminum wire and glued on. I didn't take a before pic of what he looked like before I started, but thats okay I still had a spare one for bait. So after I took out the hair and removed the neck plug..ya know standard stuff...I cut him in two. He's had his torso elongated as well as his hooves and neck. So I had Kiwisquirtbottle as my partner for the swap. In her app the places she mentioned were Ireland, Disney and the beach. At first I had a fantastic idea and it turned out great. Disney Beach Bum was born...then I realized I goofed! I had misread the swap guidelines. Instead of a hasbro pony going ON vacation I made a pony inspired by the vacation locals x.x While beach bum turned out great she was NOT what the swap needed...and this all happened on the day of the last check in. YAY! So I racked my brain for 3 days and ended up finally getting an idea. I figured what was the easiest way for a pony to travel, by mail! So Firefly ended up traveling all over the place collecting post marks and stamps. In Disneyland she picked up a couple stowaways in the form of Chip and Dale She also has sunglasses that you can see her eyes through and a necklace with a charm from each place. She also had a bag but I forgot to take pics of that. I wasn't in a mega customizing mood today so I whipped up these three for practice. I had a few g3.5 Ponyville ponies from a flea market. I had already done some minor sculpting (wings, build up on the nose so it doesn't look like its melting off the face) Anyway here they are. They turned out really cute, though Surprise is my favorite. My mother has always loved ancient Egyptian stuff especially hieroglyphs and things like that. She also loves the ponies I make for her. So this year she gets Hieroglyph. She has had a sponge painted FBR in two different browns to make it look like stone. The glyphs were added from a real tablet. I have no idea what it says, but it says something Mostly for looks though. The scarab on her back is done in gold glitter as is the ankh on her nose. She was rehaired with dollyhair...the gold one. Don't recall the name and it may have been a blend...I can't recall. So I had a very baity Surprise. She had melted hair, was about as yellow as they come and belonged to a very artistic little girl who had quite a lot of sharpies on hand. She also had bleeding from her hair and tail. I figured why not give it a shot, just to see if I could...well pics are better than words. So I had a really trashy Surprise and decided to give her new life. She's had a FBR, Full eye repaint, new symbols, new blush. Now she is waiting on hair...so when does it stop qualifying as a restore?

Fluttershy Plush made of Minky (oh so soft) with hand embroidered cutie and eyes. This gal was picked up at a flea market. She was perfect save for some ratty hair. So I flocked her and rehaired her...hmm. So Skeen saw my Uhura and asked if I could do Captain Janeway from Star Trek Voyager...so I did. I had such a time. Had to do the sculpt on the body twice. First attempt was just plain wierd...So I tried again. I tell ya the hardest part of sculpting these is seeing beyond the base pony with the odd sculpted bits to see the finished uniform. This is her last day. I will ship out of country, despite what ebay says, though shipping wouldn't be free. This was a really fun project to work on. There wasn't really a base plan for this gal. I looked at the base and sort of went with it. In the end she ended up being a Disney Beach Bum. She has had a full fbr, eye repaint and more. Her crab is made from apoxie. Her feet, nose, ears and rump are coated in real sand. Anywhere the ocean is is covered in a gloss finish. Marlin and Dorey are hand painted. She also has a lot of fun little accessories such as her necklace, bracelets and earrings. She was rehaired in DH Butterfly and...manderin I think? Dr. Leonard McCoy from the original Star Trek Cast. He is 2 of 7. His hair was done with DH Hazelnut and styled via boiling. Its still soft . The uniform is sculpted with fimo soft and painted with acrylics. Sealed with Testor's Dullcoat and a gloss finish on his eyes and shirt and boots.
