Introductions / Re-introduction!
« on: June 24, 2017, 09:34:44 PM »
Hello! I was active here in the past but ended up not logging in for quite a while.

For those who have joined after I stopped being active here, I got into MLP sometime in 2011. I was introduced to the franchise with the Friendship is Magic TV series, and from that I grew to love the MLP franchise as a whole within a few months. Ever since I've been collecting ponies, and I have a decently sized collection.

I collect all generations of MLP. My favorite ponies to collect are G1s. My favorite pony I own is Spring Song, who I got just last month while thrift shopping.

I hope to have fun here yet again!

Well, after I had gotten Hippity Hop and Best Wishes about two weeks ago, I've absolutely fallen in love with So Soft ponies! They're so cute, and I can't stop petting them. :P So, I want to see your So Soft ponies. :)

Pony Corral / Something about 3.5s I just noticed
« on: August 29, 2013, 03:02:54 PM »
I was just reorganizing my G3s and 3.5s when I realized something about 3.5s that's pretty cool. I don't know how many of you noticed, but the G3.5 ponies all have different heights:

(from tallest to shortest)
Rainbow Dash>Star Song>Cheerilee>Scootaloo>Pinkie Pie>Sweetie Belle

Toola-Roola is left out of this because I don't have her, thus I do not know how tall she is compared to the others, but I just thought this 3.5 height thing was interesting, so I felt like sharing the info!

EDIT: Why did this topic post twice with different titles? Could a mod delete the other one, please? There appears to have been a glitch of some sort.

Ignore this, a glitch caused the thread to double somehow.

Pony Brag Arena / G1s, a G3, and Build-a-bear Twilight
« on: August 17, 2013, 06:18:32 PM »
I suppose I'll start with what I got today. I went to the Antique Mall after months of not going because I was desperate for some G1s. I got 5 ponies there.

G1:

Hippity Hop - My very first So Soft pony. And yeah, they're pretty darn soft. Her condition is pretty good, she has some dirt on her, but it isn't too noticeable, and her flocking-loss it at a minimum. Her hair is however faded and she has some tail rust. She was $3 normally, but I got her and another pony for $5 together.

Best Wishes - Another So Soft pony. Her condition isn't as Hippity's is, she's missing more flocking. I plan on restoring her later. She was $2.

Butterscotch - Flatfoot variant. Overall, her condition is great! She's sticky in one area, but that can be fixed with a Magic Eraser. There's also a blue mark on her left cheek, which I'm assuming can be removed by a Magic Eraser as well. She also appears to have a single dot of Smooze/pindot, which luckily is also removable. She was $10, likely due to her being a flatfoot.

Lovebeam - Overall great quality. The main issue is her frizzy hair. Slightly dirty, but that can be fixed with a Magic Eraser. She was $10.

G3:

Doseydotes - Frizzy hair, and has a few minor marks on her body that can be removed. She was normally $3, but I got her with Hippity Hop for $5 combined.

On Thursday (the 15th), I went to Build-a-Bear and got their Twilight Sparkle plush. I only got her, not the cloths.

As you probably know, judging by my username, I'm a fan of The Beatles. My dad got tickets to Paul's Out There concert in Seattle for him and I. This was on the 19th, over a week ago. This will simply be a copypaste of what I posted on another forum last week.

wall of text
Okay, so, I started to get ready to leave at around 3:45. My dad and I left the house at around 4. We got to Seattle a little before 5 (took less time than I thought it took to get to Seattle, of course I only go there a few times a year). We got food at Starbucks. Both of us got a croissant, my dad got an iced coffee, and then I got water. We started walking towards Safeco Field, and about 2 minutes after we left Starbucks, there was a screwed up sidewalk sticking up about 2 or 3 inches from the other piece of sidewalk. My dad tripped on it, and I ended up falling. Both my knees got hurt, and my left leg got a pretty bad scrap down it. So then my dad and I found a spot where we could sit, and my dad put the rest of my ice water on my leg so it didn't get infected. Then we had to get to Safeco, so we could see if they could help my leg. Anyway, we got to Safeco a little before 6, I think. My dad and I went right up to the front gate, and my dad asked the guards if they could do anything to help my leg. The guards called the medic, which came like... over 30 minutes afterwards, so it was a long wait. While waiting, I decided to sit down, since I was feeling a little dizzy while standing. Then the medic FINALLY arrived, and he rubbed my leg with an alcohol cloth thing. It hurt, and the shock of it made me feel even more dizzy (not that it helped that I was standing). My face went really white, and I sat down again, and the medic checked my pulse, saying that I had a low blood pressure due to the shock of the alcohol rub. On top of that, I had barely drunken any water that day, so that probably made the dizziness worse. Then the medic put bandages on my knees, and left the large scrap uncovered so it could heal. Since I couldn't stand without being dizzy, and thus couldn't walk up to the third floor of Safeco, my dad had them get me there in a wheelchair instead. Before they wheeled me up, they gave me some water to help with the dizziness, which I drank really quickly. We got up to the 3rd floor, and were about to get up to our seats, when the lady there said we could just watch from the handicap section so I didn't have to walk up the stairs to our seats. So, we sat down in the handicap section, which was about 10 feet above the 2nd floor. There was only one (small) row of the handicap section, so we had no one sitting behind, or in front of us, so it was a better seat than we paid for. My dad got three bottles of water (one for him, two for me), and popcorn. Then he also got me cotton candy. And yeah, that food and water helped my dizziness a lot. I was able to go to the bathroom before the concert, and didn't feel dizzy at all. This was after I ate most of my food.

The concert started about 30-45 minutes late, since they wanted to make sure that everyone had gotten in from outside. It was an awesome concert. Here's the setlist:

Spoiler

-Band on the Run

-Live and Let Die (this had flames and fireworks. It was flipping AMAZING!)
-Hey Jude (another one where the audience sang the majority of the outro)

Encore (with Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, and Pat Smear):

All in all, it was fun, though falling certainly wasn't. And yep, my leg is getting better. It's pretty much just a huge series of scabs now.

Off Topic / Di Gi Charat
« on: September 22, 2012, 04:16:47 PM »
I'm a huge fan of the anime Di Gi Charat.

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I got into it two years ago, and took a slight break from it last year and now I'm addicted to it again. I even made a forum for it:

http://digicharat.forumotion.com/

I doubt much other people here have even heard of DGC, since it was only ever popular in Japan, but I just decided to make this thread just in case there are fellow DGC fans here. Anyway, if you're wondering what it's about:

Spoiler
A young catgirl named Di Gi Charat (Dejiko for short, the princess of Planet Di Gi Charat), her friend Petit Charat (Puchiko for short), and their round, yellow gaurdian Gema, escape to Earth after their planet is attacked by the evil Black Gema Gema Gang of the neighnoring planet, Planet Analogue. Dejiko and the others crashland into Akihabara, a neighborhood in Tokyo.

Right away they realise that they are now homeless, and the manager of the nearby store of Gamers, lets them live in the top floor for free as long as they agree to work there. Dejiko meets another new worker at Gamers, Hikaru Usada, who perfers to be called Rabi~en~Rose. Usada hates it when people call her by her real name, and she immedeatly wants to be Dejiko's rival, as her and Dejiko both want to be idols when they grow up. Other characters include Minagawa Takurou (a normal 14 year old boy who has a crush on Usada), Kimura Takurou (a rich man who lives in a mansion with an odd obsession for Puchiko), and Takeshi and Yoshimi (two otakus who are fans of Dejiko).

The Summer Special introduces Piyoko, the leader of the Black Gema Gema Gang. And the Christmas Special introduces Rik, Ky, and Coo, members of the Black Gema Gema Gang. The BGGG try to kidnap Dejiko, so they can hold her for ransom to save their planet, Planet Analogue from povery.

Anyway, my favorite characters are the Black Gema Gema Gang. They're just awesome. So, yeah. I doubt there are other DGC fans here, but I just wanted to find out if there were.

EDIT: I may as well link to the first episode:

Pony Brag Arena / TRU Favorites Set! :D
« on: August 16, 2012, 05:10:03 PM »
Today, I went to TRU to get some ponies, and hopefully one for my friend. They didn't have Zecora, the one I was going to get fo her and me, so we ended uo getting her an itunes gift card instead.

Here's a list of what they had:

Spoiler
-Favorites set
-Rarity and Daisy Dreams Scooter set
-Wedding Mane 6 singles
-Bridesmaids ponies
-Talking Cadance
-White talking Celestia
-Twilight Sparkle car
-Wedding Castle
-all 3 new 3 pack blindbag figure sets

All I ended up getting was the Favorites set. Now time to go over their conditions.

Nightmare Moon - Pretty good.  Her mane and tail were a little.... stringy, for lack of a better word. A lot of factory curles too.

Trixie Lulamoon - Very stringy hair, feels very oily. I'm definatly going to have to condition it. She has two small dents on her neck/chest area.

Flower Wishes (Daisy) - Pretty good hair. Two small dents above her front right leg.

DJ P0N-3 (Vinyl Scratch) - Again, very stringy hair. Dent on neck/chest.

Lemony Jem - Very rough hair. That's about it.

Rainbow Dash - Also has dents. She had a VERY bad snarl in her mane, I had to brush it so hard, that part of the hair came out. O_o

Pinkie Pie - Average G4 condition. Not much to say.

Out of all 3 Favorites sets they had, I chose the best one, so if these were already bad quality, imagine how bad the others would have been. Yeah, quality control has been going down. Still glad I got this set though.

Pony Brag Arena / Birthday Brag
« on: August 09, 2012, 08:26:55 PM »
Today, August 9th, is my birthday! The only pony things I got were the free Wal-Mart posters, and I'm glad to confirm that you don't need to buy anything to get them, you just walk in and grab them. I got all 4, and hanged them all up right when I got home. I also got Kirby Mass Attack at Game Stop. Nothing big, but whatever.

If your wondering how old I am now, I'm 16.

Off Topic / Who else here is a Kirby fan?
« on: July 31, 2012, 08:57:41 PM »
One of my favorite gaming series is Kirby. He's just so adorable!  I got into Kirby around when Squeak Squad was released, since my and my brother saw a commercial on TV, we decited to get it. Now I have Squeak Squad, Super Star Ultra, Nightmare in Dreamland, Air Ride, Amazing Mirror, Epic Yarn, and Canvas Curse. I also downloaded Crystal Shards and Dream Land 3 on my Wii.

Spoilered because this is me complaining about lost progress.
Spoiler
Sadly, I lost my original copy of Squeak Squad two years ago, in which we had completed 100%. Luckily, I got another a few months ago. Just yesterday, me andmy brother went to play minigames on K64, and I accedently deleted the file. Worst part was is we onl needed about 3 shards left to get to the final boss. This was my reaction:  So then we went to play DL3, and we played about 20 minutes, then we quit and wanted to play again, my brother accedently pressed up, which sent it to go over delete. I accedently pressed 'A', and then tried to re-enter the file, causing THAT to be deleted as well. That's what I get for forgetting the controls of it. -.-'

Now for talking about the anime.
Spoiler
Anyway, I also watch the anime Hoshi no Kaabii. It's so addicting. I've seen episodes 1-72 and then 89. 89 is the only one out of 73-100 that's actually subbed, however even that was only 240p.  My favorite characters in the anime are:

1. Fumu
2. Kirby
3. Escargon

Anyway, so, who else here plays Kirby!  :what:

Pony Brag Arena / FiM card brag
« on: July 19, 2012, 09:21:39 PM »
Well, I'm going on a vacation to Montana on Monday, so me, my mom, and my brother went shopping since the roadtrip will take 13-15. So, I couldn't get as much as usual on my dad's pay day. All I got were three packs of FiM Trading cards at Target. They were $2 per pack. I decided to get one of each package so I could keep them all right away, I keep some packages for whatever reason. XD

I got:
Cards:
-1x Foil Spike
-1x Golden Harvest & Lyra Heartstrings
-1x The Wonderbolts
-1x Cheerilee
-1x Rarity (normal)
-1x Braeburn
-1x Winona
-1x Appleloosa
-1x Sweet Apple Acres
-1x Canterlot
-1x Iron Pony Compitition (Error: Episode: Dragonshy. No, it's from Fall Weather Friends, not Dragonshy.)
-1x Pony Without a Team (Error: Episode: It's a Sonic Rainboom. There are two problems with this, the name is Sonic Rainboom, there is no 'It's a' in the title, second, this isn't even from that episode, this scene if from Winter Wrap Up.)
-1x Meet the Apple Family

Tattos:
-1x Celestia's cutie mark
-1x Twilight Sparkle's cutie mark
-1x Rainbow Dash and Applejack

Standees:
-1x Fluttershy
-1x Applebloom

In other words, I didn't get anything to trade with people. I suppose that's good, I don't want doubles. :P
