Trader & Shipping Support / candycandy81: Avoid!
« on: February 02, 2015, 03:28:38 AM »
This auction is non-pony related, but since we also have the Dollhouse forum, I decided to post.

I listed this auction last night:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221678628048?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2649

Before I went to bed, I received a message from eBay member candycandy81.

Dear littlespiffy,

hello
I am from Spain
Shipping costs could be cheaper?
I hope your answer soon
thx

- candycandy81

I reviewed the item an noticed I did, in fact, make an error with the international shipping method:

Dear candycandy81,

Thank you for contacting me. I revised the item and shipping to Spain is $28.50.

- littlespiffy

I went to bed and woke up at 5am with three messages from the buyer.  (Spain is 5 hours ahead of my timezone):

Dear littlespiffy,

I you sell only doll Fawn?

-----

Dear littlespiffy,

hello
If you what I pay now you send me Monday?
Please to not have problems with customs
mandame wrists in a small package, declared value 11 dollars and check the box as a gift, right?
I hope your answer

- candycandy81

-----

Dear littlespiffy,

hello
I bought the batch of dolls
If you what I pay now when you can send me?
answer soon

- candycandy81

Dear candycandy81,

Changing the items value and listing as a gift is against eBay policy.  The customs form will state $29.99 as the value and that they are merchandise.

My handling time is 1 day after payment is received.  If you are able to pay me today, they will ship by Tuesday at the latest.
- littlespiffy

Dear littlespiffy,

Is that if more than 20 dollars in declared value will have to pay about 32 dollars more customs costs.
As we could solve?
I recently bought some dolls to an American and I put less value and nothing happened ...
You do not usually manfdar abroad a lot right?
I if I buy enough to other countries and no hat and put less value problems ...
If you give containing 6 dolls worth 17 dollars
Please?

Dear candycandy81,

I will not change the value of the customs forms.  It is mail fraud and is illegal.  It is against eBay policy because it is an illegal activity:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/encouraging-illegal-activity.html

If you would not like to proceed with the transaction, you can request to cancel the transaction through eBay.

- littlespiffy

Dear littlespiffy,

The declared value is what really cost wrists?
Shipping charges not
Is that if the purchase exceeded 20 dollars, would have to pay 32 dollars more for the costs of customs ...
You you would have to put 19 dollars, not 29.99 dollars

Dear candycandy81,

The declared value is what you paid: $29.99

Changing the value is fraud.  I will not do it.

As I stated before, if you do not wish to continue with this purchase, please send a request to cancel the transaction through eBay.

- littlespiffy

This is where we stand as I type this.  I did attempt to look up what she has bid on in the past (even though I know eBay got rid of that option) and noticed that she has the same exact dollsvery similar dolls for sale.  Her dolls are nude and she is asking $56.42 or best offer.  The auction was listed well before she purchased my dolls.

You see, I don't hold that against her.  I buy and re-sell or sell and re-buy for myself all of the time.  What I have an issue with is that she is an established eBay seller who obviously knows the value of the dolls she just bought and how international shipping works.

I did report this situation to eBay.

In order for me to cancel the transaction, she will have to agree to it.  Then it counts against my seller metrics (...and I had to cancel five transactions last month due to the Celestia/Luna Funko Fiasco and I don't need any more cancellations to add to my number!)

*sigh*

edit:

Oh, wow, this is just getting worse:

What we can do is this;
To benefit 2, you and I
If you do what I say
I'll pay directly to your paypal account and you save the sales commission
But you you would have to cancel the purchase and you buy off Ebay
I am a very good buyer and seller
You can see it in my opinions.
And you are too.
Now you say
I bought off ebay smoothly

-----

Dear littlespiffy,

If canceled purchase ebay you reintegrates the commission
You give me your paypal account number, and I will pay 58.49 dollars
You send me dolls as follows, to not charge me money for customs
You send me the lot of dolls in a not very large box
Put declared value 15 dollars
And check the box to send as a gift
Please?
Need wrists and I want to give my child as a birthday
You understand me?
The only thing I do not want is to pay more in customs fees .... :(
But if I want the fairies dolls ....

edit: I contacted eBay's customer service and they instructed me to submit a cancellation request and to go ahead and re-list the item (even if the cancellation request hasn't been confirmed yet).  I scheduled the auction to start at 8pm EST and added candycandy81 to my blocked bidder list.  And, of course, there's more:

Dear littlespiffy,

I have seen that you have canceled the purchase, but do what I told you not?
Give me your paypal account and I make payment

This was sent as I was replying to the above message:

Dear littlespiffy,

Give me your paypal account you t pay 58.49 dollars for the lot of fairies

Dear candycandy81,

I will not complete this transaction outside of eBay.  Doing so is in direct violation of eBay policy.

Please confirm the cancellation request to end this transaction.

Thank you

- littlespiffy

...and she hasn't confirmed cancellation yet.  Lovesbabysquirmy, she very well may be tying up my auction so her auction sells at a higher price.

She's been reported twice:first for the customs fraud and again for trying to buy outside of eBay.

edit:

Dear littlespiffy,

hello
Now I cancel the purchase.
Sorry I did not miss business ... for the theme of the declared value ....
I would have liked to have bought the fairies dolls for my sister ...
I hope to find another buyer ...
Sorry, Thanks for Everything
If you change your mind :) let me know as soon as possible;)
greeting

- candycandy81

...aaaaaaand she still hasn't confirmed the cancellation.

Anyone know where/when it came from?

The Dollhouse / PC: Harumika...? (It's Also For Sale)
« on: January 31, 2015, 12:18:30 PM »
Yesterday I bought a bunch of Barbie clothes at the thrift store, but passed on a bunch of Barbie mannequins.

Last night I thought "Gee, I should have bought at least one of them.  It would make displaying these clothes so much easier!"

So I went back today...and they were ALL GONE!  Except for two, bundled in a bag, with a bunch of "stuff."  Turned out I got myself 23 pieces of Harumika fabric, 2 sticker sheets, 2 mannequins, and a blank head with purple hair.

I was thinking of listing the fabric on eBay, but it seems all the lots include at least a couple of mannequins.

SO, how much do you think the fabric is worth?  A similar lot went for about $25 (that's with shipping), but had 7 mannequins included.

Sooooo...yeah, does not having the mannequins drastically effect the value?  I mean, most people have mannequins already, right?

Do you think I should include the head or sell it here to a customizer?  For the time being, I popped it on the end of my Sharpie because it's creepy-cool.

Neon Orange Princess Rinse 'n Spit!

Owning a Rinse 'n Spit has been a dream of mine since I first started collecting.  Thanks to SeashellnBubbles, Rinse 'n Spit is now reality!  However she is bald!  What colors do you think would look best? I was thinking something along the lines of rainbow but I am open to suggestions.  What are your thoughts?

Found lots of goodies today!  Need help IDing this cutie.  1975 Mattel Taiwan.  Articulated neck, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles (shoulders & thighs toi).   Feet are flat and are too big for Barbie/Skipper shoes, yet too small for Ken's.  Any ideas?

I found some clothes for her!  She's a sassy mechanic ;)

I think I'll repaint the sneakers...someday...if I can pry them off her feet (they're on pretty snug) :x

Question:  I know they can look-up a transaction when you pay via credit card.

How 'bout when you use your PIN with a credit card (Visa)?

I need to do a sizable return and can't find the receipt for the life of me!  Of course it's 3am and I'm stressing over this now...

...will they refund my card or just give me store credit?

(I did email customer service, but was hoping another night owl might know the answer)

I just got a jumbo lot of dolls in the mail & am about to resell most of them.  I've been able to get ideas on what to expect for most of them, but there are two I need help regarding prices...and an ID for the third.

Anyway, Esmeralda: original release by Mattel missing earring, shoes, and jingle-jangle gypsy skirt.

Belle: This is some sort of fancy schmancy Disney Store release.  She's in a very elaborate gown accented with amber rhinestones.  Arms are bent in 90 degree angle.  Face is quite round - unlike any Belle doll I've ever seen.

Blonde Girl:  Um...no idea who this is.

Off Topic / Non-Pony Brag: STARDUST
« on: January 13, 2015, 08:35:40 PM »
Look who galloped into my home today:

Just like new!  Box is opened and a bit damaged, but who the heck cares?!  Just LOOK AT HIM:

The story reads:

Long ago, in a glade deep in an ancient forest, a young white unicorn slept beneath a dark wintry sky.  Suddenly, just after the moon had risen, a comet streaked across the sky, scattering tiny stars and flakes of stardust in a blue haze across the forest kingdom,  When the unicorn awoke, he found himself covered in a blanket of brilliant blue sprinkled with stars and starflakes.

Thus was born the legend of Stardust, the Blue Unicorn.  Magical and mysterious, he roamed the forests for centuries.  Stardust was thought to have had magical powers and his horn or "alicorn" was coveted by healers and common folk alike, yet no one could ever catch more than a glimpse of him.  This intelligent and untamable creature became a legend and a symbol of purity and innocence.

Breyer's Stardust celebrates the myth of this magical unicorn, his kinship to the horse, and his mythical past as a protector of the meek and guardian of justice.

My very first Breyer was a white unicorn foal (which I still have, but his horn was lost long ago!).  I decided that, in my imaginary Breyer horse world, my little unicorn foal grew up to be Stardust :)

The Dollhouse / Novi Stars for Sale! Tula, Ari, Una, Alie, and Mae!
« on: January 11, 2015, 11:14:52 PM »
edit!
Mae: Complete!  Even has headband (the handle from the box)!

Una: Great for parts or custom!  Missing right arm, ring/bracelet from left hand, and dress.  Has necklace, pet, shoes, and stand!  Maybe you could transplant her head onto a MH body?  I have an extra Home Ick Abbey I can sell you *winkwink*

Alie: Complete!  Does not have headband.

Ari: Complete!  Does not have headband.

Tula: Complete with headband!  HOWEVER, I am holding on to her because I may just steal her stand for another doll...don't judge me!  *hides*

I'm probably going to sell them as one lot on eBay, but wanted to check here first.  Is anyone interested?

---------
I'm thinking of trading a loose Tula Toned doll with all of her accessories...I'm looking for:

Anne Artic
Ina Ferna
Vera Tabray
Mimi Merize

And I don't think these are out yet...
Carmela Sweet
Frostina Sprinkles
Doe A. Deer
Justina Hour

...would anyone be interested?

I would also consider selling.

I just bought some dolls from Ditabee and am about to get duplicates XD

Can you believe that I can't find any currently on eBay OR recently sold auctions?

Twilight is loose with no accessories.  She is the version with the painted-on clothes and plaid legs.

Any idea on value?

I'm thinking $19.99, but it's hard to say since there aren't any on eBay...

Pony Corral / Pony/Transformer Body Paint?!
« on: January 11, 2015, 09:21:09 AM »
http://www.roustanbodypaint.com/captured-a-transformer

I have never seen this before!   I didn't realize that her body was painted until the end of the video (despite the site saying "body paint," lol)

Amazing!

72
UGH!

There is little to no information about this doll.  I found a stock image here, but the packaging covers the shoes!

Not even one listing on eBay!  Gah!

Anyway, I "stole" the shoes from the Jakks Pacific Signature Tinkerbell...only because I'd rather have a fully clothed Tink vs., well, you know.

Did they both come with the same shoes?  Does ANYONE have this doll?  *pulls hair out*

Edit: Re-purposing this thread as a combo Brag/Sales thread.  Because I had tons of luck today!  Wheee!

SO - when I say "asking," it means I'm open to offers.  I am also open to trading.  I am not limited to trading what's on my want list.  If you have a trade list or an image gallery, feel free to share!

Shipping for most items is about $2 within the US.  Larger/more expensive items I will ship via Priority Mail, which is at least $5.50 and can run up to about $9 or so.

eBay is offering me free listings (again), so I may just list the majority of this stuff on eBay.  Please PM me if you're interested in anything.  I'd rather see this stuff go to collectors in the community than go through eBay.

(work in progress - adding more - slowly, but surely...)

Vintage Asian Pose Doll: I'm pretty sure she's Chinese.  There was a dot of flaking paint above the right eye.  When I touched it, more paint started to flake off.  I went ahead and did a touch-up with artists' grade acrylic paint.  Can't tell there was ever a flaw!  (I need to finish painting my cardboard backdrop, lololol)  Asking $20 + shipping

Vintage Japanese Doll: S/He's so cute!  I'm pretty sure the green checkered onsie & felt shirt are original.  Someone lovingly made him/her a knitted outfit with shoes!  Feel free to make an offer...but I may just keep it :)

Disney Store Deluxe Singing Jasmine Doll: She sings!  She practically YELLS "A Whole New World." The hair is a mess!  It is frizzy from being over brushed.  I did my best and was able to get actual knots out (yes, knots).  I styled the hair to match her hairstyle from the movie, but added an extra band (oops).  I'm leaving as it is.  You can tell how poofy it is in the last picture.  Outfit is in great condition.  Missing shoes, necklace, and possible earrings (ears aren't pierced, so I don't know if she came with earrings). There's a tiny bit of plastic on her right elbow joint is damaged - can barely see it & doesn't effect movement. The price I paid was written in permanent marker.  I used a Magic Eraser to fade it a bit, but it's not coming off completely.  Asking $20 + shipping (stand not included)

Disney Store Deluxe Singing Mulan Doll:  Doll doesn't sing - not sure if batteries are dead or she's broken.  Only comes with dress.  Hair is in nice shape.  The price I paid was written in permanent marker.  I used a Magic Eraser to fade it a bit, but it's not coming off completely. She is quite the stunner!  Asking $30 + shipping (stand not included)

Dolly Surprise:  I am so annoyed!  This doll, a couple of weeks ago, worked!  Now the hair won't grow when she touches the butterfly >_<  Darn kids!  Anyway, hair needs tamed (it's in fairly good shape, but I don't want to mess up the crimping). Comes with dress.  Asking $5 + shipping (stand not included)

Vintage Barbies & Malibu Skipper (?):  I have the worst time IDing old Barbies.  Both Barbies look identical to me.  I can see slight variations in the face-up, but they are so slight that I wouldn't say they're different releases.  All three are nude.  They are dirty.  Barbie on the left has a slightly chewed hands and feet, middle Barbie has slightly chewed feet, and Skipper needs a re-root job.  Otherwise they're in good shape.  Asking $15 + shipping for all three - I would like to sell them all at once, but if you desperately want just one doll, I'll do it :)

Little Miss Makeup: *sings* She's the baitiest doll I've ever seen, I scrubbed and scrubbed and she still isn't clean! *coughs*  Yeah, okay, she's a mess.  A hot little mess.  Great for a custom job.  Why did I buy her?  Oh, yeah, I thought I could wash the dirt off *facepalm*  She has tangled hair, spots of VDS, legs and arms are discolored, outfit is ruined.  Heck, I'll give her to you for free!  Just pay shipping.

Winx Club Stella:  Nude, no wings.  She's all bendy-like.  Needs someone to work on that hair of hers.  Make an offer!  I also have a taller, jointed Bloom lying around here...somewhere...just ask if you're interested!
*picture coming soon*

Vintage Mufasa Plush:  Made by Mattel, but if I didn't know better I would have thought Disney Store.  In fact, I had a Disney Store plushie back in the day that was so similar to this one!  Anyway, he's gorgeous and has only one flaw: the little white accent dot in one eye has a bit of fading around the edge.  He has wire in his front legs and velcro in his mouth (came with Simba cub that he would carry).  1993, baby!  Still awesome.  Recently sold eBay prices are all over the place...$99 + shipping?  Huh?!  Okay, so Mufasa in similar conditions seem to sell around the $25 mark, so that's what I'll ask for:  $25 plus shipping.

Vintage Cabbage Patch Kids Koosa Dog & Cat:  Unsure if the shirt on the dog is original.  Shirt on the cat is...and it's really dirty and stained.  I haven't tried washing it, but, yeah, looks like there's chocolate or something on it   They're both in great shape and come with original collars.  Cat has slight rub to nose pain.  Asking $15 each or $25 for the pair plus shipping

Vintage Cabbage Patch Kid Show Pony:  Comes with original saddle, bridle, and reins.  Looks to be very clean and white ( I didn't wash it).  Only flaw is a scratch to the eye paint on one eye that is the width of a human hair!  Asking $20 plus shippinh

MH Dance Class Lagoona: Missing gym bag & leg fins, otherwise complete & perfect. Asking $5 plus shipping.  If you want the doll only, I will sell her for $5 with free shipping.  If you only want the stock outfit, I will sell it for $5 with free shipping.

Paradise Kids 10" Fashion Doll - Cowgirl Kylie:  Missing hat - reminds me of Megan!  Really cute doll.  TRU is selling the same doll on eBay for $19.99 (plus shipping) while private sellers are asking $45. I'm asking $10 plus shipping
*currently listed on eBay, but offering lower price here*

Two Tinkerbell Dolls:  Neither have wings.  Both by Jakk's Pacific.  One looks like a basic doll, the other some sort of Spring Fashion doll. Rosetta & Friend's Tink...and I've decided to keep her! Muwhahaha!   Now, I have a TON of Disney dolls coming 1/13/15 including 8 more fairies and possibly another R&F Tink.  SO, I may just hold on to these until then...oh, man, the floral one is so pretty...I may keep her...gah!  I can't keep everything! >_<  Asking $3 for signature Tink plus shipping

Lalaloopsy Littles - Twisty Tumbelina : Missing shoes & pet duck.  Great condition.  Asking $5 plus shipping

Swimways Fairy Tail doll: It's a mermaid with wings!  Weird doll that is actually pretty cool.  You can see info hereAsking $5 plus shipping

Vintage Strawberry Shortcake Berry Baby:  She's in great condition with dress, panties, and booties.  Just missing her hat & bottle!  $10 plus shipping

Strawberry Shortcake 2008 "Berries to Blossoms" pony: Comes with tutu, 4 leg warmers, necklace, and barette. eBay prices are...um, weird.  Last one was sold MIB, but "best offer" was accepted, so I don't know what it actually sold for.  Another was in a lot without accessories.  The whole lot went for about $15.  Let's so with...$10.  Asking $10 plus shipping
*currently on eBay, offering lower price here - PM me!*

G3 Newborn Cuties: Okay, so I know these aren't dollies, but I'd like to sell JUST the accessories to Pinkie Pie's Playhouse.  Asking $5 + shipping

...I've got some TAF 3.5's and a G1 Dancing Butterflies...and a G4 Pinkie Pie...and some more dolls...stay tuned for more info AND pictures :)

I'm still out & about, but I just can't wait until I get home to post!

It's Sindy!!!

I got a bunch of vintage dolls tonight & had no idea that this was a Sindy doll until a few moments ago when I saw the stamp.

Any idea on value?  I'm going to Google to see which one I have- she is the cutest doll ever!

I'll have more pics later of some vintage Barbies & "weird" dolls.  I just couldn't wait to share!

I believe I have Lively Lovely Sindy from 1970 - possibly the "Active" release.

They were only available in the UK/AU/NZ?!?!?!  How did she get to Pennsylvania? !

Poor baby - too good to be bait!

I've looked at CherryCake's tutorial a few times over the years, but that particular flocking doesn't exactly look like MLP flocking.

Has anyone found something closer to what Hasbro used?

So...yeah...why was this made? :satisfied:  Also, anyone know it's value?

You can see what it is here:  http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/spectra-playsets.htm

And I uploaded a video of mine (tried to do it one-handed, which is hard!):

Apparently I have a hand mirror from the Buffatron playset and one hanger from the Selectron playset too.  Huh.  Both were also released as generic Barbie accessories, too, so who knows...colors seem to match what's on Ghost of the Doll...
