Oh boy, do I have a ton of awesome stuff to share this week! First off, I went to our local antique and thrift stores. Next, I decided to go check Ross again, since I've been hoping to get the retro G1 canvas. Lo and behold, they had one! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAfter that, I decided to go next door to Five Below, as I'd seen a pair of retro G1 headphones on their website. While there, though, I couldn't resist getting a couple more ponies because they had one remaining Nurse Redheart for only $3 (what a steal! I've been searching for this gal for awhile too), and a Starlight Glimmer for $4! I am super happy with these gals, though! Today's Tuesday, and you know what that means! Thrift brags once again <3 Lazy pictures today because I'm feeling sleepy and unproductive ahaha visitors can't see pics , please register or loginFirst, we have a little thrift store downtown that was holding a neat Easter discount event. You open a plastic egg and get a discount for a certain amount. I'd found a $1.75 bag of toys that included a couple pony accessories, and I ended up getting them for free! So here we have a Cutie Mark Magic Rainbow Helicopter, and a car (I'm not sure what set it's from). I'm just a bit bummed that I didn't find/decide to buy anything else because my discount was $10 >u< visitors can't see pics , please register or loginNext is a Fluttershy BAB that I got from another thrift store for $1! Her hair's a little frizzy and it looks like someone fixed a tear on her hoof as there's a visible line of stitches, but otherwise she's nice. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginLastly we have some retail store buys. I got DJ Pon-3 from a CMC Wedding Bash blind box yesterday <3 Then I decided to hit a dollar store because our Big Lots and Wal-marts had all quickly gotten rid of their previous wave stuff and I still hadn't bought a couple of the pearlies. Thankfully the dollar store had both Sea Swirl and Meadowflower! I thought about grabbing pearly AJ too but decided against it since I want to leave some pony funds for the pony meet, and she's just another version of AJ and not a different pony character altogether.

So if any of you remember last year's Cattail custom I did (his thread can be found here), I acquired another G1 baby fakie and decided to continue the theme with Coriander Cumin, who I just finished today! These lovely small stallions make me so happy <3 visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginThis guy marks my first attempt at sculpting new parts. Because Coriander Cumin is a unicorn, I needed to make a horn for him. I'm also currently saving for the pony meet I'm going to at the end of this month so I didn't want to spend money on additional supplies. The only clay I had on hand was Sculpy. So, I sculpted his horn out of Sculpy, baked it, cut a hole in the bait's forehead, and hot glued it into the hole. It worked out pretty well! I then hand-painted him with acrylics, and detailed him with a bit of shading and his wrinkles. His symbol was quite the challenge to get symmetrical on both sides, but I'm super proud of how it came out. His 'hair' is a lovely mixed yarn that I've had wasting away in my craft cupboard for years. I know Coriander Cumin's hair is solid brown, but I think this mixed color yarn accents his colors beautifully! I hot glued wefts of it to his head and neck to create his mane, and then used thread to put it in a permanent bun style. I hot glued little tufts of it to his nose and eyebrows. For his tail, I put several yarn strands together, and then put a dab of hot glue on one end to make it easier for it to go through the tail hole. I then put it through the hole and hot glued it on the inside to get it to stay in. Then I twisted it into a bun and used the thread method and a bit more hot glue to get it to stay. Overall, I'm very pleased with how this guy came out. I still need to make his shirt and track down my gloss varnish so I can give his details a shine, but otherwise he's finished!

Pony has been ID'ed as Red Gala, thanks Sora! In that shopgoodwill lot I received yesterday, there was a bunch of blind bag ponies included. I went to identify them as I usually do, but this particular gal was not on the MLP Merch database. Her pose is, near as I can tell, 'Peachy Sweet', but she was nowhere to be found, not even on the prototypes page. I'm wondering if I possibly stumbled upon an undocumented prototype or a very well-made fakie (or if I'm completely blind and she is actually on MLP Merch somewhere and I missed her).

Details:
+ Peachy Sweet pose (I did check the Jonagold pose as well since it's similar but she wasn't there either)
+ She is pink with a green mane and tail and green eyes
+ She has three cupcakes as her symbol with green frosting and what appears to be some sort of yellow sprinkle/topping
+ Her right front hoof has the 'My Little Pony' logo, her left front hoof reads 'Hasbro SA (c) 2014, and her left hind hoof reads 'C-029A China'. A couple of my other blind bags I checked just now also have that same code on their hooves.

My $20 (well...$20 with shipping haha, $12 otherwise!) lot from shopgoodwill came in this morning! Such a nice treat to be able to come home after passing one of my finals and clean a whole bunch of new ponies <3 visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHowever, before we get to the lot, I need to mention this gal, who was not a part of the lot. She was my singular find from the Tuesday thrifting this week, but I didn't want to make a brag for just one pony find when I had a huge lot on the way, so...she'll go here! So Soft Newborn Sweetie Belle, found at Goodwill <3 Isn't she just the most precious thing ever? Aaaaaand now onto the lot! Moondancer is in pretty rough condition; she has quite a few pen and highlighter marks and some age marks. It's Tuesday again and I am over the moon with my finds today! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginFirstly on the right, a MIB G3 Minty Ornament for $4. I saw the side of the box on a shelf in our local antique store and I was like 'oh my gosh that's a pony box, what is it?' and lo and behold, it's a Minty ornament! And then pictured to the left, I also found 'A Very Minty Christmas' in a completely separate booth on the downstairs level, it was so strange haha There you have it! It's a small brag but that ornament's the first MIB pony thing from a previous gen that I've found in the wild, so I'm stoked. I also have a blind bag pony I've been wanting for awhile on his way here, so keep an eye out for that little update <3

This lovely Tuesday morning I hit the usual antique and thrift stores, and found a few pony and LPS things! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginZecora EQG, one of the few EQG dolls I actually did want! I found her buried in a box of Barbies at one of our local thrift stores. Unfortunately she's missing almost all of her accessories, but she's in lovely condition otherwise. I'm so excited to finally have this girl in my collection! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnother one of the talking Princess Celestia ponies, of which I already have one but couldn't resist picking her up because of how I found her. I accidentally found her when I was moving stuff in a bin and set something on top of her button. Suddenly I hear 'I AM A PRINCESS' (or something similar to that), recognized it as one of her voice lines and was like 'OH!' I hurried up and dug her out hehe. She's in pretty good shape, but her hair is butchered. I don't know which pony either of them came with, but I'm going to bet that the orange one was from a Toola-Roola. I found this cool LPS magnet playset thing for $2.00 at Salvation Army and couldn't pass it up. It's in awesome condition, it's so unique, and I'm almost 100% certain everything was still there. There are a LOT of little magnets. I don't really collect Pokemon stuff but I'm a casual fan of it so I figured why not? I don't know what these are from and I'm a little intimidated to try and search for them amidst what I'm sure will be thousands of Pokemon figurines, but I did identify the Pokemon for anyone curious. Hi there! I haven't been around much because life has been completely hectic and I've had very little time for ponies. I recently got a weekend job and I'm finishing up school in a month, and I have lots of tests to study for, etc. On top of that, I now have two more cats to care for that I rescued earlier this year. But a couple times in the last two weeks I was able to go pony hunting and I got a couple neat things to show off! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginFirstly, last week I went to Wal-mart and lo and behold, they've actually gotten newer lines in. Our distribution here is terrible (we were 3-4 years behind last December so yeah) so I was honestly surprised! I picked up one of the Cutie Mark Crew Wedding Bash blind boxes. I got an EQG Twilight Sparkle. I also found two Breyer horses, a Classic pinto on the Ginger mold and Cigar, $3 for both <3 Neither are broken at all, just some rubs! Definitely worth it! I hit a pony jackpot today! First I went to the antique store and found a bag of ponies, and then I went on over to our Salvation Army and they had a whole basket of ponies sitting out on a table. My dad works down by the border in Texas (he's a trucker) and we were thinking about possibly making a trip down there to hang out with him soon. I thought I might try my luck at some flea markets/thrift stores while we're there and it got me thinking that there might be the small possibility of finding Mexican Nirvana ponies.
So I was just curious; has anyone ever found one outside of Mexico in the wild before? I'd also love to see pics of any Mexican Nirvanas y'all have!

So I saw this thread awhile ago that was like 'ponies you regret getting rid of', but I didn't see one about ponies you regret not buying. Sorry in advance if there was one and I missed it! Probably my biggest regret was finding a Munchy in an antique shop for like $5 as a kid while visiting my grandparents and not buying her because I had limited vacation money. I didn't understand too much about pony rarity at the time either, but...man. I really regret not getting her to this day

She has a couple flaws on her non-display side and some of the silver paint has rubbed off her symbol, but otherwise she is absolutely lovely.
